“Elizabeth was amazing with our girls. She was very knowledgeable and gave us reassurance with leaving our girls. She provided updates and the girls did fantastic with her. Dogs know good people when they meet them and Elizabeth is Good people. Would definitely book with her again!!”

“We’ve used Brooke several times and can’t recommend her enough! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and she is great with each of them. The animals love her and we love knowing that they are well cared for while we’re away.”

“Emmajo is an amazing pet sitter! We are new to the area and needed a pet sitter for the weekend she constantly kept us updated and sent lot of pictures of our fur babies. She loved cuddling them and taking our dog for walks. I will definitely be using EmmaJo in the future. 10/10 can’t recommend enough!!”

“Sam was great! Our girls can be a handful with a lot of energy but he handled them like a champ. When we came home they didn’t give us the stink eye so we know they liked him. 😂”

“Summer took great care of Toad through an unexpected illness and emergency vet visit. We were so thankful for her communication throughout and for her good care of our pup.”

“Lauren - in a word - was fantastic! She was able to sit for our kids kind of last minute and she was great!! Sent tons of pictures, gave us regular updates, and took great care of the kids and the house! I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend her to watch over your fur babies!!”

“Chuck was great with our two dogs! Sent daily updates with pictures and we felt like they were always in good hands. Will definitely be utilizing his services in the future!”

“KRISTEN IS THE BEST! If you’re thinking of contacting her- do it. We were out of town for four days and we had never used Rover at all before. It’s safe to say we were nervous to leave our two dogs behind. Kristen was simply awesome. Both dogs have very unique personalities and needs, and Kristen was SO attentive to each and every need. Between an anxious dog who hid under the bed, taking the dogs to the dog park, walking them on trails, and up-keeping very specific potty and feeding routines, Kristen handled everything. On top of that, we received many pictures and videos, which made us feel so much better about leaving our dogs behind. Kristen even took the dogs out separately for potty and playing, which is something we are so thankful for. Additionally, our apartment was left probably even cleaner than it was when we handed over our keys to her. We are already planning on booking her again. She’s a totally dog person, and cares so much about every dog’s needs. We feel like we hit the jackpot, and very lucky. Thank you, Kristen!”
“Hailey did a wonderful job watching our anxious foster dog Alvin! She handled him with great patience and care, and it was comforting to know he was with someone so knowledgeable about dog behavior and would go the extra mile to ensure he was as comfortable as possible.”

“Hailey was so awesome with my two cats! They were very happy while I was away, and I could tell she gave them all the love and care they needed, and sent lot of pics to me. Thank you so much Hailey!!”

“John was amazing with Emma and Kiki. Emma is usually pretty anxious and crazy around new people, but she was very peaceful with John right away, and I can see he's very passionate about animals. John gave plenty of updates and got Emma tons of exercise. And he made sure to give Kiki lots of attention too (Which can be hard to do when Emma demands so much of it). I'd definitely recommend John to anyone!”
“Forrest had an amazing time with Madison! Madison took excellent care of my dog during their week-long stay. Daily updates and photos kept me informed, and Madison was proactive in sharing important details. Highly recommended!”

“What a truly exceptional experience we had with Howie. This was our first time having Howie stay at our home to care for our rescue beagle Gigi and start-to-finish Howie had warm and loving attention to Gigi, great care of our home, and excellent communication and pictures. We fully recommend!”

“Lauren took such great care of Jazzi and Remi! She sent updates and photos and I could tell they were all having the best time! I will definitely be booking her services again. Thanks Lauren!! 🐾💕”

“Emerson was an amazing sitter for our two girls. I got daily updates, came home to a clean home and didn’t worry one bit while we were away. We came home to two very happy doggos and will definitely book again. Thank you for taking such good care of our girls and making it so easy to enjoy our vacation. We appreciate you!”

“Tayler did a great job taking care of our two dogs and our home. It brought us peace of mind and lots of smiles to see photos and hear how it was going. She was extremely responsible, caring and friendly. If we could give her 10 stars, we would!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Louis Park
Suz stayed with my three cats overnight for almost two weeks and I have never felt more at ease while being away from them. Upon meeting Suz, it was clear how much she understands and appreciates each individual cat and their quirks. She is patient, kind, warm, communicative, detail oriented, and observant. Suz sent numerous pictures and little notes about what the cats got up to throughout the day and how they spent their mornings/evenings. As an anxious cat parent, it was so heartwarming seeing how quickly Suz built trust with my cats (even the socially awkward one!) and how comfortable they all were with her. She went above and beyond in her care, both for the cats and the apartment. Suz is SUCH a gem and I would recommend her a million times over for anyone looking for a sitter who cares for and loves their pets the same way they do. Suz treated my cats like they were her own, and if you ask her about her Stella, you’ll see how special that is, and how special Suz is.

"We cannot recommend Christian highly enough! We recently went on a two-week vacation and were naturally a bit anxious about leaving our 12-year-old Great Dane, Humphrey. Given his size and his age-related mobility issues, Humphrey requires extra care, patience, and attention. Christian stepped up and handled everything perfectly. The absolute highlight of our days away was receiving the daily videos Christian sent us—it gave us complete peace of mind seeing our big guy so comfortable and well taken care of. If you need a trustworthy, compassionate sitter, especially for a senior dog, Christian is fantastic."

Rose did a wonderful job taking care of my 2 dogs and 2 wild kittens. She sent updates and pictures - left the house in great shape. In addition to the great care she provided - my impression of Rose is that she is friendly, kind, trustworthy, respectful and accommodating to needs and requests. I highly recommend Rose and will most definitely be booking her again!

Ej was fantastic! You can tell she has a way with animals, and shes the perfect mix of responsible while being laid back. When we came home from our trip our place was spotless and our animals were happy! She was also extremely responsive when we reached out and sent us some great photos. We will book again :)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Saint Louis Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Saint Louis Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Saint Louis Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
