“Nate and Chelsea were wonderful with Poppi! We don’t leave Poppi at home much and they were so kind to send updates and keep us informed during our trip. She was happy and healthy upon our return. We loved our vacation and so did Poppi :)”

“Ringo had a wonderful stay with Cassandra and Steve. They are great dog people and Ringo loved running for several days in their backyard. They are definitely at the top of our list for repeat bookings”

“Hee Seong took very good care of our dog Mason. We could tell by Hee Seong's daily, pictures and summaries that he was comfortable and cared for every moment of his stay. He was happily spoiled during his stay. I would definitely leave Mason with Hee Seong, again when we travel.”

“John and Gretchen gave Jordy great care! We were regularly updated with pictures of how her day was going. Jordy came home healthy and tired, always a good sign. We will definitely use John and Gretchen again.”

“I couldn’t have found a better person to take care of my Cavapoo while I was away. Angela took such good care of him for 5 days and kept me updated with details of his daily activities. I loved the photographs and descriptions she sent which put my mind at ease. I did worry that he wouldn’t want to leave. 😊”

“Leza was available for a meet and greet before the stay, and took good care of our boy, Henry. She sent regular updates with pictures and helped us feel comfortable about leaving him. I'll use her again in the future.”

“Daniela watched my 4 month old puppy and I couldn’t be happier! She was extremely responsive when we reached out to her and continued communication with us the whole time! “Kira was so great with our Wheaten Murphy! This was our first time boarding him so we were nervous and she did everything to make Murphy feel at home and welcome while also making us feel comfortable leaving him. We received multiple pictures and updates daily and I think Murphy found some great playmates in her two dogs!! We will definitely use Kira for boarding in the future.”

Liz was great! She watched my 8 month old bernedoodle puppy for 11 days & Alpine had a great time with her & her dog Kobe. Loved the photo updates & I could tell Alpine was happy & well cared for when she came home. Will totally be using Liz in the future for any dog sitting needs, she’s great!! :)

Our dog Winnie had a great time with Manami! He is 15 years old with arthiritis but she did a great job taking care of him. She was able to take him outside through the back since he has a hard time with stairs. It seems like Winnie felt very comfortable there. Her updates were also excellent. Will definitely book again and highly recommend!
Brian was absolutely wonderful. Excellent communication, took so many pics and videos and always, always responsive. I had a lot of anxiety leaving my kitty because he has previously been sick, but he did so well and Brian eased all my worries and allowed me to enjoy our trip! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Leah. If you found this sitter, look no further. Your pup will be in good hands and receive plenty of attention from her boys. My dog, Onyx, was well taken care of, I receive a good amount of pictures, and I will always check with Leah first for taking care of Onyx.

Maria, Matthew and their family were wonderful hosts to Sebastian. I received several photos of him snuggling with the kids, playing tug and going on walks. I was out of country and felt that my pup was safe, happy and loved the whole week. Can’t recommend them enough!

We're so grateful that Ava was available to dogsit at very short notice after another dogsitter canceled on us. She was absolutely wonderful with Bailey, sent us pictures and updates, and even returned a leash to our house that we had forgotten when we picked Bailey up. We would definitely have Ava dogsit again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
