I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, starting with two family dogs I grew up with from age 2 through 20. Over the years I’ve looked after friends’ and family members’ pets of all breeds and sizes, including puppies, seniors, and dogs with medical or mobility needs. I have hands‑on experience providing medication and tailoring care to each dog’s comfort level. While boarding in our home, your pup will be welcomed by our family who will give lots of love and attention and help with routine care making sure your pet is comfortable and safe. During housesitting, I will treat your home with respect and your pet with the same attention, consistency, and affection you give them. I stay overnight for all house‑sits and personally handle all pet care. My goal is to keep their routine steady, their environment calm, and their day filled with companionship.

Booking with Renae was a wonderful family affair! Lars was loved on and treated to a trip ‘up north’ and even a boat ride. Daughter said at pick up that Lars was her favorite boarder ever! He was happy when we picked him up and I think he was very comfortable during his stay. He is a rescue that we haven’t had for very long, so I was a bit anxious leaving him. I’m glad I found Renae and her family!
Renae and family took excellent care of our dog Otto while I was away and out of touch on a wilderness trip. They sent photos and updates and Otto came home happy. We’ll definitely use Renae again!
Renae and her family were wonderful! She accepted a last-minute boarding request and even let us drop off our dog early in the morning before our flight. Her home was a great setup, with a cozy living space and access to a fenced yard for the dogs to enjoy. She gave us space to enjoy our vacation but was always responsive and happy to send photos whenever we asked. We felt comfortable leaving our dog in her care and would happily recommend her to others!

Schedule
I work part time 3 days outside the house for a few hours Mon/Tues/Th, however I am home the majority of the day including weekends. At our home, my family helps with companionship and routine care, giving your dog extra attention and a warm, safe environment. I also have a vehicle and am able to pick up and drop off as needed.

I take pride in caring for all pets and following all and any instruction or special requests given. I will always be respectful of a clients home and treat your dog with dignity and love. At our home, dogs are free to roam upstairs (except in bedrooms) and the downstairs is off limits unless supervised. We make use of pet gates to contain dogs in different areas but with plenty of space to move freely. Our living room goes directly out to our deck and back yard. We are able to keep pets out of the kitchen if that would be a 'no go' spot.
A typical day
We live in a quiet neighborhood, with a park one block from the house which also has two dog parks, one for nervous and smaller dogs and the other is your regular style. After I get my kids to school we can walk to the park, play fetch, socialize with other doggies and run around to their hearts content! Our fenced in backyard is the perfect spot to play fetch, lay in the grass, or in the shade of our big tree. The fence is nice and tall for safety as well.
