“KJ hosted our pup over the holidays. She is an excellent communicator and very easy to work with. I appreciated KJ wanted to meet our pup before hosting him and was impressed by her interest in his personality. While we were away she provided regular updates about what he was up to - texts, photos and videos. KJ is a great ost and we look forward to having her host our pup again!”

“Susan and Craig are clearly animal lovers and have a great calm energy around them! We were so fortunate to find them to have our two boys hang out at their place when we went out of town for work - they had a fantastic time!”

“Brittany did a great job taking care of Noah overnight and thru the following day. He got along well with the other dogs in her home and came back tired but happy! Thank you Brittany for taking good care of him.”

He came home exhausted and happy. Will use again!”

“Andrew is so thoughtful, prepared, and caring! Our puppy always comes home so happy and fulfilled from his time staying with Andrew, who has also been very patient with our growing puppy who is still learning a lot. We also always appreciate the consistent check-ins and updates while we’re gone. Thank you Andrew!!”

“We recently had the pleasure of entrusting the care of our two Yorkie rescues to Beth & Evan, an exceptional team of dog caregivers. Our Yorkie rescues have significant challenges due to their past experiences with anxiety, abandonment and physical and emotional trauma exposures, and even after year of building resilience and redirecting behavior, they continue to struggle with these issues. From our first interaction with Beth & Evan, it was evident they were experienced and attentive to their triggers that could cause stress by taking time to understand their unique challenges in personalities, approaching them with a calm and centered demeanor, and put the dogs at ease, as they are wary of new people in situations. Beth & Evan went above and beyond to make our dogs feel loved, comfortable, and safe, and we are incredibly grateful for their exceptional care. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate and effective pet caregivers.”

“we have only worked with one other rover and typically have family watch our little guy. Due to this, we were nervous to branch out and find someone new when we relocated to MSP. We did a meet and greet with Colleen and Joe and they were wonderful. Dezi immediately took to their great yard and house and they were both so kind and willing to answer any questions and put us at ease. Dezi also loved Nico and it was clear they would be great friends. Dezi just had his first overnight with them and they were very communicative and sent pictures and updates. We are already booked for another visit and are so thankful to have found Colleen, Joe, and Nico!”

“Liz and her family were so great! She provided great updates and assured us Theo was doing great and enjoying his time with them. We will definitely be booking with them again!”

About: Caring for animals has always been more than a job or a hobby for me—it's part of who I am. I truly believe I was put on this earth to love and care for animals, and every pet that enters my home is treated like a member of my family. I was fortunate to have a Cavalier King Charles and a Cavapoo for a total of 17 years combined. They were my entire life and I took them to as many places together and made them a big part of my life. I miss them everyday. When a pet stays with me, I make it my priority to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether that means walks, playtime, cuddle sessions on the couch, administering medications, or simply providing a calm, loving environment, I pay close attention to each pet's unique personality and needs. I know how important consistency, patience, and affection are, especially when they're away from the people they love most. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. I take the trust that owners place in me very seriously, and I care for every dog as if they were my own—with kindness, respect, plenty of love, and lots of belly rubs (if they enjoy them!). I hope that when you return home, your pet is not only happy and well cared for, but has also enjoyed their own little vacation filled with love, attention, and companionship. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I work from home several days each week, which allows me to provide plenty of companionship, attention, walks, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. On the days I go into the office, it's just a short drive from home, so I'm able to come home during lunch to check in, spend time with your pet, and make sure they're comfortable. Honestly, one of my favorite ways to spend my free time is at home with my furry friends. Whether we're going for a walk, playing, relaxing on the couch, or simply enjoying each other's company, I love making pets feel safe, happy, and loved. I also believe every pet is unique. When caring for a new dog, I make it a priority to learn their routine, personality, and preferences. I don't like leaving pets alone for long periods, especially while they're adjusting to a new environment. My goal is to provide a calm, consistent routine so they feel secure and cared for from the moment they arrive until they're reunited with their family. I feel truly honored when someone trusts me with the care of their pet. I know how much our furry family members mean to us, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they will be safe, loved, and well cared for while they are with me. Some people might say I’m a little “over the top” when it comes to pet safety—and I’m okay with that! I believe it’s always better to be prepared and to leave no stone unturned. Whether we’re going outside, playing in the yard, or taking a walk, your pet will always be secure and closely supervised. I carry water with me on walks in case they get extra thirsty, and I keep a whistle with me as an added safety precaution. I also pay close attention to every pet’s individual routine, personality, and special needs. Whether that means hand-feeding a pet who needs a little extra encouragement, helping a senior dog safely get up onto the bed or couch, following specific dietary instructions, or simply giving them extra patience and reassurance, I’m happy to provide the thoughtful care they need. On hot days, I make sure pets have plenty of fresh water, stay cool and comfortable, and avoid spending too much time outside in the heat. Most of all, I want your pet to feel at home. We can go for walks, play, relax, snuggle on the couch, or enjoy a cozy evening watching TV together. I’ll take the time to get to know what makes your pet happy and comfortable because every animal is different—and every one deserves to feel safe, loved, and included. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away and to make sure your pet feels like they are staying with someone who genuinely cares for them as deeply as you do. I will treat your pet as if they were my own and care for them with kindness, patience, attention, and lots of love.

“April, Austin and Logan took the best care of our little doggie! We got constant photos, video and updates which was a great thing for us new pet parents. Charlie had fun playing with all the cool toys and making friends with other dogs. 10/10 would recommend and will work with again!”

“Ashley took such great care of our fur baby Ginger, she sent us photos everyday of them walking, going to the park, hanging out, it was really nice hearing and seeing how she was doing while we were away. I would highly recommend Ashley, we’ll definitely be using her again.”

“We had a great experience with Jacquie. I received updates and pictures everyday and my dogs seemed to have enjoyed themselves. I would recommend Jacquie to anyone looking for a pup sitter!”
“Unfortunately my dog had some stomach issues ☹️ during his stay but Abigail handled it brilliantly making him chicken and rice and checking in with me. ❤️. Looking forward to rebooking with Abigail.”

“Asher was so happy, and I could see that from the photos we received during his stay. I loved the communication from Sophia! She was wonderful and very accommodating, making sure Asher was comfortable and happy at all times. I especially appreciated that Sophia gave Asher time to get used to his room, instead of just shutting him in right away. Definitely 5 ? ????”

Yuliya was wonderful with Reese for the second time! Reese had another great stay, and we felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such good hands. We really appreciate the pictures and updates and can always tell Reese is happy and well cared for while she’s there. We’ll definitely continue booking with Yuliya in the future!

Thank you, Kelsey, and your wonderful family for taking such great care of Pepper! I know she received a lot of snuggles, love, exercise and special attention. Thank you for managing her medicine and special food. I know that was one more thing to deal with but you handled it like a pro and I was not worried at all! I sincerely appreciate the daily photos. Looking forward to having Pep stay with you again sometime!

Leza is an excellent pet sitter. We booked very last minute, she was very accommodating. She was very friendly and communication was quick. Juniper was well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed getting pictures and updates as it was our first time leaving our puppy. I’d recommend Leza and definitely use her service again.

We had a wonderful experience and felt so comfortable knowing our dog was well cared for. We especially appreciated the photos and videos, which gave us peace of mind and helped us feel connected while we were away. Communication was great, and it was clear she was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Logan is knowledgeable and caring about all things animals. She initiated a Meet & Greet before the first time caring for our pups and it was important to her to get familiar with our family. During their first stay, she provided updates, sent pics and followed all of our care instructions. When my flight was delayed, she kindly agreed to a later pick-up.

Yira and Sebastian are the best dog sitters ever! They spoiled my dogs for 5 days. Sent me great photos and updates everyday! My dogs had walks and they played def h with my ball obsessed dog. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
