About: I've been around animals my whole life; 24 years of working with horses and dogs will do that to you! At this point, caring for pets just feels like second nature to me. I offer drop ins, walks, and overnight stays at your place or mine, and a home that's genuinely calm and quiet. I'm most comfortable with dogs but am happy to care for cats or other small furry friends with guidance. About: I've taken care of several dogs and cats for my friends and family as well as my family's pets while growing up. About: I have taken care of many dogs and cats over the years. I have had 5 dogs and 6 cats myself in my lifetime. I regularly take care of a 14 year old dachshund. I have been caring for him for over 8 years now. He comes to my place and stays up to a couple of weeks several times a year. My dog and cat both get along with others very well. Deru is the little guys name. He is a diabetic. I have many years of experience giving him his insulin shots and special food needs. I feel I can handle most any pets needs with little or no problems. I have many many references I can share with whoever would like them? I love rescuing dogs and cats. I love trying to help place them in loving homes. I also know many vets in town that would also give me great references as well. I can't think of anything I would rather do with my life than taking care of dogs, and cats!! I have a dog and a cat myself. My dog is a high energy dog so she gets dog park time every day as well as walks around her neighborhood almost daily. I only have a partially fenced yard. However I will not let a clients dog of a leash unless we are at an off leash dog park.

About: Hi, I'm Caitlin! Being a pet parent is special, and I genuinely understand what it means to trust someone with your pet. I lost my 15-year-old dog last year, and that kind of loss changes how you see pet care, and it's exactly why I take this seriously. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. If you want someone who treats your pets the way you would, please send me a message! I'm currently in between jobs, which means I have maximum flexibility for mid-day walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I only confirm stays I can genuinely support. I build the routine around the pet to the best of my ability. I'll ask you what your animal's schedule looks like at home and do my best to mirror it. I know consistency matters! I treat communication as part of the service. You won't wonder how your pet is doing. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you in advance about their routine (feeding schedule, walk preferences, any quirks or triggers) and I follow it to the best of my ability. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.

About: I have been a veterinary technician since 2009 and wouldn't trade it for anything. I work at an animal hospital 5 blocks away from home, so medical care is always close by if needed. I grew up on a little horse farm and always had animals of all sorts, especially dogs. Though Rob didn't grow up with pets, he now wants to bring in any animal that needs a home. Monday and Tuesday we are both in the office, but everyone is still able to be let out every 4 hours. The other days there is usually someone home most of the day. We recently had, what we like to refer to as, a senior center for elderly cats and dogs. But they have all passed and we now have 2 young large dogs, Gramps and Nana. Small senior dogs have our hearts, and we are more than well trained to care for them. Dont let our dogs size deter you, because they are their favorites too. We typically only take on one family at a time. If there are multiple requests for the same dates we will check with both families and meet the dogs before we consider taking them both on. All dogs are family in our house. They get all the same snuggles and get to sleep in the bed if they normally do. I know I love to get picture updates when my dogs are at the sitters, so I like to do the same. If you're dog is unsure about being around our pets, we do have a lot of space and they can have their own room (our dogs are our kids). Taking care of pets is my job. So if you're pet needs medications, injections, fluids, etc. I am happy to do it. We are available for pet care in our home 7 days a week. If you are needing care in your home that will be on a case by case basis of availability. We supervise everyone while they are outside and have 2 separate fenced in yards. One of the yards is larger and contains an in ground pool. They are only allowed in that yard supervised and if you are comfortable with it. If that's the case, we do like to know ahead of time if you're dog likes to swim. If they do enjoy swimming I am happy to clean their ears afterwards so they don't get those pesky ear infections. We have XL and small crates if your dog needs to be crated at night or when we leave. I also have cameras on them to keep an eye out when we are out of the house. Two days a week we are both at the office. I am able to come home during lunch and let everyone out, then Rob comes home a few hours later. Otherwise someone is usually always home. Everyone usually only stays on the main level of the house, except when spending the day working with Rob they can be in a gated area downstairs. There are also about 4 steps to get in and out of the potty yard. This works well for most dogs, but we do carry our seniors.

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life, ranging in sizes from mini - extra large! I have always had a love for taking care of dog and I would love to meet yours! I am a volunteer for No Dogs Left Behind- that is where we rescued our Willy boy from! We also temporarily foster from time to time. My typical day consist of breakfast and potty 7-8am, Midmorning playtime/ potty, 2-3pm lunch then potty, 4:30pm playtime/ walk, 7pm dinner, 8pm night walk. I live on a first floor apartment with a partially fenced in backyard, making it easy to let your fur baby out to play and potty as much as needed! I know how scared it is to leave your furry friend for the day and or a long trip. I will assure you that my household is a welcoming, fun, and calming environment! I live about 10 minutes away walking to the lake of the Isles dog park (if you are comfortable with it) and have the Greenway 200 feet away for great walks and sniffs. My dog William, the love bug, gets along great with all breeds and sizes.

About: I've lived on a homestead taking care of farm animals including dogs, cats, goats, horses, chickens, and much more! My parents bred and trained AKC Labradors and Beagles for wild game hunting. I became a farm hand for a local barn in New Hampshire at the age of 14. Once I was 16 I started overnight caretaking for horses, dogs, and cats. I have experience training puppies and rescue dogs with my parents. I also own amphibians and non conventional pets so I'm familiar with exotic caretaking. I'm currently working part time during the evening shifts so I'll have plenty of time during the day to play with your pets! Most of my shifts fall on the weekend and they are no longer than 6 hours. I live in apartment that does not allow cats or dogs so any pet sitting will have to be done at your home. I have my own private insurance alongside Rover Garantee. I will need a full tour of your yard if it's fenced, to make sure there aren't any means of escaping. A full detailed care sheet that includes the pet's schedule, behavioral concerns (a must), vitamins or medications schedule, prefered place to walk or run (typical place you go to help understand your pet's public behavior and help form trust with them. I will always learn your pet's behavior in a controlled and comfortable environment first. Then if you approve, we can eventually go on hikes. The more detail I have about your pet, the better their transition will be in my care. Trust and Safety is my top priority when caring for a family member that can't speak.

Allen was relaxed when I picked him up, which is special because he isn’t relaxed if we put him in a commercial pet boarding facility. We feel very lucky to have Ashlie and her family look after Allen.”
