“Maria was the best sitter we could have found for Luna. We were always receiving pictures and video of how much fun our dog was having. She always looked extremely happy, well taken care of and loved. Communication was excellent, sitter was gracious, the house and backyard were big and spacious. Maria is our official doggy sitter.”

“Leza was absolutely incredible caring for my dog. We were given frequent pictures and updates throughout the day and our dog always looked relaxed and happy. I would whole heartedly recommend Leza as a great pet sitter.”

“Debbie is a great! She is very friendly and kept us well informed while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Her dog Theo got along well with Tessa, which made the stay even better. We would definitely trust and enjoy having Debbie watch Tessa again!”
“My pup has reactivity to some dogs and had never had any exposure to cats. I was nervous to leave him with Ali's dog and 2 cats cats but, my concerns were alleviated by Ali and Walker. They have a seperate, comfortable space for dogs downstairs, Buster (wiener dog) was very sweet to my dog during a meet and greet, and even the cats were accustomed to dogs. I recieved daily updates and my dog came home happy and tired - just what I was hoping for.”

“Would rate ten stars if we could. We have never had to board our pup for longer than two days and we put our full trust in Timm for our nine day trip. It was also our dog's first experience with a cat and Timm made sure that experience went smoothly. Timm also set up a video call well in advance of our pup's stay to assure us of the other pets he'd be staying with and the home he would be staying at. When we arrived, he ran right up to the house and made himself at home. We got several updates throughout our honeymoon and enjoyed all of the photos and videos. We are so grateful for Timm and plan to book with him in the future.”

“Judy is such a sweet lady, I could tell she would be very responsible and caring with my Teddy. Even so, it was hard to leave him with someone for the first time ever. She sent pictures and texts that reassured me that he was handling everything fine and settling in at her house for the night. That really helped! In the end, Teddy was just fine and I was the only one who was having separation issues! We will definitely be booking with Judy again. Thank you Judy!”

“Maria is the best! Our 12 yr old labradoodle has been with Maria for 2 week stays for the past several years. Maria sends us updates daily and is great at communicating. I know your dog is well taken care of and comes home happy everytime. I highly recommend Maria!”

“Brittney is awesome. Sierra comes home happy and ready for rest from all the playing. My pup had a bad tummy all week and she helped her get through it. I am forever grateful for the care that she provided.”

“Emily is one of a kind. As it was our first time using Rover and having a puppy, we were a little shy about it at first, but Emily made us feel comfortable about everything! We did a meet-up a few days before scheduling to confirm it was a good match. It definitely was! She asked us many questions and also let us ask questions about everything, which made us feel more at ease. Throughout the stay, Emily kept us updated on how our puppy was eating and how he was getting along with her own dogs. She also asked us during the stay if it was okay to bring him to certain places, and that was great! Let’s just say our little pup is going to miss the new best friends he made until next time. Emily is so sweet, kind, and caring! We will definitely be having Emily babysit our baby boy again! We recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter, and if you are worried about a puppy needing to be babysat, I can assure you that Emily is amazing.”

“Bryan was great. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog there they cut me updated sent pictures and even had a nice little note and card with a little picture of Archie when I picked them up highly recommend”

“Jordan did a great job sitting our dog. He was even able to accommodate a last minute change of plans, and take our dog for an extra day. He responded quickly to all questions during the boarding process, and gave good updates during the stay. I highly recommend Jordan!”

“Beth & Evan were great with my senior dog. They took great care of him and sent me photos throughout the weekend along with updates. Would definitely recommend them and will use them again.”

“Susan and Craig took wonderful care of my pup and I highly recommend for anyone with oral pill administration, anxiety, or minor behavioral issues (herding). Their updates and care put my mind at ease. Thanks again, you two!”

“Jeremiah and family are so caring and loving with our dear dog!! Started with daycare 3 nights and moved on to boarding for 6 nights!! Our doodle was very well loved and taken care of. Highly recommend this family!”

“Andrew is wonderful with my dogs. We did a meet and greet and the dogs were very comfortable and happy to have a sleep over. I received reports and video and photos showing they were having fun.”

“Thanks to Howie and Betsy for Fanya's stay last week. I was looking for a family who watches one dog at a time as Fanya is gentle, and can be uncomfortable with several dogs at one time. Howie sent updates and photos at the end of each day (Fanya was there for 5 nights). I feel very comfortable letting Fanya stay with Howie and his family in the future.”

“They are always awesome!!! I love that Lydia gets her own space and also lots of time outside running and playing with other dogs. They are very communicative as well and I love getting to peek in and say hi through a camera! Thank you!!! See you next month ❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hamel
I felt so at ease leaving Hank with Kelsey & her family. They are warm, attentive, & stayed in touch on a regular basis every day with photos & updates, which is exactly what I love from a Rover family. I know that my dog, Hank, had a great vacation with them & enjoyed time with their dog, Enzo, & their cute kiddos! I highly recommend this caring Rover family. I hope to book them, again, for future pup-care. 🐾

We had a wonderful experience and felt so comfortable knowing our dog was well cared for. We especially appreciated the photos and videos, which gave us peace of mind and helped us feel connected while we were away. Communication was great, and it was clear she was in good hands. Highly recommend!

Yuliya is the best sitter/ boarder we could have found for our dachshund who is usually very nervous about everything. She is so happy and shows no signs of stress after she comes home, we are so impressed! The only thing I worry about is that she is going to love Yuliya more than us now haha 😆 she made new friends and is probably learning great social skills thanks to the calm comfortable environment. Thank you 🙏🏻

Logan is knowledgeable and caring about all things animals. She initiated a Meet & Greet before the first time caring for our pups and it was important to her to get familiar with our family. During their first stay, she provided updates, sent pics and followed all of our care instructions. When my flight was delayed, she kindly agreed to a later pick-up.

Yira and Sebastian are the best dog sitters ever! They spoiled my dogs for 5 days. Sent me great photos and updates everyday! My dogs had walks and they played def h with my ball obsessed dog. They made my dogs feel like part of their family which helped me relax more on my trip! Thank you Yira, Sebastian, Emma and Seba. You are all amazing
She is amazing!! If you want your pooch to have extra special care, Highly recommend. Her son also helped and we received several Awesome Photos of our pup while we were away for 8 days. Also wanted to send a huge thank You for being flexible with pick up. Our flight changed and Lisa accommodated without issue!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
