“Kaitlyn is so great with my dog Rasmus! She takes a ton of pictures on the walks which is very much appreciated. Rasmus always has the best time on his walks with her. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a walker!”

About: Hi, I'm Caitlin! Being a pet parent is special, and I genuinely understand what it means to trust someone with your pet. I lost my 15-year-old dog last year, and that kind of loss changes how you see pet care, and it's exactly why I take this seriously. Every animal in my home gets real attention, a consistent routine, and the kind of care I'd want for my own. My home is a calm, adults-only environment with a fully fenced yard to ensure safe outdoor time, and my neighborhood is a quiet tucked away pocket near Cedar Lake. While I try to board pets only from the same home, there can at times be exceptions (mostly holidays). While my main living area is on one level, there are stairs required to get into the home via the front door. I also welcome & love cats. I've been fostering through Pet Haven for over a year, so I understand what a cat actually needs in a new space (spoiler: it's not just food and good vibes), and how to introduce pets to a decompression space and other pets they are not familiar with. I keep my roster intentionally small so I can give every animal genuine attention, not assembly-line pet care. You'll get photos and updates throughout, so you can actually enjoy your time away. If you want someone who treats your pets the way you would, please send me a message! I'm currently in between jobs, which means I have maximum flexibility for mid-day walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I only confirm stays I can genuinely support. I build the routine around the pet to the best of my ability. I'll ask you what your animal's schedule looks like at home and do my best to mirror it. I know consistency matters! I treat communication as part of the service. You won't wonder how your pet is doing. At my home: As often as possible I try to start every stay with a meet-and-greet so your pet arrives already familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you in advance about their routine (feeding schedule, walk preferences, any quirks or triggers) and I follow it to the best of my ability. My home is calm, adults-only, and has a fully fenced yard for dogs. For cats, I set up a dedicated decompression space so they can settle in at their own pace. I typically do not take overlapping bookings unless the pets are from the same household, but there are sometimes exceptions. At your home: I follow whatever directions you leave. I'll send photo updates so you know things are normal, and I'll flag anything that seems off rather than wait until you're home. For cats especially, in-home sitting is often the lower-stress option, and after a year of fostering, I know how to read a cat who's fine versus one who isn't.
About: I grew up with dogs my whole life — raised puppies from the chewing everything stage all the way to the old weary bones. It's just always been part of how I live. I also have a flexible schedule, so your dog isn't getting a rushed 15 minute visit. I've got the time to actually hang out, play, and give them the attention they deserve. Lots of dog experience + lots of free time = your pup's new favorite sitter. Due to the fact I'm self employed, my schedule is pretty flexible day to day. I'm available most days and can work around whatever times work best for you and your pup — mornings, afternoons, evenings, it's not a problem. Your dog's safety always comes first — whether it's a walk, a check in, or an overnight stay. I'm attentive, keep things calm and consistent, and treat every dog like my own. I know trust is a big deal when you're letting someone into your home or taking your pup out, so I don't take it lightly.
About: I’ve owned a number of well-trained dogs over the years and all of my friends always comment about how much animals love me! I take care of a number of friends/ acquaintances pets while they are away. I teach full time so I work until 5:30 Monday-Friday but I’m off the clock any time other than that! I’m also able to potty during break. I house/ pet sitting for a number of people in my personal life so I’m accustomed to adapting to whatever lifestyle your pet may need!

About: Experience with dogsitting, catsitting, and housesitting. I've provided pet/house care for families who have taken extended vacations (2-5 weeks). Love to be active and play with animals! I'm responsible and consistent and willing to help with extra tasks in your home (plant care, light cleaning, taking out trash, etc.). While I can't have your pet in my home, I am able and willing to stay overnight, drop-in for extended visits/walks, and/or do what your pet needs to be comfortable. I have years of experience nannying in people’s homes and I’m currently working as a speech therapist in school and hospital settings. I hope you’ll give me a chance to take care of your pet(s)! My work schedule varies, but I generally work 3-4 weekdays from around 8-4pm. I’m able to stop by before work, after work, weekends, and of course stay over if that works best! I always try to incorporate exercise and/play into the pet’s day if possible. I try to make sure animals feel safe and cared for, giving space if they need.

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing outside, or relaxing on the couch, I’m happy to provide the care they’re most comfortable with. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel at ease while you’re away! I’m currently working part-time so I have lots of flexibility to hang with the pups! My schedule is pretty all over the place so depending on the day I can adjust my schedule. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and am very much a dog lover! I am comfortable doing whatever to help meet the needs of the dog and owner.
About: I have been a veterinary technician since 2009 and wouldn't trade it for anything. I work at an animal hospital 5 blocks away from home, so medical care is always close by if needed. I grew up on a little horse farm and always had animals of all sorts, especially dogs. Though Rob didn't grow up with pets, he now wants to bring in any animal that needs a home. Monday and Tuesday we are both in the office, but everyone is still able to be let out every 4 hours. The other days there is usually someone home most of the day. We recently had, what we like to refer to as, a senior center for elderly cats and dogs. But they have all passed and we now have 2 young large dogs, Gramps and Nana. Small senior dogs have our hearts, and we are more than well trained to care for them. Dont let our dogs size deter you, because they are their favorites too. We typically only take on one family at a time. If there are multiple requests for the same dates we will check with both families and meet the dogs before we consider taking them both on. All dogs are family in our house. They get all the same snuggles and get to sleep in the bed if they normally do. I know I love to get picture updates when my dogs are at the sitters, so I like to do the same. If you're dog is unsure about being around our pets, we do have a lot of space and they can have their own room (our dogs are our kids). Taking care of pets is my job. So if you're pet needs medications, injections, fluids, etc. I am happy to do it. We are available for pet care in our home 7 days a week. If you are needing care in your home that will be on a case by case basis of availability. We supervise everyone while they are outside and have 2 separate fenced in yards. One of the yards is larger and contains an in ground pool. They are only allowed in that yard supervised and if you are comfortable with it. If that's the case, we do like to know ahead of time if you're dog likes to swim. If they do enjoy swimming I am happy to clean their ears afterwards so they don't get those pesky ear infections. We have XL and small crates if your dog needs to be crated at night or when we leave. I also have cameras on them to keep an eye out when we are out of the house. Two days a week we are both at the office. I am able to come home during lunch and let everyone out, then Rob comes home a few hours later. Otherwise someone is usually always home. Everyone usually only stays on the main level of the house, except when spending the day working with Rob they can be in a gated area downstairs. There are also about 4 steps to get in and out of the potty yard. This works well for most dogs, but we do carry our seniors.
“Kayla was a life saver for me this past week! I typically work from home but was traveling for work - so Kayla came over during the workdays to take Barley for a walk. She was flexible, responsive, and loving towards my two-year-old golden. She even offered to bring Barley a raincoat when it was raining one day the days! I will definitely be using Kayla again on my next work trip!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats my whole life, from kittens to seniors, and since I was 12 I’ve watched my friends and neighbors dogs as well. I’ve given both cats and dogs medication as well as bottle fed them if they were too young for solid food. I have an incredibly flexible hybrid work schedule! Whatever you or your pets needs, I will be able to meet them without any work conflicts. You know your pet better than anyone. Whatever instructions you give me to keep them safe, happy, and healthy, I promise to follow exactly. I love animals and my schedule is very flexible, so whenever your needs are, I will do my absolute best to meet them!

“Melissa has been a wonderful addition to our list of walkers. She’s reliable, on time, and I know Gable enjoys time with her. I really enjoy the updates from her about their walking adventures. She also responds quickly to any questions or requests. I highly recommend her. She’s great!”

About: i’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for two years, in addition I have my own five-year-old pup who I raised and means the world to me. I am patient and dependable, and will always treat your pet with the same attention and love I would want for my own! I am available weekdays and weekends and have flexible hours so I can accommodate if needed, but preferably mornings or afternoons and evenings work best! I have a friendly medium sized dog if they enjoy company otherwise I live right next to a park that they can have long or short leash walks in a very nice area!
“Sydney has walked our dog, Gus, a few times now and he can be a bit hard to manage. He’s very excitable, reactive, and loves to jump and lunge at things that catch his eye. Sydney has done a great job of managing (all 70lbs of) him and keeping him safe! He is SO excited when he sees her walking up to our door, which makes me trust her even more.”
“Darwin is incredibly reliable, and they work very well with our pup Sage. We have been able to rest easy during the work day (and check our pet camera less!), because we know Sage is in good hands with Darwin. They have even taken some time during our booking to reinforce training with Sage!”

“Daisy loves animals and is very kind. She does this work because she likes it not because she has to . She is easy to work with, responsible and trustworthy. You couldn’t ask for more.”

“Vida seemed very happy and at least slightly tired (not an easy feat for an 8 month old vizsla!) when I got home. It looked like she had a good time with Laura, and I was happy that I was kept in the loop! We'll definitely be repeat customers.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, both cats and dogs. Being around them has made me learn and adapt to their different cues and actions. Understanding your pet is my top priority. I currently work part time in the evenings. Weekdays work best for availability. I am open to mid-day or early mornings depending on where you are located. If you need weekend care, feel free to reach out as I may be able to accommodate. I always try to make sure that all the surroundings in the area are safe. Whether that being out for a walk, being in the kitchen. It is important that the animals safety comes first.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Louis Park
Hailey has been amazing with walking my reactive terrier mix. She is knowledgeable about dog temperments and body language, and keeps an eye out for my dog's reactivity triggers. She is super prompt, communicative and goes above and beyond to meet my dog's needs. Cannot reccomend her enough!

We’ve had such a great experience with Kait! She’s been walking and caring for our dog Lou and has been nothing but reliable, kind, and attentive. She goes above and beyond with updates and always makes sure Lou is comfortable and well cared for. It’s clear she genuinely loves what she does. We trust her completely

Melanie was great! It was a last minute request that I sent out to a few walkers and Melanie replied promptly and luckily was available that morning to walk my baby Leo. I say baby because he is six months BUT really 86lbs and curious! Melanie did great with him! She went on a long walk and even took photos! Melanie is a sweetheart, my Leo loved her immediately.

We really appreciate Kiah! She was able to come by on a last-minute request to give our sweetheart Leia lunch and take her for a walk, which meant so much to us. She did a great job and kept us updated — Leia looked so happy in the photos and clearly enjoyed all the belly rubs. We’re so grateful for her flexibility and care. Would absolutely recommend Kiah!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
