I work from home and in the community , so doing in house sitting is very easy for me I usually work from home (hybrid) most days I am gone between 2 to 4-8 hours this varies ; at my regular job my clients sometimes reschedule to different days or times when they have things come up, they get sick, or with holidays . So typically before and after seeing clients I am working from home and can snuggle the pups/cats . I (typically) need a few weeks or 1/1.5 months notice for bookings but especially for longer stays but prefer that it is not more than 2-3 months in advance. you can ask that far out but I can’t guarantee I can commit that far out. ***If you are leaving for your trip early morning before 10AM , hide a key, use a lock box, Or please tell me your garage code day of. Otherwise I am sometimes driving 40minutes -1 hour without any pay or gas money just to get your key ahead of time. If you prefer to do the key ahead of time you can meet me at a public place to give it to me or I can let you know if I happen to be driving through your area ahead of time which isn’t always a thing but maybe.

Because I cannot currently have outside pets in my place of living and because animals feel a lot less anxious when they are in their own home, I mostly pet sit at owners houses overnights and bring my own food for the stay. When I dog walk I want to avoid hot pavement on their paws in hot Weather: I take all weather advisories seriously! * When the heat index is 90 degrees, walks will be cut short for your pet's safety and for my own. We will use up the remaining time getting pets and belly rubs or playing in doors. Walks may be early or delayed depending on the forecast. Your flexibility is appreciated. This goes for cold weather as well in winter. * In winter for drop in visits: if the temperatures dip below 20 degrees we may need to talk about turning our walk in to a drop-in visit. I will always communicate with my dog owners if a change of plan is necessary due to dangerous weather and temperatures." I also have an issue where my body doesn’t regulate temperatures well both cold/heat.

Let me know about pets with any specials needs, aggressive behaviors, if your pet is scared of anything and best approaches if so, medications they need and how to administer them, feed times and amount of food, if they have a bathroom schedule, if they will try to eat food that is on the counter when no one is looking, if they eat shoes/clothes. Verify if overnight means I am staying at your house in a bed or if I should /can go sleep at my own house. For overnights if there for more than 1 day, it is more practical for me to stay overnight otherwise gas costs back and forth could make prices higher to cover back and forth. Keep in mind Holiday Days/weeks prices are higher.
A typical day
I can snuggle and play with them if they like that. If weather permitting I can bring them on walks (if they do not pull hard and are walk trained as I have a chronic back injury) if you’d like, can play fetch in the yard, & of course gives them tons of pets and attention. I usually like to see if there is a nice trail near by for walks, otherwise I can do walks right by the house. 1-2 walks a day depending on the busyness of the day. I won’t be bringing dogs for 3 walks a day , usually in the beginning of day and end depending on my schedule. On good temperature days that are not super busy then sometimes I walk dogs for an hour just depends on what’s all going on & dogs have different preferences, abilities, and ages as well.

I’ve always had a strong connection with all pets I come into contact with and all my friends and family say I’m an “animals whisperer” because they are drawn to me and feel comfortable with me instantly. I’ve pet/house sat as well as dog walked for so many friends over the years, that I’m their first source of contact when they need someone to do the job. For a long time I did it for free even when offered money just because I love the company of animals, but then I started to get asked to do it so much it turned closer to a full time job. I love animals so much that spending time with them doesn’t feel like work, it feels like second nature. I love giving animals attention and seeing them happy. I haven’t had my own pet for about 7 years now because having roommates , but in my life I’ve had multiple cats & dogs of my own and also rats, a hamster, and a rabbit. I’ve pet sat a bearded dragon. As a vegan, I know how important respecting other species is. Animals are innocent sentient beings. I set my price based on some factors not listed including; (copied/pasted from forum) Rover takes 20% of my total booking amount, which would reflect any adjustments/discounts given to clients. For example if the client pays $60 for an overnight , I am only keeping $48 for that service . The fee that the owner pays is 5-7% of the booking cost added to the total cost, and the owner side service fee caps at $25, so it isn't "double" it is just that both the sitter and the owner have fees. The owners see the service fee when they pay so they are fully aware of the fee.

Tiffany has dog sat for me several times and my doggo is in great hands every time. She is very attentive and sends lots of updates, as I requested. She also handled an emergency with my dog while I was out of the country, which I am very grateful for as it was difficult and stressful to manage from overseas. I'd highly recommend her!
Tiffany did a great job taking care of my corgi, Leo! She came over in advance of my 9-day trip to meet us and it was easy to see she had an immediate great rapport with Leo. Each day I was on my trip, she gave him plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime. I could tell that Leo really enjoyed his time with her. Tiffany was very communicative throughout my time away. She checked in when she had questions and sent pictures and videos so that I could see all was going well. I would recommend her to others that are looking for someone to take care of their dog!
