“Patricia did a great job w our two slightly neurotic (but aren't they all?) cats while we were away. They can be a little shy, so our priority was human contact and Patricia was very patient and engaged to get them to come out of hiding on each visit, particularly important because one cat requires a special diet/solo feeding. Always great to get "proof of life" photos, even if it's hard to catch a kitty in motion!”

“Very reliable. Extremely pleasant do work with. I am calling her, “The Cat Whisperer!” Our cat, Marty, is very shy and never comes out for strangers. He doesn’t trust easily. But he sure trusted Heidi. She was patient, intuitive and clever! He not only came out for her, he followed her wherever she went. It was such a treat to get gorgeous pictures and fun videos of Marty while we were gone for the first time ever. He will miss Heidi.”

“Sophia took excellent care of our fur babies while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands when we couldn’t be there. Highly recommend!”

About: I'm a dog lover who relishes time bonding with pets. I have two of my own who some (my husband!) think I over indulge with attention. I'm responsible and reliable. I'm self employed and work from home so have complete flexibility in dates and times available. I prefer to avoid late nights, but can be flexible if needed. I'm available to do any of the basic in-home care, including feeding, walking, playing. I'm happy to crate if needed, or any other requirements including administering medicine.
“Hayley went above and beyond for our very new puppy when I had a mandatory work obligation. Hayley was excellent in her communication, met our puppy before she watched her, and even sent me tons of pictures and videos of her!!”

I am more than happy to meet both you and your dog beforehand :) not only have I dog sat countless times but I have volunteering experience at the animal human society for quite a few years doing their dog/puppies adoption. Dogs have a special place in my heart and deserve all the love and happiness in the world. I go above and beyond by building a relationship with each dog and treat each dog as I treat my own dog at home. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I’m currently working part time so I will have plenty of time to give your dog(s) all the love, attention and exercise they need! About: I've had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. (Dogs, cats, parakeets, etc) For the past several years I've been caring for dogs in my spare time and remembered how much I love it. Because of some family responsibilities I cannot own another pet at the moment, but taking care of them is the next best thing. I'm currently taking a mid-life career break after living in Europe for several years. I'm very lucky that I have a flexible schedule to care for dogs. I have an unfenced yard in a private and quiet neighborhood in Wayzata. I've also done in-home pet sitting in the area and am perfectly comfortable doing that as well.
“Leah is absolutely wonderful with our dog Dylan! From the start, she was reliable, communicative, and clearly has such a natural way with animals. Dylan felt comfortable with her right away, and we loved the updates and photos Leah shared while we were gone it gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and cared for. Leah is responsible, trustworthy, and treats pets like her own. We couldn’t recommend her more highly and are so thankful to have found her!”

“Jennifer is such a caring pet sitter. She gave extra attention (in time & treats) to our cat when she started getting lonely. From the photos & videos I could tell our girl loved having her Jennifer visits.”

“Maia took wonderful care of our cat, Princess Leia, while we were out of town for four days. She was an excellent communicator, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind that everything was going smoothly. When we returned home, both our house and our cat were clearly well cared for. Princess Leia was happy to see us, but she also seemed calm, relaxed, and content, which is always the best sign that she's been in good hands. Maia's drop-in visits gave us confidence that our cat was getting the attention and care she needed while we were away. We would absolutely trust Maia with our home and pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter.”

About: I have cared for animals since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have asked me to petsit, walk, bath and help care for their animals. I can care for puppies/kittens to seniors and everyone in-between. I rely on positive reinforcement for training. I can administer medications, trim nails and other care required. I have worked as a Vet Tech and currently I am in school to become a certified Vet Tech. I am currently in school with mostly online classes so I can seamlessly accommodate your pets care. I will send daily updates and/or photos if requested. I care for your pets from the comfort of your home giving you piece of mind while traveling while your pet will be less stressed.
“Carrie was great. She changed out the battery on the garage door opener when it didn't work on her second visit. And she was clearly worried when she couldn't find our super old cat during a couple of her visits. He was fin. We'll be booking her next time we travel.”

About: I began dog sitting and in a few years I got my own beautiful doberman, Brooklyn. I raised Brooklyn since she was a puppy and did all of her training and care myself. Im am home all day and will be able to spend lots of time with your loved one. There is a great walking path near my home that I can take your dog on. I don't currently have any pets. Your Dog will get all my attention. There will be opportunity to go outside every few hours. Dogs are allowed in the bed at night, too.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wayzata
Teresa was an excellent pet sitter for our two dogs. She is warm and responsive. She communicated regularly with photos and texts, followed all directions and anticipated the dogs needs during storms and fireworks. So glad we had her stay and do stop in visits instead of using the kennel. Our house was left as we left it and she watered my plants.

Sophia was kind, flexible, and loving with our elderly Chocolate Labrador. Really appreciated the TLC! And the fun pictures. Also appreciated the great communication, and prompt replies. It made our vacation much more relaxing knowing Margy was in good hands. Thank you! 🤎💕🤎

Tori was awesome! She instinctively knew how to make my cat comfortable with her, and he was happy to play and snuggle when she visited. Tori provided pictures and messages with each visit, and she always left the house secure when she finished her visit. I will definitely reach out to her again in the future!

- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
