“Ashley took such good care of our fur baby ❤️ She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent us pictures every time she could. Don’t hesitate to book with her and her family, they love animals and take good care of them. Such a great family! We will book again when needed, thank you! ❤️”

“Kelly and Zac were AMAZING hosts to our pup Kona. We’ve only ever had family watch our Kona, so we were a little nervous to try something new. We had nothing to fear. Kelly and Zach made Kona feel right at home. They sent daily updates, took her on walks, and gave her all the love! Highly recommend :)”

About: Home full-time and just steps from miles of walking trails, your dog will enjoy plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship throughout the day. We currently have Loki, our friendly 5-year-old Golden Retriever, who loves other dogs, playing outside, and spending time with our two boys. Our boys absolutely love dogs and are gentle, affectionate, and excited to help make visiting dogs feel like part of the family. Boarding with us means your dog will be welcomed into a real home — not treated like just another booking. We only board one dog at a time, which allows us to give your dog plenty of attention, keep the environment calm, and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. We do not have a fenced yard, but we have a large, wooded yard (.6 acres) where dogs can safely enjoy time outside on a lead. We also live right by a regional walking/biking trail, so frequent walks and outdoor time are easy and part of our routine. I am comfortable caring for all dogs, including senior dogs, rescue dogs, dogs with separation anxiety, and dogs who need a little extra patience or reassurance. I have experience giving medications, crate training, leash walking, basic obedience, and helping dogs settle into a new environment. I am active and outdoorsy, so dogs who enjoy walks, playtime, and being part of family life will fit in well here. For everyone’s safety and comfort, visiting dogs must be potty trained, kid-friendly, and non-aggressive. They do not need to be crate trained. We are not currently accepting puppies. Our goal is simple: to give your dog a safe, loving, active place to stay where they get the kind of care we would want for our own dog. My husband and I both work from home on alternating schedules, so caring for dogs are part of our normal daily rhythm. We are available throughout the day for potty breaks, attention, feeding, walks, and check-ins. We live right on a regional trail, which makes daily walks easy, and we also spend time outside in our large yard with dogs safely on a lead. Pet care naturally fits into our family routine — walks, playtime, downtime, and lots of love. Your dog can expect a warm, active family home with plenty of attention, outdoor time, and affection. Because we only board one guest dog at a time, your dog will get personalized care, a calm environment, and lots of time with our friendly Golden Retriever, Loki. We want dogs to feel comfortable, safe, and included while you are away. We have a large yard, but it is not fenced, so visiting dogs are always kept safe on a lead when outside. Our home includes two dog-loving boys and our friendly Golden, so visiting dogs should be kid-friendly, potty trained, and comfortable around another dog. We can crate your dog if that is part of their normal routine, but crate training is not required. We are happy to follow your dog’s feeding, medication, walking, and sleep routines as closely as possible to help them feel secure.
“Another year and another great stay with Taylor and Andrew. Our boy is big, strong willed and not great with all dogs but he is treated like one of their own with Taylor. She is great with keeping her pack safe, happy, and entertained and giving me photo updates throughout the week.”
“Cherie is a godsend. She is so communicative and her beautiful home is a wonderful setting for pups. She was so incredibly sweet and patient with our Angel, you can really tell she is very experienced with dogs. I have zero notes to give and cannot recommend her enough!!!”

“Angela took wonderful care of our pup so we could relax and enjoy our vacation. She was very pleasant, patient, and attentive. Our pup will miss her! We will most certainly consider booking with her for future needs. Thank you so much, Angela! Hugs & Wags, Brittany & John”

“They sent updates everyday and really care about the dogs they board!! My senior golden was well taken care of and we will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

“Valerie communicated clearly and did send updates most days of our dog’s stay with her. There were a lot of people in the house to give our dog attention, which I’m sure she loved. Lucy came home happy and seemed to be well-cared for.”
“Cassandra and Eric were incredible! Super communicative and it seems like our dogs really became a part of their family. They will be my first choice next time we need a sitter.”

“Would rate ten stars if we could. We have never had to board our pup for longer than two days and we put our full trust in Timm for our nine day trip. It was also our dog's first experience with a cat and Timm made sure that experience went smoothly. Timm also set up a video call well in advance of our pup's stay to assure us of the other pets he'd be staying with and the home he would be staying at. When we arrived, he ran right up to the house and made himself at home. We got several updates throughout our honeymoon and enjoyed all of the photos and videos. We are so grateful for Timm and plan to book with him in the future.”

“Great communication, very friendly, first time using this service and they made me feel very comfortable and my dog loved them! We will definitly use them again next time we go out of town!”
“I boarded my dog with Barbara for the first time when I was out of town on a week long vacation. Ramona was very comfortable at Barbara's house and got along great with her dog Frankie! Barbara went above and beyond when Ramona got an upset stomach in the middle of the stay and needed to go to the vet. She was very attentive and noticed right away when Ramona started to not feel well, and recommended different vets to me when my vet couldn't get us in on the same day. She was very communicative with me during the whole time and helped to reassure me since I couldn't be there in person. Also, Barbara was very accommodating and welcomed Ramona to stay an extra night when I had flight cancellations and delays getting home. Knowing my dog was in a safe and caring place helped to ease some of the more stressful parts of travel. Would definitely recommend Barbara as a pet sitter!”

“Anna & David were incredibly communicative, easy to work with, and our pups came home very happy and well taken care of. We can't recommend them more - Cherry & Louie say thank you!”

“Bella had a great stay with Manami! Manami kept us up to date with photos and notes each day. This was our first time leaving our 9 year old lab with anyone but family. We were appreciative that she was so well taken care of. We would recommend Manami and Bella would love to stay with her again!”

“Twice now Dee Dee has watched my 2 dogs and she is absolutely wonderful! The dogs are well cared for and watched, definitely given the attention we all want our pups to have, and Dee Dee does a great job on sending updated photos, which I find great! I definitely recommend her services!”

“This is our first time booking through Rover; Joe provided a fantastic experience. He provided a safe, friendly, comfortable home for our dog. He took Goose on many walks, spent lots of time with him, and provided regular updates (picture and text). Joe’s lovable lab (Henry) was the cherry on top of the cake. We’ll definitely book with Joe again. It was a much better experience than boarding with a business.”

“Wesley was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Frankie. From the moment I dropped him off, it was evident that Frankie was treated like family and genuinely well cared for. Wesley and his parents have a beautiful home with a secure, fenced-in yard, which made us feel incredibly comfortable. We were able to travel out of the country with complete peace of mind knowing my dog was safe, happy, and truly prioritized. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Wesley to anyone looking for exceptional care. I received photos and updates. We look forward to planning our next adventure and rebooking with Wesley!”

“Stacey was absolutely AMAZING! This was my first time leaving Rocky and he did really well. Stacey kept me informed daily and sent pictures. She did such a great job with my furbaby. There is absolutely no doubt that I would use her services again. Stacey will take care of your pet as if it were her own. I would give her 10 stars if I could.”

Alex is so sweet and wonderful! She took care of our beloved Ollie for two weeks while we were away on vacation, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. Alex treated Ollie like he was her own and kept us updated throughout our trip with regular messages and adorable photos. I highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and reliable pet sitter. Your pets will be loved and cared for just like family!

Abigail was so wonderful and took amazing care of my (high maintenance) little terrier while I was out of town for a week. He got lots of attention and walks, and the clearly bonded. They clearly bonded and he had a great time. She even made a sweet care package for him! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Sue was a wonderful caretaker for our dog Iggy!! Daily updates with a plethora of photos, she did all she could to help us feel comfortable and confident during our 6 days away. With enthusiasm- and without qualification!!- we recommend “Auntie Sue” as a communicative, responsible, and Loving canine caregiver!!!!

Katherine was such a saint with our mini Goldendoodle, Kobe, during his stay with her for a week. She took such good care of him and provided frequent communication and pictures. Katherine helped problem solve a few potty issues Kobe had, too. He had a great time with her pup, as well. I would highly recommend Katherine.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
