When watching pets, keeping them engaged, happy, and stimulated is a top priority. Here’s a list of fun activities that I can do with the pets under my care: 1. Interactive Playtime Fetch and Tug-of-War: Classic games like fetch and tug-of-war are great for burning off energy and strengthening the bond with the pet. Chase Games: For dogs who love to run, a game of chase around the yard or in a secure area is a fun way to get them moving. Toy Time: I’ll rotate through a variety of toys like squeaky toys, balls, or puzzle toys to keep things interesting. 2. Walks and Exploration Nature Walks: I’ll take dogs on walks in parks or trails where they can explore new scents, sights, and sounds. For cats who are leash-trained, a slow, controlled exploration outside can be an exciting adventure. Neighborhood Walks: Regular walks around the neighborhood help keep pets familiar with their surroundings while providing great exercise. 3. Mental Stimulation Puzzle Games: I’ll use interactive puzzle toys that challenge pets to find treats or solve a problem, keeping their minds sharp and engaged. Training Sessions: Incorporating short training sessions with treats or toys as rewards can be a fun way to reinforce good behavior and teach new tricks.
