About: I've cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, skill levels, and with many different conditions. I've owned and cared for many rescues who have experienced trauma and separation anxiety. I volunteer as the head steward of a local off leash dog park. I've had dogs my entire life, currently I have a partially deaf sheepadoodle and a goldendoodle who is timid at first but they both love to run and play with their dog friends. I am primarily a stay at home mom of 3 kiddos that I homeschool. I do work a few hours a week at a local playground in town. We are very rarely gone from home for more than a couple hours at a time, even that isn't very common. We like to take field trips with our daycare dogs if the owners are comfortable: walk, playground, dog park, pet store, ECT. I have 2 very friendly dogs who love to have doggy friends over to play in our big fenced in back yard. I have 3 kiddos who adore dogs and are very educated on treating them with respect and understand boundaries with dogs. The dogs are allowed free reign of the yard and the house. We do allow pet on the furniture. We do have kennels on hand if needed for alone time, feeding, sleep, or in the office chance I need to leave the house while watching your dog.

As I've mentioned I do online classes so I can adjust my schedule to the needs of your dog. I am very flexible with pick up and drop off times as well. You are always free to adjust times with no extra charge, just send me a message and we'll work out the best time for you. I also do not charge in situations such as a missed flight, illness, or other unforseen circumstances that may require your dog to be in my care for a little longer. My main goal is to always treat your dogs like my own! Everyday I ensure to tell your dogs how much I love them and I try to spend as much time with them as possible. I also have a large fenced in yard where your dog can run and play, during the summer I usually hangout outside with the dogs for a good part of the day. If your dog is social, my dogs love to play and socialize with yours. I have a Golden Retriever and a Havapoo, they're both neutered and very friendly, and Rex my golden is very gentle with smaller dogs. If your dogs prefer to be on their own, I can do staggered outside time and keep them separate, no problem! While we're inside the dogs will usually walk around the house with me, either in my room or following whatever I'm doing. If for some reason they need to be in their own space or if it could be unsafe for them to do that, they will be in the laundry room at times like at night when I cannot fully keep my eyes on them.

I worked at a boarding facility with daycare, and I have fostered many dogs in the past. I’m an animal science major and have many hours of experience working with animals of all kinds. I will be working a summer job along with pet-sitting this summer. I will only be working max 8 hour shifts and will always have time to care for my own pets, along with yours. If you choose me to take care of them. I have an unfenced yard, but I do have a tether that I can attach a dog to. But of course, I can walk them around the yard on a leash, if that works better for the dog! A typical day with my dog looks like: Wake up and immediately feed him and replenish his water, then out for a potty break. We then spend some time relaxing while I get ready for the day. If he wants, we spend some time inside playing with toys. If I need to go to work, he resides in the common areas of the house. He will always get let out before I leave. If we spend a lot of time inside/if I have to work, I’ll get home and we usually go for a walk to get some energy out. We usually do some training and other daily activities either on the walk or after. Then in the evening he eats again, we go out for a potty break. Normally my dog doesn’t have an overabundance of energy, so we spend the rest of the night cuddling on the couch.

“Amy is beyond amazing!!! I would not second guess leaving my pet with her. She is such a caring person and it shows from her skills she has with pets. Amy was so welcoming to my pup and cared for her. She was also very flexible when I had to extend my dogs stay for longer than expected. She even got my dog to eat, and she sometimes has anxiety being in new places. Amy sends pictures and updates of your pet. She did an amazing job!!”
“Dave was amazing! We left our 2 dogs with him over thanksgiving. He gave daily updates with photos and answered any questions super quickly. We have one dog selective dog and he made sure to make him comfortable and not have to interact with any. Our other dog is a flight risk and he made sure she never got out of his yard. I think the dogs enjoyed their vacation as much as we did. We will for sure use Dave anytime he has availability!”
