“Betsy is wonderful! She made time for a visit with our pup prior to booking which put our minds at ease. She’s flexible and so very kind. Betsy communicated all weekend by sending updates and photos. It’s very evident how much she cares. Will definitely have Hoagie stay with her again!”

“Howie was great with Hazel and was incredibly gentle with her from meet and greet to the final day. He was really good with updates and was diligent about responding to my questions. I would leave Hazel with him again!”

“Kiirsten was a great communicator before and during her care of my old, blind dog. I was confident that the dog was in a good place, which made my vacation stress free. Easy drop off and pick up. The experience couldn't have been better.”

“I can’t say enough about how great of a dog sitter Susan was. She took absolutely amazing care of our two pups and treated them like queens. She gave us daily text updates of their adventures which were reassuring (and entertaining) to read along with daily photos. It is evident she genuinely loves and cares about dogs and we couldn't have left our digs in better hands. Would book again without hesitation. Thank you, Susan!”

“1st time Ever leaving our pups and they did fabulous thanks to Kira!! She is amazing! My boys were spoiled for the weekend ? Kira sent pictures and updates throughout the weekend, and I didn’t worry about them at all! Her pup Apollo is the sweetest! ♥️”

“Emily is one of a kind. As it was our first time using Rover and having a puppy, we were a little shy about it at first, but Emily made us feel comfortable about everything! We did a meet-up a few days before scheduling to confirm it was a good match. It definitely was! She asked us many questions and also let us ask questions about everything, which made us feel more at ease. Throughout the stay, Emily kept us updated on how our puppy was eating and how he was getting along with her own dogs. She also asked us during the stay if it was okay to bring him to certain places, and that was great! Let’s just say our little pup is going to miss the new best friends he made until next time. Emily is so sweet, kind, and caring! We will definitely be having Emily babysit our baby boy again! We recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter, and if you are worried about a puppy needing to be babysat, I can assure you that Emily is amazing.”

“If you're looking for the best, no need to search any further. Leza did an amazing job watching Maxwell (our 12 year Labradoodle) for a full week. He has separation anxiety when we leave him anywhere, but didn't experience any of that with Leza. She honed in pretty quick on what his hot buttons were which were walks and of course his treats. There was some medication administration that she had no issues with doing. He was the same happy boy when we picked him up that he was when we dropped him off, which was a first for us. Thanks Leza, Maxwell had an awesome stay with you and is now his preferred stay provider.”

“Pluto had a blast staying with Stacey . Stacey kept him like we would , at her home and he got all the love from her and her family. When we went to pick him up he was happy to see us but was also wanting to stay with Stacey We would definitely go back to Stacey”

“Derek and his family were wonderful caregivers for our dog Zoey for 10 days. Zoey came home happy and healthy and it was apparent she adores Derek! We are so grateful and will use Derek again in the future.”

“Valerie communicated clearly and did send updates most days of our dog’s stay with her. There were a lot of people in the house to give our dog attention, which I’m sure she loved. Lucy came home happy and seemed to be well-cared for.”
“Jacquie and Kyle took great care of my dog for a weekend! They sent photos multiple times a day of her on walks and hanging out in the yard and around the house. We’d love for them to watch her again.”

“I highly recommend Jana! She and her family were very welcoming to our pup and made her feel at home. The house and yard are set up great for exploring and finding fun things to do. Jana sent pictures and kept us informed about daily activities. Our pup would definitely enjoy staying with Jana again!”

“Makenzie was absolutely wonderful! She did a great job watching my pup. She was responsive and accommodating, and I know she took great care of my pup when he was scared of nearby fireworks. I knew my pup was in great hands while I was away, and I would 100% recommend a stay with Makenzie!”

“Being a single dog mom is tough and River is always there when I need help with someone to watch Dollie. She is my go-to sitter and she’s amazing. She is great with dogs and my pup is always happy and excited to see her.”

“Daniela watched my 4 month old puppy and I couldn’t be happier! She was extremely responsive when we reached out to her and continued communication with us the whole time! I got updates throughout everyday with pictures and messages on how my pup was doing! Even sent us home with some more treats and a bone! Will definitely be coming back to her!”

“Beyond all expectations. I had a family emergency and had to fly to a different state the day after receiving the news. I I had to find my best friend (who has never been away from me except a one night stay a year prior) a place to stay for 3 days. This was among last minute packing, getting multiple construction projects prepped for my absence, preparing hotel stays, etc. Regina made the most import thing in my life a stress free, calm and easy situation. I will be using her again for anything related to my dog “Thor”. She and her wonderful family I would recommend to anyone boarding their dog that wants peace, comfort and daily communication. Regina is the best hands down. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. *Every single day she would send a text and pics to let me know how my pup was doing.”

“My doggies always love staying at Kait's, she is their honorary Auntie now, and they get very excited when i pull out their crates and tell them they will have a sleepover at Auntie Kait's! I love knowing they are safe, and having a blast playing with friends and barely missing me. Have boarded here too many times to count.”

“Dustin was great, and my dog Rooney had a fantastic time! Dustin was communicative and it was so nice to get a video or pic every day. We’ll definitely book again :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wayzata
Lisa was amazing with our five year old Goldendoodle. He had a blast with her during his one-week stay and was well cared for and loved. Lisa sent updates and pics daily. It was such a wonderful experience. Couldn’t recommend her more highly. She was a wonderful host.

Abigail was so wonderful and took amazing care of my (high maintenance) little terrier while I was out of town for a week. He got lots of attention and walks, and the clearly bonded. They clearly bonded and he had a great time. She even made a sweet care package for him! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Sara and her husband were fabulous!! My dog has a lot of anxieties, and Sara made sure we had a couple of meet and greets before leaving him. She has a calming manner that made my dog feel calm and secure. I came home to a happy, and well cared for dog. Thank you!!! She sent pictures and kept us updated.
She is amazing!! If you want your pooch to have extra special care, Highly recommend. Her son also helped and we received several Awesome Photos of our pup while we were away for 8 days. Also wanted to send a huge thank You for being flexible with pick up. Our flight changed and Lisa accommodated without issue!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
