“Elizabeth is great! She’s so friendly and was excellent with our 5 month old puppy. She’s prompt, respectful, and very dedicated to what she does. Highly recommend her for your next Rover.”

About: I began dog sitting and in a few years I got my own beautiful doberman, Brooklyn. I raised Brooklyn since she was a puppy and did all of her training and care myself. Im am home all day and will be able to spend lots of time with your loved one. There is a great walking path near my home that I can take your dog on. I don't currently have any pets. Your Dog will get all my attention. There will be opportunity to go outside every few hours. Dogs are allowed in the bed at night, too.
About: I am a patient and attentive sitter, and will do my absolute best to meet all of your pets' needs while they are in my care. I will treat your furry friends as well as I would treat my own. I love to go on walks and play, and of course I love to snuggle as well! I am currently working part time, and will have plenty of time to feed, walk, and care for your pets! I hope to make them feel as at home as they usually do. I will have fluctuating flexibility, as I am also a part time Certified Nursing Assistant. I will keep my undivided attention on your pets if/when I take the outside. I will make sure to keep a harness/leash on at all times while outside, unless in a fenced in area like the backyard or a dog park. I will keep them reined in close to me while on walks to avoid ay possible altercations with other dogs. I will keep unsafe foods (grapes, chocolate, garlic, etc.) away from the pets.
About: Ive loved dogs as long as so can remember. I grew up with a Spring Spaniel and I now own a golden retriever! In addition, I have dog sat for about a year now! I am comfortable with all types of animals As I mentioned, I have a dog myself. I am very routined with my dog. I take her on 1-2 big walks a day and bring her down for 5 potty breaks a day. Once right when she wakes, after breakfast, mid-day, after dinner, and before bed. Overall, I am very structured with my dog and other dogs. I live in an apartment, but I spend as much time with my dog and other dogs as I can. I stick to the structure I mentioned above and love to snuggle and play with them inside. If I do have to leave, I make sure the dog(s) have went outside if they need to go number 1 or 2.

“Kate did a fantastic job watching our cats while we were away! She was super attentive when she came to meet them, left detailed notes after each visit, was very punctual with her visit times and the cats looked very happy in the pictures she sent us. We came back to very happy cats :)”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have had multiple dogs to take care of over the last 10 years. Along with the daily tasks of my own animals, I would sometimes watch those of friends and neighbors as well. I have also recently assisted in boarding and walking services through Rover and in my free time like to volunteer walking dogs at local shelters. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and ages. As a current college student away from my animals, I would love to help someone else out where needed to care for their companion! I currently have a flexible schedule that would allow me the perfect opportunity to care for pets! Any and all instructions given will be taken seriously and followed intently. Safety and health is of the utmost importance when it comes to caring for animals and I understand it is my role to do such.
About: I have 20 years of experience and believe in loving your furry family member the way I would want someone to care for my own child. I understand that pets aren't just animals—they're beloved family members, and being trusted with their care is being trusted with their life. My 8 year old daughter & I are a team this summer and we can't wait to give double the love and attention to your furry family member. I pride myself on providing dependable, attentive care while keeping pet parents informed if they wish by giving regular updates, photos, and messages so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. Whether your pet loves long walks, dog parks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or sticking to their usual routine, they will receive care personalized to their individual needs and personality. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including energetic puppies who require patience, consistency, close supervision, and attention to detail. I stay highly engaged to ensure young pets are safe, learning good habits, getting plenty of enrichment, and receiving the structure they need to thrive. I am equally comfortable caring for senior pets who may require a gentler pace, medication administration, accommodations, or extra attention. My goal is always to create a safe, loving, and stress-free experience where your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for. Boarding & House Sitting availability depends on the week but typically includes Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday's, Most Thursday's, Most Friday's, and Some Saturday's. We are unavailable Sunday's after 9:00 AM in order to make it to church on time but have some weeks with Sunday evening availability. My daughter & I have plenty of availability for dog walks and drop-in's and rarely have a day with no availability. We are an active household and go on anywhere from 1-5 walks in a day (as long as the sun is shining, water and snacks are in the backpack, and were not dripping with sweat). Day Care availability includes Monday's (All Day), Tuesday's (All Day), Wednesday's (Morning Only). Thursday's (Night Only), Every Other Saturday (All Day). Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, my goal is always the same: to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for. Our apartment community in the Hopkins/Minnetonka area is very pet-friendly, with a dog park located just steps from our front door and beautiful walking paths that wind throughout the neighborhood and around the Carlson Towers area. These paths provide plenty of opportunities for exercise, sniffing adventures, fresh air, and mental enrichment. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect and follow the routines, preferences, and instructions that help pets feel most comfortable. No matter how high-maintenance your furry family member might be (I get it), I'm happy to do I understand that consistency is important for everyone, pets included, especially when their favorite safety humans are away. I'll provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving plenty of love and attention.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been a dedicated dog owner for over 8 years. For the past 3 years, I’ve also fostered pups, giving me experience with a wide range of temperaments and styles. I’m comfortable with everything from high energy personalities to shy or anxious dogs. I’m comfortable with senior dogs (my last pup was 18!), puppies and everything in between. At this time, I’m focusing on small and medium sized dogs so they will be the best match for my own dog and I can provide the best care possible. I work full time from home and am available to board in my house anytime for most lengths of time. Lots of time to play with your pup! Right now, I’m open to hosting small and medium pups—as they are the best matches for my own dog. My dog, Elliot, loves to go for walks (weather permitting) and we’d love for your pup to tag along! If the weather is bad, my yard is perfect for zoomies, ball/toy chasing, neighbor watching and basking in the sun. I have my own small pup who is energetic and loves to play, but isn’t pushy. I work from home so we are together all the time! We walk often—in the morning, at lunch and in evenings. I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks with lots of toys and enrichment. I am home most of the time, but would contain (kennel or pen if needed) when I leave and I’m also open to pups that aren’t kenneled but safe to leave out (I’d put away my own dog).

I really enjoy spending time playing with pets and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. I also keep things tidy and send updates so owners know their pet is doing well.
About: With over 4 years of dog sitting experience for multiple families, and nearly 2 years in pet hospitality, I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and varying health conditions! I have experience in safely administering medications to numerous dogs including oral medications as well as eye and ear treatments. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate a variety of needs! I am available throughout the week, including weekends, and can provide consistent supervision, exercise, feeding, and administer medication if required. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. I believe pets are happiest in their familiar environment, so I work hard to maintain their normal schedule while you're away. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding, exercise, medication administration (such as oral medications, eye drops, and ear drops), and any special needs. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, providing attentive care, and plenty of affection to ensure both you and your pet feel comfortable and confident while you're apart.
About: I have been dog and cat sitting for over 10yrs. I usually stay at the owners house. Experienced with dogs with medical issues, and high anxiety. I have given medications and have done some training. I have done just overnight stays, but have also done 3month long stays. I am also a Hairstylist and Skin care specialist. I rent a chair at a salon and make my own schedule, so my hours are flexable. I enjoy spending time with pets, but just don't live in a place were I can have one. I am not married and have no children, so I am completely available and focused on your pet. I usually like to meet you and your pet/pets about 1week before the scheduled appointment, so I can get to know you, your pet and your pets routine, feeding times, walking, medications if needed, etc. This also helps the dog recognize me when I show up, when you aren't there.
“Kailey did so great with a drop-in visit with our two Great Pyrenees dogs. We loved the pictures and updates during the check-in. You can definitely tell that she’s a dog-lover, and we will be reaching out to her again when we need a drop-in visit again!”
“Samantha has been taking care of this little fur family in various forms for a couple years now. I always feel confident that she is making sure they are getting what is needed and all the snuggles. Thank you!”

About: A welcoming and gentle environment for your dog. 15-30 minute meet and greet needed to assess chemistry between your dog and my dog, Roxy. I try to be a good pack leader (like Cesar Milan), but I'm more of an indulgent uncle. This means I'm a perfect fit for nervous dogs but less of a fit for dogs who require regular reminders of who the boss is. I'm semi-retired from tech support, so I have plenty of time to focus on your dog. House is dog-safe too; treats are out of reach and garbages bins don't have treasures for even a hound to find. Fenced backyard with no obstacles. Dogs are allowed on couch and bed. Toys available to all dogs in family room. Feeding is done with consideration of the natural resource aggression present in all dogs.
“Kolleen was so helpful to do drop-ins for a few days while we were away and our primary dog watcher was at work during the day. As a beagle owner she understood our crazy beagles very well and I could tell they were excited to see her each day from the photos she sent! She made sure to capture their cutest angles too! I would absolutely trust her again with our dogs for boarding or a drop in visit!”

About: I have had dogs all my life and have had my own for 5 years now. I love spending time and walking my girl and would love to do the same for yours! I am available all day on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I am occasionally available in the mornings on Tuesday-Thursday with the right amount of notice. I can provide walking around your neighborhood/playing in your back yard or inside with the dog and their toys. I am unable to provide care for other dogs in my own home.
About: Growing up with both a dog and a cat, I’ve always had a deep understanding of the love and responsibility that comes with caring for pets. I’ve spent years walking, playing, and bonding with pets, so I know exactly what it takes to make them feel at ease. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve been fortunate to look after other pets, from energetic dogs who need daily adventures to cats who just want a bit of attention and a cozy spot to relax. I approach every pet with patience, affection, and respect, making sure they feel safe and well-cared for while you’re away. I’m excited to meet your pet and provide them with the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority! I am a teacher and will be available most weekends and some weekdays, depending on my schedule and school breaks. I will be happy to accommodate the best I can. As a sitter, I would treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and care, just as I would with my own. I make sure to follow their routine, offering playtime and attention to ensure they feel safe and loved. I’m organized, clean, and reliable. You can trust that your pets and home are in good hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Wayzata with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
