I used to own two Cavaliers, and have taken care of various dogs on behalf of friends/family, including dog sitting for my sister's high anxiety rescue dog, and now have taken care of numerous dogs in the year I’ve been on Rover. I find that a calm, patient demeanor can win over even the most stranger-wary dog.

I think of pets as family, and will treat your pet like my family. (Don't worry, that's a good thing!) As a horseback rider, I find the skills of working with our animal friends transfer easily. Regardless of species, they enjoy human attention/affection, engagement and are often much smarter than we give them credit for.

Awesome sitter for my King Charles - Finn!
Chuck did a fantastic job taking care of our dog! He was very loving and attentive with her. She is an older dog who requires medication throughout the day. Our dog had either a stroke or a sudden neurological condition called Vestibular disease late at night. He reached out to us immediately and took her to the ER. He got all the pertinent information to the animal hospital including her medications. We are very grateful that he was so quick to respond to such a threatening situation. Our dog is recovering which is all we can ask for. Thank you Chuck!
This was our second time having Chuck dogsit at our house and all seemed to go well again! Glad to have him taking care of Juniper when we need to travel.
Charles has been absolutely amazing with our leash & stranger reactive dog Ollie. He has been patient and accommodating with us and now Ollie is excited to see him when they go on walks!
Chuck did a great job caring for our senior pup even giving him meds. He did a great job of providing updates on a regular basis too!

Schedule
I am in the process of changing careers, so am taking classes, which meet mostly online. Aside from the few hours a week when I volunteer to work with special-needs children in therapeutic horseback riding, my schedule is very flexible, including nights/weekends. Mornings? Evenings? Last minute? No problem.
