“Rachel took such good loving care of Bronx! I was nervous and sad leaving him with a sitter as this was my first time using Rover but she sent me photos during my trip and gave me updates so it put me at ease. I can tell she treated him as if he was her own dog. I will definitely trust Rachel to babysit Bronx again in the future!”

“Bre was wonderful!! Chewy had a great vacation & with updates & photos we were able to relax & enjoy our cruise. Bre took our worries of leaving our little guy behind away. We will definitely use Bre again. Highly recommend. Scott, Linda & Chewy”

“They were the most amazing family to have watch our two dogs. We reached out with very short notice and they took them in right away. They gave us updates every day and always sent pictures. Best family on Rover!”

“Renley had a great time staying with Jacquie for a week! We were on vacation and couldn't bring him, so we are so glad that he had a fun place to stay. Jacquie communicates often and sent pics of Renley (and Teddy!) everyday. We will absolutely ask her to watch Renley again.”

“Sarah is our lifesaver. She takes care of and loves Ollie like her own and Ollie loves going to her house. She regularly sends update on how Ollie is doing.”

“Nathan is absolutely amazing! I had a death in my family and my sitter bailed hours before I was suppose to leave for South Dakota. Requested him I think at 7am. He responded instantly and I was able to drop off my old girl by 10am. Truly a life saver!! My old girl has higher needs and he didn’t even blind an eye! He took notes on her behavior and went above and beyond. I can’t say enough good things about this experience and it was my first experience with rover!!”

“Jennifer and Eric did a great job taking care of our dog! They are so kind and communicative. I loved receiving photos of Bunny during her stay! It brightened my day while being away from home!”

“Catherine and her husband took excellent care of our dog. Very communicative with pics, video and messages. Made us feel very relaxed with the care of one of our family.”

“Great overall experience with Kristie & Bryan. Quick responses to any questions and I love all of the pictures of my dog while I was away. Definitely would recommend and hope to use again in the future.”
“Briana provided a stellar experience. She gave great care to our fur baby and communicated frequent updates while we were away. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“This was the first time we left our golden, Izzy, with someone other than friends/family and Dave and his family did a great job. After the initial meet and greet, Izzy was excited to return to Dave's and seemed to settle right in when she got there. They did a great job of thoroughly reviewing her regular routine with us and kept things as normal as possible for her. We got multiple updates each day with pictures that helped us know our Iz was being well taken care of. We would definitely have Izzy go back to Dave's if we need boarding in the future!”

“Wesley was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Frankie. From the moment I dropped him off, it was evident that Frankie was treated like family and genuinely well cared for. Wesley and his parents have a beautiful home with a secure, fenced-in yard, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. We were able to travel out of the country with complete peace of mind knowing my dog was safe, happy, and truly prioritized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Wesley to anyone looking for exceptional care. I received photos and updates. We look forward to planning our next adventure and rebooking with Wesley!”

“Jordan has been watching our English bulldog Marge here and there throughout the year. Most recently he watched her while we were out of the country for two weeks. He always takes great care of her, sends us regular updates, and is flexible when travel plans change. Marge loves staying with Jordan, and we love having a great sitter for her!”

Martha and Eric were wonderful sitters for our dog Ollie. They were communicative and flexible with our schedule. We loved the pics and videos Martha sent us while we were away and appreciated the effort made to ensure Ollie got early outside time in their big backyard and nice walks during a MN week where it was sweltering. We could tell Martha and Eric are genuine dog lovers and can handle energetic dogs like ours! We look forward to the next time Ollie gets to stay over.

Jules was an amazing baby sitter for our puppy Taro. He is a high energy guy with a lot of hang ups. Jules kept him happy and snuggled him. We were in Japan, 14 hours ahead and Jules was still easy to connect with the whole trip. She left ample pictures for us to see and assured us he was a happy guy. He even helped her garden! Taro is a very heat sensative dog who struggles to be outside in bad heat. It was 90+ some of the days he was with her and she made sure he was a happy safe boy. I can not express how well cared for Taro was while we were gone. It made it easier to be thousands of miles away from him.

Brittni and Michael were great with Olive. They were warm and welcoming when I arrived and made sure that Olive was settled in. They promised me timely updates and allowed me to enjoy my trip without worrying about my dog. Having them work at home was awesome because that is what Olive is used to. Would book again! Thank you.

Dave and family were super awesome hosts to my old man for the weekend! He has trouble moving around with his arthritis, but they made sure to walk him with his little harness and get them outside in the grass where he could lounge around! His little girls also tucked him in - so sweet!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for hands-on attention for their loved ones while they are away! Will definitely be reaching out when Puckett needs another weekend away from dad - 20 out of 10!!

Kaitlin was once again amazing with caring for our pup! This was his first multi-day boarding with Kaitlin & he looked so happy & at home in every vid & pic she sent us. It's great knowing that our dog is in good hands with Kaitlin, she's definitely my (& my dog's!) first choice for a petsitter.

An amazing second stay with Elsa and Nick! Enzo was living his best life (again) and truly didn’t want to leave when my husband picked him up. Thank you, team! Also - a quick note that Enzo’s behavior with strangers actually improved after his first stay with Elsa and Nick in April. He was much less anxious with new people at our house; an amazing byproduct of their wonderful care!

Andrew came highly recommended and his services did not disappoint. My dogs were very well taken care of, his communication and updates are excellent, and my dogs were right at home. It is so reassuring to get pictures and videos every day. 100/10 experience with Andrew!

I can’t recommend her enough! She took amazing care of my dog, Toby, while I was away. She kept me updated, made sure he was happy and comfortable, and treated him like he was her own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and trustworthy hands. Toby was happy, well cared for, and clearly loved during his stay. Thank you for going above and beyond. I will definitely use her services in the future again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
