“Nick was very helpful, taking a last minute job to take care of our dog. He even took a second visit job when we couldn’t get back. He did everything I asked and was prompt and clear with his communication! Thanks Nick!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of being a pet owner myself for over 9 years and have cared for family and friends pets for over 20 years, with experience with reactive dogs specifically, as well as puppies and seniors alike. I’m currently working from home with flexible hours that allow for convenience to step out for walks, feeding time or check-ins/play-time as needed, especially local to St. Louis Park, Hopkins and Minneapolis. As my own dog is reactive to other pets I will only be able to provide care in your home/walks or playtime outside. I have experience pet and house-sitting and am comfortable with fitting into your routine as easily and seamlessly as possible. I am always comfortable with any level of communication, check-ins/photo documentation, home camera systems, and proof of locked doors/house security.

“Melissa was attentive and caring with both of our dogs. Even our one that is very used to specific people and routines warmed up to Melissa and looked forward to her visits. That was great reassurance that helped us enjoy our trip.”
“Tori did such a wonderful job with the house visits for my two cats when I went out of town. She's friendly, kind and my cats loved her. I will definitely be re-booking with her in the near future!”

“April is a very professional dog sitter - kept me up to date, communicated clearly, and took great care of my dogs!!! I will definitely seek her help with future dog sitting needs!”

“Taylor is the best! She always goes above and beyond every time she watches my cat. I completely trust her to care for her and give her so much love, just like she was her own. Highly recommend!”

“Kaitlyn did a very good job watching after our two cats. She took lots of pictures and played with them. I really appreciated how well she communicated with us while we were gone!”

“Maddy is wonderful! She took detailed notes about Maisie’s care when we met and I could tell she cares deeply about the pets she works with. She also shared lots of pictures and helpful notes about her drop in visits. I’ve already booked with Maddy again and plan to continue working with her in the future.”

“This is my second time booking Anne for a pet sitting. She is so thorough and kind. She really cares about my cats and treats them so well. Her drop ins are very detailed. Definitely will be booking her next time!”

About: I’ve owned a number of well-trained dogs over the years and all of my friends always comment about how much animals love me! I take care of a number of friends/ acquaintances pets while they are away. I teach full time so I work until 5:30 Monday-Friday but I’m off the clock any time other than that! I’m also able to potty during break. I house/ pet sitting for a number of people in my personal life so I’m accustomed to adapting to whatever lifestyle your pet may need!
“AMAZING care for our dog! Annalise sent several photos and videos, even though she only did a drop in visit for an hour. They played outside, they walked around the lake, and watched a little TV together to wind down. Earl (our pup) was happy not anxious at all when we got home. He had a GREAT day with Annalise. I'm so pleased I found someone dependable and so good with dogs that is close to our home. I will definitely be booking with her again, if she will have us!”

“Darwin did a wonderful job with our 2 cats. They are so quick to respond to texts and always sent a descriptive note about how each visit went. Our cats were happy and relaxed when we arrived home again.”

“Highly recommend! It was obvious from the fabulous photos that Gabriella made my cat feel extremely comfortable and cared for. Her in-depth reports gave me immense peace of mind while I was out of town. Thank you so much!”

About: I am a registered nurse in Minneapolis who is looking to pet sit/walk on my days off. I grew up with cats and dogs my entire life, and I was one of the main caretakers for them. I also sit for my coworkers, family, and friends when needed. I am very active and love to bring pets on long/short walks and runs. I work as a registered nurse who works 2-3 12 hour shifts a week. I have many off days to care for your pet for the entire day. I have a fenced yard and safe neighborhood for walking. My house is very clean and decluttered so no animals would get into anything to harm them.
“Carla is a wonderful sitter. Absolutely reliable, great with communications, and very good with our older dog. She is a joy to work with. My wife and I cannot recommend Carla enough - she is a true star!”

“John was fantastic with Carl! He spent a lot of extra time with Carl, who just likes to sit outside. John sent photos and plenty of updates. We're looking forward to using John again!”

“Reagan is honestly the greatest. Prompt, a good communicator, extremely kind, and very accommodating are just some of the things I love about her. When she stayed overnight in my home she left it cleaner than I did! I have many pets and she followed all directions perfectly. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you for everything, Reagan ♥️ hope to see you soon!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Louis Park
Ava did an awesome job taking care of our kitty Winnie while we were away! She was so attentive and provided detailed feedback each day about how things were going. She watched over our house and watered our flowers as well. She also drew an adorable picture of our girl. Would highly recommend!!

Susan did a wonderful job keeping an eye on my two cats while I was away for four days. She sent updates and photos, gave them their special treats every day, followed my instructions to a "T" and even offered to pick up more of their favorite food when I ran low. Lovely person, and great job. Will definitely hire her again.

Maddy is wonderful! She took detailed notes about Maisie’s care when we met and I could tell she cares deeply about the pets she works with. She also shared lots of pictures and helpful notes about her drop in visits. I’ve already booked with Maddy again and plan to continue working with her in the future.

I feel lucky to have found someone just blocks away to watch my two cats. I am new to the city and do not know my neighbors yet. Eleanor was easy to communicate with, came over ahead of time to meet the cats, and kept things under control in a heat wave. It was a huge peace of mind to know my pets were cared for while I was gone.

It is a relief when we know that Annalise can watch our cat when we are away. She’s very conscientious – she knows a lot about pets – in fact, she made a suggestion about my cat’s diet, which has really made an improvement – she does it in a nice humble way. Highly recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Saint Louis Park. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
