Grandma Mimi to the Rescue!
I'm a grandma with a deep love for all babies-- including the furry kind! I have over 50 yrs of animal experience, with both cats and dogs, and love my grandpups just as much as my grandchildren. I've been an avid cat owner my entire life, which some may even say a true "cat lady"! But I have always found the companionship of any animal to be a treasured gift- dogs, cats, hamsters, you name it! I'm a true animal person at heart. Just over a year ago, my beloved cat passed away and I've been slow to adopt a new family member since. One of the reasons is because it gives me the flexibility to travel and visit my children, but also a new joy that has come about-- helping care for the pets of friends and family! I may not have my own cat anymore, but that doesn't mean my house has been totally quiet; I've been getting my pet-fill through other people and it's been fantastic! So I've been pet sitting now the past year through my social network and my daughters encouraged me to put myself on Rover for others to find me, too. I know it can be difficult to find someone that you feel like you can trust your fur babies with, so please reach out if you have any questions-- I'm happy to answer them! I'm Grandma Mimi but am lovingly also referred to as Grandma Biscuit. :)

Katy is a wonderful sitter. She stayed at our home for 11 days and took excellent care of our dog and cat. We appreciated her frequent communication with us to let us know how our pets were doing . My sweet shy dog and elderly cat became very comfortable with Katy. Having her here made a huge difference in our ability to be gone without worry and enjoy our vacation. There were absolutely no problems or concerns. I would definitely recommend Katy and hope to have her here again.

Schedule
I'm retired so I have flexibility with my schedule. I do have an active social calendar, but most of my activities are close to home and for periods that aren't too long. If your pet has special needs, I can definitely work around them to make sure they receive the necessary care.

I've welcomed a number of kitties and small dogs into my home while friends have been traveling or unable to care for their animals. I've also cat and dog-sat, going into people's homes and feeding/playing/walking/bringing in the mail, etc. while the owners are away. I'm the type of person that loves to help-- so it's been a double win because I get my animal fix as well! I'm a communicator, so I'm happy to send updates and pics during the visit so you know your pet is in good hands.
A typical day
I love to walk on my own anyway-- so it's a treat to have a walking companion! I live near a neighborhood park as well as a quick drive to Parkers Lake. Pet's with me get lots of 1-on-1 attention.
