“Bruce took great care of Monte while my husband I were on vacation. We had never left Monte with a dog sitter for that length of time (9 nights) and it was hard on me; but Bruce sent us photos and it eased my mind to know he was in loving hands. And Monte had a great time playing with his two dogs! We would definitely call on Bruce again the next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Jennifer not only took my dog into her loving home and treated him as one of her own she took out the stress of leaving him by providing daily updates. I would 100% recommend her to anyone needing someone to watch their pet and I'll definitely be using her services again next time. Thank you Jennifer!”

“Judy is a sweet lady who seems genuinely interested in caring for, spoiling, and spending time with my dog. I’m not so sure how much she walked him, I suspect not too much, but otherwise she’s really kind and seems to care quite a bit for my pet, which means a lot to me. I highly recommend Judy for pet sitting!”

“My dogs have stayed at Kait's so many times, she is their "Auntie Kait"! They're always very happy staying with her. It's great to know they're safe while I'm out of town, and Kait takes excellent care of them. She is extremely committed to animal care and safety, and Kait is always very flexible about pickup/dropoff times too.”

“Deneen and her husband were both so kind and took incredible care of my two dogs (one of them a senior). She was always very quick to respond to any questions I had and sent daily pictures while I was away. I’ll definitely book with her again!”

About: Lifelong love for animals and years of personal experience caring for dogs, cats and birds. Little professional experience but wishing to expand. I have had an innate care for animals since I was a child, it comes naturally to me. I have experience with a variety of animal needs and maintenance. Working as a full-time remote attorney means I am naturally home throughout the day, allowing me to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I structure regular breaks around frequent outdoor walks, scheduled feedings, play sessions, and attentive companionship, ensuring pets receive consistent attention, exercise, and affection without long periods spent alone. I prioritize safety by maintaining a pet-proofed, secure environment and strictly following every owner’s exact instructions regarding feeding, medications, and temperament. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I practice vigilant outdoor leash control, double-check all secure entryways, and send regular photo updates to build complete trust and peace of mind.

“Howie was great with Hazel and was incredibly gentle with her from meet and greet to the final day. He was really good with updates and was diligent about responding to my questions. I would leave Hazel with him again!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of BB while we were away. Always appreciate how you deal with her eating/dietary issues and keep us informed along the way. You are the best!”

“Our dog had such a great time with Robert, his wife and their sweet dog Maizy. Robert was very communicative and sent at least a few photos every day. They took our dog on lots of walks in the parks nearby and really welcomed her into their home. We will definitely use them again soon!”

“Angela was amazing! I have had lots of sitters with rover and with family and Angela is by far my favorite. I didn’t worry about my dog once durning a week long vacation. She kept me updated, sent me pictures and my dog loved her (maybe too much haha not sure if my dog wanted to go back to me 😊) I really appreciate Angela and all she did for Rosie. Definitely a great sitter, I wasn’t sure I wanted to write my review like this because of wanting to keep Angela as my little secret but my dog is old and not sure if I’ll need to use Rover anytime soon so I thought I’d share her 😉”

“Sarah and Paul are very nice and professional. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with them. I love their attentiveness to the needs of their pups and the routine they follow. Thank you, Sarah and Paul!”

“Amazing family! They take such great care of Geno! They are always sending pictures & updates while Geno is with them! Highly recommend this wonderful family to care for your dog.”

“Sarah was very considerate of my pup's shyness, and I felt comfortable from the first time I met her. She was an amazing hostess, texted me lots of pictures and was very responsive and accommodating. I have already booked another stay!”

“Susan and Craig were outstanding caretakers! They took Navi for mutiple walks, played, cuddles…all the things she loves! They also sent pics and videos which helped us feel better. We would book with them again in a heartbeat!”

“Lely and Mark do such a great job caring for our golden. She gets lots of attention and they are so diligent with her special needs. They love her so much it makes it easier to be away! Highly recommend!”

“Sabrina did a great job at making our dog feel comfortable during her stay! She made sure our dog kept to her schedule and got plenty of walks. Sabrina kept us up to date and helped any nerves we had of leaving our dog for the first time!”

“Manami was able to take care of Yoshi for a work day under short notice while my apartment had an inspection. It went very well and it helped us out in a tight spot! Yoshi seems to like her as well! And he takes a bit to warm up to people.”

“Maeby ended up not staying because she didn't get along well with the other dogs boarding that weekend. Doc was very nice and honest about the whole thing, and I appreciate him protecting all the dog's safety.”

“Elsa and Nick are so kind and caring. I felt very confident that Jasper was being well-cared for and doted on while he was with them. I had a flight hiccup and Elsa spent a lot of time communicating with me to figure out a good solution. She's so patient and kind. I highly recommend!”

Taylor took great care of Chuy while we were gone for a long weekend! I purposely looked for someone with another dog as he is very shy with people but being around other dogs makes him more comfortable. She was very responsive and sent lots of photos of his stay! We will definitely use her again! Thanks Taylor!

We are so grateful for the care our girls received while at Bryan and Sean’s. We are fairly new to Minnesota and have been looking for a safe space for our dogs to land while we travel. This filled that need. They asked great questions initially and sent us pictures throughout their stay. At the end we got the sweetest card thanking us to our trust and we got the cutest printed pictures. Would definitely recommend and use again. Thank you!

This is Nellie’s 3rd time staying with Terri and we so appreciate having such a great sitter. She gives Nellie lots of attention and love. Nellie loves looking out the windows and having access outside to watch the squirrels. We will be traveling in Italy this fall and it puts us at ease knowing she is well cared for and likes visiting. Highly recommend Terri.

Kaija was great. We got regular updates and pictures of our dogs whenever we missed them while we were on vacation. Hilda and Petra were very welcoming to share their home and their humans as well. Glad to have booked with them for our yearly vacation two years in a row now.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
