I am a foster Mom for rescue dogs. I've also successfully trained a service dog for Helping Paws. Dog sitting is a way for me to socialize pets while helping out fellow dog lovers. I offer pick up and delivery service as well as airport runs for clients as a convenience for folks who live nearby. My home is conveniently located off of 394 and 494. The fenced in back yard is escape proof (rescue dog tested) and I have gates in the house to keep dogs from escaping through open doors. Safety is a priority. I retired from corporate life a few years ago and found my new passion is caring for pets. My husband is also a big help! PS. No Pit Bull's or Chihuahua's please

Fantastic experience!!!! My pups stayed 5 days with Kath when we had a last minute out of town trip. Kath was very responsive and accommodating. She has a great fenced-in backyard, living room set up for pups, and a walking trail they took the pups on for long, nature walks. My pups will definitely be back at Kath’s ! I feel very fortunate ( both for me as pup-mom and for my pups:) ) to have found her!
Kind, responsive, and accommodating - everything I’ve wanted in a dog care giver! We will be returning again. Fenced yard my pup loved. Has kennels for nightime which my pup wouldn’t go near (she sleeps in bed with husband & I, lol). a little spendy $$$ but worth the extra.

Schedule
I'm typically gone from 1-2 hours each day and home the rest of the time. Pet care brings pure joy and happiness into my day! My husband is frequently home when I am out and about.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and doggy door that most dogs learn how to use very quickly. Making sure dogs are compatible with each other is a priority. Slow introductions are managed by having dogs meet in a neutral space and then we go for a walk so the dogs get used to each other before entering the house for more socializing.
A typical day
I usually walk around the block. It's a one mile loop that can be expanded to two or three miles. We also play ball or frisbee in the back yard, depending on exercise needs of the dog.
