We could fully relax knowing that Turkey was happy and enjoying herself while we were away. Izzy went far beyond any expectations we could have had. Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. Her calm, easygoing, yet detail-oriented character made our time away completely worthwhile. We will absolutely continue requesting Izzy’s care moving forward!”

About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I am a huge animal lover and have grown up/cared for dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with mostly Norwegian Elkhounds but had one Carin terrier find his way to my family. Currently I have 1 Norwegian Elkhound named Bear who is about 6 years old and my best friend. My boyfriend and I recently adopted 2 cats from the animal Humane Society named Jack and Lucas. I have been pet sitting since high school and have taken care of cats, dogs, rabbit, fish and hamsters. When I am not with animals I can be found hiking, reading, knitting or playing video games. I am currently making my way through the Nancy Drew series and hoping to finish a scarf by Christmas time. I try to stay active and like taking my dog on long walks especially in the summer. I am currently go to school full time. About: Dogs have been part of my life forever, from growing up with a variety of breeds and sizes in my family to now caring for my own rescue yellow lab. I love caring for dogs at all ages, whether it's puppies full of energy or senior dogs who need extra TLC. I handle walks, potty breaks, feeding, brushing, baths, giving medication (pill form) and both indoor and outdoor stimulation activities. I've completed obedience 1 training and enjoy practicing commands like name recognition, sit, stay, lay down, drop it, leave it, and leash walking. I can lift 60lbs if needed and make sure every dog feels loved, entertained, and truly at home while their humans are away. Friends and family always ask me to watch their dogs because they know I'll give them love, attention, and safe, happy care - and I'm excited to extend that same care to more dogs and their family in my community through Rover. *Please note that I will require for my dog to come with me for any stays - she is an 8 year old yellow lab that is very laid back and gets along with all dogs. I am more than happy to set up a meet and greet with her in advance* I work remotely full-time which provides an abundance of flexibility to attentively care for dogs during the day and evenings. My schedule includes Zoom call meetings and phone calls that are sporadic during each day - no two days are the same. With this flexibility, my pet care typically looks like letting the dog out for potty breaks every few hours, feeding twice per day, taking daily walk, observing and correcting behavior that occurs during the day (ex. barking, potty training, chewing) and of course the frequent pets, belly rubs, and playtime sprinkled in between meetings and work calls.
