“Anika was wonderful! She had great communication and sent pictures of our dogs during the time we were away. She walked our dogs as requested and they absolutely loved her! We will definitely use her again and again!”

“Katherine did a great job with my dogs! I really appreciate her staying at my place and keeping it nice and clean. :) Would definitely book with her again! :)”

“Carolina provided above and beyond care and updates while watching Roxy while we were away for the weekend! Her interactions with our GSD and the updates she would provide made it easy for us to enjoy our time away but also have peace of mind that Roxy was getting the attention she needed. We think Carolina must be psychic, because whenever we were wondering what our Roxy was up to or just wanting to see her today, we’d get an update and some photos to get a peek at their day! Will definitely want to have Carolina help in the future and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a Rover whether it’s your first or have had a few.”

“Very sweet and fabulous with our dog who has a lot of separation anxiety. Our dog loved her and when I came home, she didn’t go crazy like usual if I leave the house for a bit, which means she wasn’t feeling aa anxious. I really appreciate the care for our dog and look forward to booking her again!”

“Olivia was great with dogs and responsive. I didn’t have time to leave extremely detailed instructions before our trip and she was flexible. When we were worried our flight would be delayed for our return she was understanding and willing to extend her time if needed.”

“Connie was amazing! She was very thorough with our meet and greet. My animals also instantly loved her and felt comfortable with her which is especially rare for my dog. My dog usually needs to be coaxed to eat special food while I’m gone but she went straight for her dry kibble shortly after Connie got there. She’s a true animal lover :)”

“Carolyn treated my dog so well! She followed my notes to a T and ensured that she got lots of exercise and stimulation. She also provided frequent updates and photos. I can tell she cares deeply about animals, and I’m grateful she was able to watch my girl while I was out of town. I will definitely keep her in mind for future pet sitting needs!”

“My partner and I would absolutely hire Emerson again. He was on time, professional, and Jelly took to him instantly. Throughout our trip, he communicated regularly and was incredibly patient with Jelly, especially when she was testing him in the beginning. He won her over quickly, and from that point on, the entire stay went smoothly. We never had to worry about Jelly—she was clearly in good hands. Emerson followed every instruction, so there were no accidents or issues. When our flight was delayed, he reassured us without hesitation that he could stay longer and continue caring for her, which was such a relief. We came home to a happy dog and a clean house. What stood out most was how laser‑focused he was on Jelly’s needs and his demeanour was kind and compassionate. That’s exactly what we needed, and he delivered it with care and professionalism.”

“Grace was awesome with our dog Cooper!! He is timid around strangers. She spent time approaching him in our meet and greet and made all of us feel at ease. Grace took great care of him while we were out of town. We so appreciate the daily updates and pics! Highly recommend!”

“Ava did a fantastic job caring for our 2 yellow labs for a weekend. She sent us an update and photos. We had a meet and greet prior and all the communication was spot on. I highly recommend Ava!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Spring Lake Park
Jennifer took great care of our dogs while we were gone and our house. Dogs were happy when we returned house was cleaned up. Jennifer sent pictures and updates to us a few times a day. Would definitely ask her to watch our pups again if we have need thanks Jennifer for taking good care of our canine family members while we were gone!

Carolina was outstanding. It was the second time she was at our house. She was wonderful about confirming the time and asking any questions in advance. She sent photos and messages daily, if not multiple times a day. My flight was delayed late at night, and she was willing to wait to see if I could get home. She even thoughtfully washed the sheets and made me feel like it was no big deal for her to stay. Upon returning, I wouldn't have known she was here; the house was so clean. I couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you!

Tayler did a great job watching Ellie, our high energy golden retriever! We appreciated getting a daily update and photos while we were traveling, and it was clear that she took care of Ellie and our house like they were her own. We’d be happy to book Tayler again in the future!

This is the second time we've used Georgeanne and we will absolutely use her again! Great communication and never any problems. The pups were happy in all the photos and videos she sent and when we get home we knew they were well taken care of. Georgeanne is awesome! Thanks so much ❤️

Jenea is one of the best dog sitters! She is so compassionate with our 12 year old Corgi who has back leg issues. She cares so much she slept on the couch on main level as our Corgi can’t go upstairs and she didn’t want her to feel alone. So blessed to have her in our village!!!
Maddy is a super star. I had already been out of town for several days before my husband joined me for a long weekend. While I was gone, Bella laid by the door waiting for me to come hom. I was worried about how she was going g to be with both of us gone. Enter Maddy. Bella had a blast. Every photo or video she sent Bella, and our cat Taz, were smiling. I felt absolutely relieved and comfortable knowing Maddy was with them. Bella is having an issue with one of her legs and occasionally needs an anti-inflammatory. Maddy saw Bella was struggling a little and started her on the meds. So observant and caring. No new travel plans yet, but you can bet we connect with Maddy before we book anything else!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Spring Lake Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Spring Lake Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Spring Lake Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
