About: My dogs have always been very high needs growing up, so I have a lot of experience working with different diets, medications, and needs. I'm an athlete, so I can take them out for long periods of time to get exercise as needed, which can be really helpful for hyperactive dogs who have to be cooped up during the day. I'm also entirely capable of caring for senior dogs, I can take things at their pace and make sure they're comfortable and happy. I am currently a full time college student, but I have a lot of open time either between classes or after them. I commute to the Twin Cities from the suburbs, so I can easily travel wherever I am needed to be able to check in on or take care of your furry friends. Being in the cities with my own car I can take dogs out for walks around the lakes or down some of the trails nearby so they (and I) can get some proper exercise before my classes. When caring for pets, I always make sure they are getting plenty of time to move around, especially if I'm just dropping in to check on them, but regardless of the need. I like to keep a checklist of what I need to get done, as well as just having a bit of time to play with or pet them. I can take pets out for walks on foot or with my roller skates, which lets me go longer distances with them. I make sure to clean up any messes I might make, putting everything back as I found it and keeping things nice and tidy for when you get home again. I'm confident staying in new places, and can make sure everything stays safe in your home or space during my time there.

About: I grew up on a farm with 2 dogs and lots of other animals. Both dogs were part of the family and slept in the house. One always by my bed. I owned a Boxer and a Yorkie as an adult. They were part of the family growing up with my kids. Both dogs have crossed the Rainbow Bridge and my kids are adults living their best lives with their significant others. I have two loving cats. I volunteer with the MN Boxer Rescue picking up and transporting to foster care when it meshes with my schedule. Recently put my name on their list for emergency foster care just to get the dog in need here to Minnesota until a long term foster care provider is available. I enjoy pet sitting for my dog fix and it helps support my horseback riding lessons😊 I work Monday through Friday full time. I am able to work from home one day a week. I have watched both big and small dogs on this schedule and have had no issues. This might not work for all dogs during the week as each one is different. I baby gate my stairs so my cats can run around upstairs and come down to check out your dog if they want. At night your dog can stay downstairs loose if you tell me he/she is ok that way or crated. If he/she needs to be with me in the same room at night that works too, but preferably in a crate as my cats sleep with me. If it is only for a weekend I can put the cats in my spare bedroom at night so your dog would not have to be crated in my room. Every dog is different, so I am flexible. I live across from the Mississippi Gateway Regional park in a townhouse with lots of trails for walking. I am only a 10 minute walk from a dog park. I will take your dog out as often as you let me know he/she needs to go out. Like I said , I work full time during the week, so I might not fit your dogs needs if he/she is not able to hold it while I am gone at work. Weekends I am home.

“Sarah has changed my life. That’s not hyperbole. It’s fact. I have severe anxiety and used to struggle with sleep every time we traveled. My mind would spiral: Are the pets okay? Is the house okay? It made it hard to enjoy even the best-planned trips. But since finding Sarah, everything has changed. She is truly the reason I can now travel and actually relax. We have a pretty tricky crew: Finn, our blue heeler, is skeptical of strangers and slow to warm up - even with family. Evie, our 16-year-old cat, is the queen of the house and has never liked anyone outside my husband and me. Archie, our 2-year-old cat, is terrified of people. Somehow, they all love Sarah. Evie and Archie greet her when she arrives. They trust her enough to show their real (and very strong) personalities - which honestly, only we had seen until now. It blows my mind every time. And Finn? He worships her. Say “Auntie Sarah” and he’s at the door, tail wagging like mad. He knows what “Auntie Sarah sleepover” means and gets downright giddy. Sarah takes Finn on walks and off-leash park adventures we trust no one else with. We’ve had other sitters struggle to even leash him - but not Sarah. He’s fully at ease with her. Once, when we had to use a different sitter (never again) who was really struggling, Sarah volunteered to come by and help warm Finn up to her so he would be less scared. Who else would do that? She’s handled small pet health hiccups with total calm and competence, sends the funniest and most thoughtful updates, and somehow takes incredible photos of our pets. She noticed when Finn got a new collar?! She knows every cat hiding spot, nap schedule, and routine by heart. We used to leave pages of notes - now we don’t even bother. She knows them better than anyone. And she takes incredible care of our home, too. It’s spotless when we return - trash out, dishes done, even the sheets washed. We honestly wouldn’t know she’d been there if it weren’t for how sad our pets look when they realize it's just us coming home, not her. We’re child-free, and our pets are our whole world. We trust Sarah so much we’d shift our travel dates just to make sure she is available. We have never even considered using anyone else again. Sarah is a spectacular human. We adore her. I almost didn’t want to post this review because I selfishly want to keep her to ourselves. But truly: Book Sarah. You will not regret it.”
