About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all sizes since I was little. I grew up with animals my whole life. When I turned 13, my neighbors would ask me to take care of their dogs and/or cats when they were gone. Whether it was feeding and letting them out or going on walks and cleaning the cat litter box or even giving them medication. I am currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota, majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary focus. My spring semester schedule is fairly full during the week due to classes. I am unavailable on Mondays and Tuesdays, as I have classes all day. I am typically available after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and after 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. Unfortunately, I’m not available on Fridays or Saturdays, as I work long shifts both days. I’d be happy to help care for your pets during the times I’m available! I make sure that my dog is safe and happy at all times, I will hold the same standards for your pets. I am able to crate any dogs that need to be in their crate throughout the day, I can clean up any messes they make.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a while as I have two of my own! I will treat your dogs like I would my own! I work full time but my work is very flexible as well so I can fit around your schedule. We can definitely discuss more options for the schedule. I have two dogs of my own that I care for and I have a routine where I take them out every morning and feed them and take them for walks and just spend quality time. I can easily adapt to your dogs routine and treat them as my own.

We subscribe to Bark Box so there are plenty of toys and treats to enjoy during their stay! I’ve helped care for dogs my whole life, and I’ve always been an animal lover. When I was a teen I volunteered at the Humane Society, as an adult I’ve rescued several of my pets. During the typical school year I work M-F 7:30-2:30 at a school very close to home, with a lunch break between 11-12 that allows me to come home and let the dogs out. In the summer I’m home more often, as my hours are greatly reduced when I work summer school. I enjoy spending time in the yard playing with the animals, facilitating puppy play dates, busting out the doggy wading pool, or just letting them do their thing as I do yard work and garden. We also enjoy walks, our house is a short distance from Sand Creek Trail so your pup can enjoy the sights and smells of nature without having to go far at all. Our property offers a large fenced in backyard which allows your pet to go on bathroom breaks, enjoy the sunshine and play without the restriction of a leash. We have a doggy wading pool for hot summer days, and our house is not far from Sand Creek Trail so your furry friend can enjoy a bit of nature while they are out for a walk. Bathroom breaks will be offered at regular intervals no more than 4 hours apart. During their stay your pet will be allowed on our furniture, have access to playmates, toys, treats, walks, and unlimited praise and affection. We never feed table scraps, and always put the toilet lid down. As caregivers we are experienced in caring for elderly animals as well as animals with special needs, including but not limited to administering oral medications (liquid and pill form), ear drops, subcutaneous insulin injections, and supporting pets with mobility issues and vision impairment. If you prefer your pet to be crated at any time during their stay we are able to provide a large crate or you are welcome to bring your own per your discretion. Maddie was amazing with our pets! We had never had a house sitter before and had never left our 2 dogs and 2 cats for more than a few days before. Maddie helped put us at ease before we left. She had great communication, asked questions, assured us she would treat the pets as if they were her own. Throughout the trip, we received daily updates and pictures. Even though we were on vacation, the pictures and updates became a daily highlight for us. It was very clear Maddie was taking great care of all four of our pets as well as the house and our plants. We also knew she was taking good care of our pets since you could tell our pets were showing her their individual personalities through her updates. When we returned home, the house was clean, pets were well-cared for, and she left us a summary note to review with final updates and information on where she had been putting the garden produce she picked while we were gone. We couldn't have been happier with how Maddie watched over our house and pets. We would absolutely have Maddie back without a second thought whenever we decide to take our next trip in the future!
