From the amazing updates and photos we received we could tell that our cats were happy and comfortable and so well taken care of. We would highly recommend Emily!”

About: I've had a love for animals my entire life. I grew up in the country, and with that I have had many experiences with all kinds of animals, big and small. At one point in high school, I worked on a farm milking cows and tending calves. I've watched many of my friends' animals, dogs and cats mainly, and I have my own cat at home. I've worked in many different care giving jobs, from nannying to being a care attendant for older adults. I've also volunteered many times at the animal shelter and worked at my friend's dog bar. If you're looking for a space where your animal will be loved as they are at home, this is the one for you! I'm currently a student and part-time worker. I graduate this May, where I will be transitioning into the corporate world. I spend most of my days at home (often times leaving the house once or twice a week), as I do school and work most days at home. I'm someone who believes in taking care of an animal as you would a human. This means having a clean environment, enriching activities, playing with them often, and giving them the same quality of food I'd want. I am attentive, aware, and caring when it comes to animals, and I believe in meeting their needs at the highest level possible. My own animal being a great example.
“Sophia did a fantastic job with my cat, Jigs. She arrived, sent updates with photos, and kept me informed about how he was doing. I've been searching for a trustworthy person to take care of my pet when I travel, and I found an ideal sitter. I highly recommend her for your four-legged friends.”

“We truly valued Neha's meticulous attention to detail and her evident affection for our dog, Summer. I highly recommend Neha and anticipate utilizing her services again for Summer's care during our future travels.”

About: I have been caring for animals my entire life, growing up with two dogs and learning the responsibility and love that comes with pet care from a young age. My experience includes caring for dogs of different ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I have also helped rescue and rehome dogs, giving me experience with animals from different backgrounds and personalities. I have worked with basic training, positive reinforcement, and understanding dog behavior. I am comfortable reading body language and recognizing when a pet may feel nervous, excited, overwhelmed, or in need of extra care. Above all, I truly love animals and enjoy creating a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. I am self-employed and work from home part time, so my schedule is very flexible and it allows me to adjust my availability as needed. I think each animal has a different personality, so it depends on the pet behavior. I like to observe and analyze behaviors, to figure out what approach works best. I am a very empathetic person in general, I am good at respecting animals boundaries when needed. I am enthusiastic and love to be around animals in general.

About: I have over a decade of professional experience with pet-sitting, as well as a lifetime of personal experience. This includes with Chihuahuas, Frenchies, Spaniels, Chow Chows, Great Danes, Boxers, bully breeds, and more. Care can include low-stimulus times or tiring animals out. I do maintain full-time employment that I would need to work around, but am WFH more often than not, so often can do drop-ins throughout the day. I would just need to schedule ahead of time as the in-office requirements for my full-time job are not consistent or regular. I would love to care for your animals in their home environment and prioritize their comfort, health, and safety over everything. I can make myself available for meeting(s) ahead of time so animals can feel familiar with me prior to any care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Plymouth
Briana is truly one of a kind! It’s hard to find someone you can trust completely with your pets, but from the moment we met her, we knew our puppy was in wonderful hands. She is so kind, dependable, and genuinely caring. She treats our pup like he is her own. Knowing he is happy, loved, and well cared for while we’re away gives us such peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful for Briana and feel so lucky to have found her. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Gabby was wonderful. Our cat was winding around her feet to greet her even at the meet and greet. The check-ins and pictures gave us peace of mind while we were traveling. We came home to a cat who was happy to see us, instead of getting the cold shoulder for two days.

Tori was awesome! She instinctively knew how to make my cat comfortable with her, and he was happy to play and snuggle when she visited. Tori provided pictures and messages with each visit, and she always left the house secure when she finished her visit. I will definitely reach out to her again in the future!

Debdatta was fantastic during her drop-in visits with our dog, Summer. She took great care of her, making sure she was fed, walked, and given plenty of attention. It was clear from her updates and communication that she genuinely cared about Summer’s well-being. We felt completely at ease knowing Summer was in such good hands. I highly recommend Debdatta to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate caregiver, and we will definitely be using her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
