“Sarah is such a kind and warm sitter. She was so accommodating to our dogs unique needs and I could tell he loved being at her house. I will definitely use her again.”

“Susan and Craig took wonderful care of my pup and I highly recommend for anyone with oral pill administration, anxiety, or minor behavioral issues (herding). Their updates and care put my mind at ease. Thanks again, you two!”

“They were the most amazing family to have watch our two dogs. We reached out with very short notice and they took them in right away. They gave us updates every day and always sent pictures. Best family on Rover!”

“Erin and Ramon cared for our two little dogs and did an amazing job. They are fully set up in their home to care for little dogs and they are so knowledgeable because of their own dogs. Our older dog can sometimes be slow to eat and they took their time with him and made sure he got what he needed. Our younger dog is terrified of many things and they were kind and patient with all the fireworks over the holiday. We will definitely have Erin and Ramon watch our dogs again. They are great.”

“My herding dog came back from her stay happily tuckered out - a rare occurrence! Jacqui and Kyle took great care of my dog, who made sure to say goodbye to Kyle when we picked her up, which she usually never does. My pup was clearly very happy with them, and I will absolutely be booking again.”

“Jennifer took great care of our Leo, sent updates and responded to my text and messages quickly when I was checking in. We will be happy to use Jennifer again for future sitting needs.”

“Bre was amazing!! She made me so comfortable from the minute we got there and throughout our trip by sending pictures and updates. Our pup was exhausted all day after we picked him up from how much fun he had! We will definitely be booking them again 😊”

“We had our dog Bean stay with Kristie and Bryan when my wife and I were in the hospital welcoming our new baby! They were so flexible and even came to pick up bean since we were already in the hospital. We were so relieved that Bean had a safe and fun place to be. The updates and pictures were just what we needed to feel sure he was getting the best care and attention.”

“Makaila is an excellent dog-sitter. She is the sweetest for always updating me about Leo, great at communication, and super understanding on how to work with dogs. She even kept Leo when I missed my flight and was super accommodating. 10/10 recommend.”

“Julianne is wonderful, a great communicator and clearly loves dogs. Mézi is a very shy rescue dog and had an amazing time! She was loved and well taken care of. Jules is her new favorite person:-). I received updates, multiple pictures and occasional videos every day. Mézi will be back!”

“Nate and his family were so sweet and loving towards our babygirl. He regularly sent pictures and provided updates which made us feel at ease and happy knowing we chose the right home to babysit Raven. She had lots of playtime with other dogs they sitted and got to play with the kids which Raven loves. She seemed so happy in all the photos. We know she had a blast. We were so lucky to land such a perfect spot for her. 🙏🏽💙🐾”

“This was our puppy's first multiple day stay and all of us started it with some trepidation. However, all parts of the stay exceeded expectations and our dog had a great time. Rochelle kept us up to date and provided an excellent environment for him. It was an excellent experience for all of us.”

“Jordan did a great job sitting our dog. He was even able to accommodate a last minute change of plans, and take our dog for an extra day. He responded quickly to all questions during the boarding process, and gave good updates during the stay. I highly recommend Jordan!”

“Sarah was so great! Very flexible with the schedule and easy going so it made me feel so comfortable with leaving my two dogs there! When I picked them up, I could tell that they had a good time. Thank you Sarah for hosting them, you were great!”

“Sarah and Paul are very nice and professional. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them. I love their attentiveness to the needs of their pups and the routine they follow. Thank you, Sarah and Paul!”

“Lisa and Joe were wonderful care providers for Hazel's first experience staying with someone who was not family. We received photos and updates every day and could tell that our dog was happy and relaxed in their care. We will definitely book with them again.”

I am so glad we booked with Elsa- she was everything I was hoping for and more! She was so kind and thoughtful about how she took care of our dog and sent updates/pictures to keep my mind at ease. She even trained a few new behaviors for our dog! I will definitely be booking with Elsa again next time we need a sitter!
Wow, Julianne was incredible! She took such amazing care of our dogs while we were away at our wedding, and it honestly gave us so much peace of mind. She sent plenty of updates throughout the weekend, and it was so sweet seeing how happy and comfortable the dogs looked. They went on walks, got lots of backyard playtime, and even had the best little neighborhood experience. Her neighbors were so kind to them and even gave them pig ears, which our dogs absolutely loved. When we picked them up on Sunday, they were completely wiped in the best way possible, which says everything. They clearly had a blast and were so well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent the whole time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We’d absolutely book her again.

Susan was fantastic with my dog, Bodie! He had such a great time at her place and loved playing with her resident dog. Bodie is a pretty anxious guy and I was nervous about leaving him, but he took to Susan right away and clearly felt at ease around her. I’ll definitely use Susan again when I need someone to watch Bodie!

Jennifer, Eric and their kids did a wonderful job sitting for Hiro. You could tell they are truly pet people and cared for our dog while we were away. They sent daily pics and took him on walks. Hiro can be quirky at times, but they did an amazing job playing and spending time with him. We would love to use them again in the future!

I highly recommend Sara. She was wonderful with my anxious Pomeranian and sent lots of updates and photos while I was away. She was friendly, easy to work with, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. Knowing my dog was in such caring hands gave me great peace of mind.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
