“I was on a vacation for 2 weeks to overseas with my whole family (two 7 months old twin infants and my husband) and had to find a dependable sitter to care for my yorkie, Conan. We usually take Conan with us wherever we go, but it was not an option this time as our hands are full with our infant twins. Since Conan does not have much experience staying in other homes and other people, we were quite nervous if he is going to be fine during the two weeks. This was the longest time he was ever separated from us. He is also very shy with strangers and not very social. All these meant that we really needed to find a perfect sitter for Conan so he does not get stressed out during the two weeks. I searched Rover and found Terrie. Since Conan does not get along well with other dogs, we were looking a sitter not owning a pet. Another criteria that had to meet was a fenced yard. And the most important one, good reviews! All these limits directed me to Terrie. I can only say good things about Terrie. She was sending multiple pictures and video clips every day. Those pictures were showing how Conan was doing, not just a profile picture. I was so worried that he would be nervous and not get along with Terrie, but I was so wrong! He was playing with his toys just like he does at our home, he slept with Terrie in her bed, he got cuddled a lot, basically got all love he needed. He even got territorial and assumed every person come into Terrie's house is a intruder and got into a "guard dog" mode. He does that when only he feels home and comfortable. So I was very happy that he was having great time, get a daily walk, get attention, and lots of love. Conan stayed one night at Terrie's 1 wk prior to the long stay and I think it helped much him to get comfortable. Conan is not an easy dog to handle except for his tiny size. Despite his behavior problems, Terrie and her family were very patient with him and gave him lots of love. She is really a terrific dog sitter. I absolutely loved all pictures she sent. She is very reliable, dog loving, and nice person. If you are looking for a loving, kind, patient, dependable dog sitter for your four-legged furry baby, Terries is the one. For any future trips I will use her again!”

“Our dogs had the best time staying with Aastha and Daniel! We received multiple photos and updates daily and I was totally at ease knowing they were getting plenty of exercise and attention. My dogs have never been exposed to cats so I wasn't sure how boarding them in a home with cats would go. But their home was so well equipped to keep the cats separated. They have a big beautiful sun room in the back of their home that can be closed off as well as a lower level that can be closed off. They also have a large fenced in backyard where my pups thoroughly enjoyed playing fetch during Daniel and Aastha's work breaks. The best part was knowing that Daniel and Aastha mostly work from home. Our dogs are used to people being around so this was a huge bonus! Our younger dog can have some anxious tendencies that affect her eating and her GI and she had no issues during our 5 day trip. We will definitely book them again and cannot recommend them enough!”

We could fully relax knowing that Turkey was happy and enjoying herself while we were away. Izzy went far beyond any expectations we could have had. Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. Her calm, easygoing, yet detail-oriented character made our time away completely worthwhile. We will absolutely continue requesting Izzy’s care moving forward!”

About: I grew up with dogs, and miss them dearly in my life! Friends, neighbors and family have relied on me for years to take care of their pets: while away traveling, or in hardships. From closely monitoring my friend's cat after surgery when she couldn't call off work, to weeklong stays in family homes with rambunctious puppies, I've done it all. I've always had a passion for animals, including exotic pet care! I have personally kept a freshwater aquarium and understand that fish and reptile care is much more detailed and intensive than many may first assume. You can rest easy knowing your pets will be in good hands, and will be given the detailed care and attention they deserve. I'm currently in recovery from a chronic pain condition. About: Hi! I really love being around dogs as I have grown up with four dogs since I was a kid! They have been my best friends my entire life and I wouldn't have traded away a single moment with them. I am experienced in taking care of dogs and love to be around them and play! About: I have experience with small and medium sized dogs. I grew up with a family Peekapoo. I also volunteered at the Animal Humane Society where I was trained in using Gentle Leaders on larger dogs. My schedule is very flexible. I work part time and remotely so I have plenty of availability to give your pet the attention they deserve! I start my cat fosters in the bathroom until they are ready to explore the apartment. I will use a similar approach with any cats who stay in my home. When visiting pets in their home I usually start with feeding and then stay for pets and play when they finish their meal.

About: Hello! I am so excited to meet you. Thank you for taking interest in my page! I am a recent homeowner and would love to be able to share this space with your furry friends. I have extensive experience with kitties, and have owned my 2 pups for just about 2 years now! I also have 2 kitties who we have had since kittens, who are 9 and 6 years old. Our pets are regarded as part of our family, and I am excited to make yours feel at home as well! I gladly offer potty and play breaks in our large fenced in back yard and lots of enrichment activities, from lick pads to puzzle toys. Please reach out if you have any questions! I work from home on Fridays, but otherwise that means that I am out of the house from 8 am to 4:30 pm. I do require a supervised overnight visit before I can allow pets to stay over while I am at work, but are happy to host your pets while I am away for the day, and can work with you to figure out a plan that works with my WFH schedule if you'd like as well! I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly, active pups. My kitties are also super friendly and welcoming, though less interested in playing than the dogs. I have the ability to set up separate areas of our home as well, and regularly allow the dogs outside to play. They have 24/7 access to water and I am able to adjust to any feeding schedule or medication needs!
About: I've had dogs almost my entire life and have been taking care of the dogs of friends and family for the past 11 years. This ranges from absolute cuddle bug Yorkies to energetic labs. I work from 6-3:30 Sunday through Thursday, but making sure that the animals in my care have a regular schedule as best fits around that is key. First thing in the morning I'd be making sure the animals in my care have access to food and water and taken outside to do their business as applicable. Once I get home I recheck food and water needs and take care of their play and exercise needs. I have a fenced in yard and depending on the animal's needs, they can be crated or allowed to roam around the house. About: My husband and our family have been watching dogs on Rover since before it was even called Rover. We've lived overseas a few times so if you see gaps in our reviews, that is why. We are very active with our doggie guests and would love to host your dog. We typically go on walks once a day and on weekends typically try to be outside more (as the winter weather permits). We're open to requests to take your pup to dog parks, bike rides, or walks depending on your pup's preferences. Note: you will typically see delayed responses past 9PM but will get back to you as soon as I see your messages. Thanks! Both my husband and I work full time M-F but I work from home and would be able to take bathroom breaks or walks mid-day. If you needed someone to stop by and let your dog out, it would have to be within the Columbia Heights, Fridley, Shoreview area. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.

“I knew it would be a good fit right from our initial meeting. LOLA felt very comfortable with Amy and played with a couple of other small dogs whom she happened to be watching at the time. Being an only dog at our house, Lola loved the opportunity for socializing. When I picked her up, she greeted me, but then continued roaming in Amy's house and stretching out on the kitchen floor. I am so grateful for Amy and her daughter, Lola was very comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend Amy, she will treat your pet as her own. “I was on a vacation for 2 weeks to overseas with my whole family (two 7 months old twin infants and my husband) and had to find a dependable sitter to care for my yorkie, Conan. We usually take Conan with us wherever we go, but it was not an option this time as our hands are full with our infant twins. Since Conan does not have much experience staying in other homes and other people, we were quite nervous if he is going to be fine during the two weeks. This was the longest time he was ever separated from us. He is also very shy with strangers and not very social. All these meant that we really needed to find a perfect sitter for Conan so he does not get stressed out during the two weeks. I searched Rover and found Terrie. Since Conan does not get along well with other dogs, we were looking a sitter not owning a pet. Another criteria that had to meet was a fenced yard. And the most important one, good reviews! All these limits directed me to Terrie. I can only say good things about Terrie. She was sending multiple pictures and video clips every day. Those pictures were showing how Conan was doing, not just a profile picture. I was so worried that he would be nervous and not get along with Terrie, but I was so wrong! He was playing with his toys just like he does at our home, he slept with Terrie in her bed, he got cuddled a lot, basically got all love he needed. He even got territorial and assumed every person come into Terrie's house is a intruder and got into a "guard dog" mode. He does that when only he feels home and comfortable. So I was very happy that he was having great time, get a daily walk, get attention, and lots of love. Conan stayed one night at Terrie's 1 wk prior to the long stay and I think it helped much him to get comfortable. Conan is not an easy dog to handle except for his tiny size. Despite his behavior problems, Terrie and her family were very patient with him and gave him lots of love. She is really a terrific dog sitter. I absolutely loved all pictures she sent. She is very reliable, dog loving, and nice person. If you are looking for a loving, kind, patient, dependable dog sitter for your four-legged furry baby, Terries is the one. For any future trips I will use her again!”
“Our dogs had the BEST time with Eric and Martha. They went above and beyond, making sure the pups had plenty of long walks in the park and spending multiple hours outside with them each day. They even bought some chicken and rice to feed to one of our girls who has a nervous stomach and doesn’t eat well in new places. We will definitely be booking with them again the next time we go out of town!”

“Our dogs had the best time staying with Aastha and Daniel! We received multiple photos and updates daily and I was totally at ease knowing they were getting plenty of exercise and attention. My dogs have never been exposed to cats so I wasn't sure how boarding them in a home with cats would go. But their home was so well equipped to keep the cats separated. They have a big beautiful sun room in the back of their home that can be closed off as well as a lower level that can be closed off. They also have a large fenced in backyard where my pups thoroughly enjoyed playing fetch during Daniel and Aastha's work breaks. The best part was knowing that Daniel and Aastha mostly work from home. Our dogs are used to people being around so this was a huge bonus! Our younger dog can have some anxious tendencies that affect her eating and her GI and she had no issues during our 5 day trip. We will definitely book them again and cannot recommend them enough!”

“Maria is simply the best! She took care of our two big boys while we were out of the country for 2 weeks. She sent updates and photos, and reassured us along the way that they were happy and content. She is selective in who she watches, making sure to do a meet and greet and evaluate how each one interacts with others. We had no worries when she had other dogs staying there as well. Our guys were happy to see us when we picked them up, but they also looked content and were snuggly with Maria. You could tell that they had developed a good relationship with her. Maria will be the first one we ask if we need dog sitting in the future.”
