“Jessica has been fantastic and was a great fit for my dog. I needed her for about a month and each day went very smoothly. I would highly recommend her to anyone using Rover.”

“Maia took wonderful care of our cat, Princess Leia, while we were out of town for four days. She was an excellent communicator, keeping us updated and giving us peace of mind that everything was going smoothly. When we returned home, both our house and our cat were clearly well cared for. Princess Leia was happy to see us, but she also seemed calm, relaxed, and content, which is always the best sign that she's been in good hands. Maia's drop-in visits gave us confidence that our cat was getting the attention and care she needed while we were away. We would absolutely trust Maia with our home and pets again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and caring pet sitter.”

“Anne is great with my senior cat. Always coming up with new ways to engage her when I am away, or cool to chill if Socks just isn’t feeling frisky. 10/10 would recommend!”

“Ashley was very accommodating was able to book last minute and squeeze me in and still meet my kiddos needs. Communicative and fast response to any questions or concerns I had. Thanks”

“Heather took great care of our kitties while we were gone for the weekend. Very communicative, friendly and took on our booking somewhat last minute. We really appreciate your great care. We will request to book with her again. Thank you!!”

“Jordan took great care of my cat when I was out of town for a week! I appreciate how he had sent many photos each time he dropped by my apartment to visit my cat, and he had excellent communication. I will definitely be reaching out to him again when I'm in need of a cat sitter again :)”

“Kaitlyn was fantastic! Responsive, great communication, friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable having a new person come into our home and care for our puppy without us there. She took wonderful care of our girl! Sending multiple pictures and a detailed report of what they did and her behavior, and was great at helping put our puppy gate back up before leaving. We’ve never had a sitter or used Rover before - if you are looking for someone you can trust, give you peace of mind, and really make you feel your animal had a safe and fun time with them, I would highly recommend reaching out to Kaitlyn!! We would absolutely love working with her again.”

“Ciboney was amazing! She was great at communicating, sent lots of photos and updates, and my shy cat loved her. It was so reassuring knowing Karen was in such good hands. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her!”

About: Update: 1. We just bought a kiddie pool for dogs! If your pet gets over heated in the summer and enjoys water time, they can enjoy the dog pool in our backyard. (: 2. We are booked for all of July and August. Currently we are accepting bookings for September onwards. Thank you! (: We have a massive fenced in backyard for dogs and playtime for cats will be indoors. For dogs, we're happy to give them 4 walks a day and lots of playtime and fetch in the fenced-in backyard. For cats- we have a huge bay window overlooking a bird feeder so cats can soak in the sun and spend their time watching the birdies. We do not put any fur babies in crates. This is not our full time job nor income, we're doing this because we love animals and with having cats of our own we understand how stressful it can be to find the right care while going on vacations/work trips. So at our home, your pet will feel like its their vacation time! They'll have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to run around and be happy and comfortable! We also do not accept more than 1 booking at a time. 2 dogs from the same family are welcome but we don't accept multiple bookings from different households at the same time. We do not want our home to feel crowded and we do not want the dogs and cats to feel overwhelmed so you can always be assured that our house will feel like a mini stress free vacation for your pets! (: We will need you to provide everything your pet will need for their stay including food bowl, water bowl, toys/treats, food and most importantly- medications if needed. For Doggy day care: if we are doing doggy day care, we will only be taking one dog at a time, or 2 dogs from the same family. We want to ensure that the pet has a fun time while away from their fav human for a few hours, and simultaneously we want to have stress free work days (: Thank you! (: We work from home so we are available for walks, and playtime in the fenced-in backyard. We also love dogs and cats so they're welcome to join us in our bed for all naps! We have two cats of our own but they will have no interaction with your dog/cat; when we are sitting your pets our cats will be in the basement (which is their fav place in the house anyway). If you're reaching out to us about cat sitting, please also ensure that you're willing to provide litter.
About: I have cared for animals since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have asked me to petsit, walk, bath and help care for their animals. I can care for puppies/kittens to seniors and everyone in-between. I rely on positive reinforcement for training. I can administer medications, trim nails and other care required. I have worked as a Vet Tech and currently I am in school to become a certified Vet Tech. I am currently in school with mostly online classes so I can seamlessly accommodate your pets care. I will send daily updates and/or photos if requested. I care for your pets from the comfort of your home giving you piece of mind while traveling while your pet will be less stressed.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been a dedicated dog owner for over 8 years. For the past 3 years, I’ve also fostered pups, giving me experience with a wide range of temperaments and styles. I’m comfortable with everything from high energy personalities to shy or anxious dogs. I’m comfortable with senior dogs (my last pup was 18!), puppies and everything in between. At this time, I’m focusing on small and medium sized dogs so they will be the best match for my own dog and I can provide the best care possible. I work full time from home and am available to board in my house anytime for most lengths of time. Lots of time to play with your pup! Right now, I’m open to hosting small and medium pups—as they are the best matches for my own dog. My dog, Elliot, loves to go for walks (weather permitting) and we’d love for your pup to tag along! If the weather is bad, my yard is perfect for zoomies, ball/toy chasing, neighbor watching and basking in the sun. I have my own small pup who is energetic and loves to play, but isn’t pushy. I work from home so we are together all the time! We walk often—in the morning, at lunch and in evenings. I have a fenced in yard for potty breaks with lots of toys and enrichment. I am home most of the time, but would contain (kennel or pen if needed) when I leave and I’m also open to pups that aren’t kenneled but safe to leave out (I’d put away my own dog).
“Madilyn was available on short notice and did such a wonderful job looking after our cat. Her detailed notes and adorable photos put us at ease while we were away. We highly recommend Madilyn!”

“Peggy went above and beyond on taking care of my new 2 month old puppy, Coco. Coco is very needy and needs extra attentionand Peggy was able to use her experience as a dog owner to help with Coco. She also was willing to go and pick up the keys from work which I appreciated a lot as I live in an apartment. I will definitely recommend her! She’s super nice!”
About: Hello! My name is Andy, and I have many years of experience loving and taking care of all sorts of animals! Over the years, my family has had a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish, and bunnies—and we’ve also watched many, many more than that short-term. We are familiar with many types of animals and feel comfortable following your specific instructions for their care. I love animals of all kinds and will treat your pets lovingly with the care you expect and deserve. Spoiling your pet with a lot of love and personalized attention while keeping them safe and secure are my main goals as your pet sitter. I will be as active or relaxed as your dog needs- anything your dog requires for a safe and happy stay, I will gladly provide. I strive to always carefully follow your instructions. I am an animal advocate with extensive animal handlers and training experience. For many years, I have worked as an animal volunteer and foster parent for animals to be adopted. I have a soft spot for dogs of all kinds, and over the years have personally adopted spaniels, terriers, doodles, shepherds, and cats. I promise to treat your pet as if it is my own, play with it, give it tons of attention and love, and make sure it is fed and comfy while in my care. I have cared for my neighbors and friends pets for the past 30 years. I'm known by all as being a loving pet mom. I am looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! I am available daily for walks, drop-ins, and house sitting. I have experience training dogs and working with rescued animals. Our family dogs are rescues and fosters, and they were trained and cared for by me. They are now certified therapy animals. Also, I feel comfortable giving medications and caring for older animals or those with special needs. I have experience working with animals that need extra attention or care due to a rough past or neglect. As their foster mom, my dogs are rescues that came from neglectful situations and had to be nursed back to health. Both have undergone amazing transformations and are happy, healthy, loving, and playful now. I’ve taken care of many very small dogs and understand their specific needs intimately, as my family owns a number of small pets—and I’ve taken care of larger dogs and understand their needs and likes too, as I’ve supervised the maturation and training of several larger dogs. Speaking of training—I’m confident with pets of any level of training! In fact, if anything I’m something of a good influence on untrained animals, owing to my experience training animals over the years. Pets, especially clever pets, love to get a command correct and get a treat for it! As far as more “exotic” pets, I’m comfortable with a lot! I think animals are fascinating and love to meet new ones—even in elementary school I was one of the kids who took care of our class animals, including our snakes (a rainbow boa and a constrictor), and our iguana (aptly named “Iggy”)—so I’m not afraid of interesting animal friends! I’ll gladly watch your peafowl or your domesticated fox or your ferret, and I’ll take care of it like it was my own. “Kolleen was so helpful to do drop-ins for a few days while we were away and our primary dog watcher was at work during the day. As a beagle owner she understood our crazy beagles very well and I could tell they were excited to see her each day from the photos she sent! She made sure to capture their cutest angles too! I would absolutely trust her again with our dogs for boarding or a drop in visit!”

Jessica gives my cat Kevin so much love and attention when I am gone! Kevin gets really lonely by himself and needs a lot of interactive play and Jessica makes sure he gets lots of play time and pets :) She leaves great updates to help me see how he's doing and she takes the cutest pictures!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
