My earliest memories included animals. Cats, dogs, birds, hamsters and horses have been a big part of who I am and what I'm passionate about. I've owned dachshunds to huskies to dobermans and believe animals are so important to a happy life. My house sits on just under 5 acres, a half acre of which that is fenced in. There's plenty of room to play inside and out. I have a three-year-old daughter who has grown up with lots of animals and lots of dogs at the house, so she knows how to be respectful around animals. I have a great gate system in my house that allows for dogs to be separated if needed. I have three dogs - a 6-year-old doberman named Lana, a 13-year-old cattle dog rescue mix named Zoey, and a 1-year-old whippet named Malcolm. All three dogs are great with other dogs and love to play. I foster for the Doberman Rescue of MN at times as well. I have two cats Dexter and Malory who are both dog-savvy and super friendly. They have access to the top floor of the house away from the dogs and can be kept separate if there is a dog in the house that does not like cats. I am treasurer of the Greater Twin Cities Doberman Pinscher club and am involved in a lot of the local dog related events at shows. I have helped raise and train puppies of all ages for several breeder friends. I have trained several dogs over the years and have experience working with high-energy working and sporting breeds. I am currently working on agility, rally and scent work with my doberman, as well as conformation showing with my whippet. I offer dog and cat boarding as well as day care. My animals are part of the family and live as such. I can do any manner of complicated diet needs including feeding raw, and give any kind of medication, including insulin. I offer bathing and grooming if needed as well. I have an awesome indoor/outdoor kennel runs set up in my heated garage for when I am away from the house for longer periods of time so that my dogs never have to hold it and have room to play in or outside. I do work from home, so I am home majority of the time. Cats that are being boarded have their own room with tons of sunlight and attention. I have family members who work from home who are less than 5 minutes away and can check on the animals when needed as well. I have watched countless dogs and cats over the years for friends, breeders and family, and love being able to help other people out when they need someone reliable and animal-smart to watch their pets.
