About: I’v had 2 cats, a german sheaperd & a husky mix. I also lived with both cats & dogs while with roommates & of course have been around many pets of family & friend’s. Currently, I have an elder pitbull named Ladybird with my partner. I am a big home-body who helps care for disabled people few times of week in the evening (usually 4pm-9pm). Other than that, I am usually available short notice & have plenty of time for check-ins to work with you & your pet. -Will always keep leashed when out -Understands pets come with many different personalities & will try to adapt to offer them the most comfort. I know it’s not any easy time for your pets or you to be away from eachother.

About: I've loved animals all my life. I got my first puppy when I was about 13 years old, full of pre-teen enthusiasm for learning all about dog behavior and puppy training strategies. Now that my own beloved dog is no longer with us, I've found myself wishing I had more opportunities to connect with animals on a regular basis. I've taken every chance I could to pet sit for friends and acquaintances over the years, but recently I realized that I could also be using Rover to make pet care a more regular part of my life! Since I'm also meant to share something here that makes me "stand out" as a sitter, I'll say that animals do tend to feel particularly safe and relaxed around me. If I were to take a guess as to why that is, I think I would say that it's probably a combination of: 1) genuinely loving pets and wanting to have a positive interaction with them, 2) not bringing anxious energy into the room, which I think is something that most pets can sense, and 3) knowing enough about animal behavior to not escalate any existing anxieties or aggression. As someone who has had a beloved pet, I know how important it is to find someone to care for your pet that you can trust to accommodate their particular needs, and to create a safe, happy environment for them while you're away. If you'll trust me to be that person, then nothing would make me happier than to give your pet an amazing visit, walk, or staycation! I work full time (8 hours M-F) in Arden Hills, but I have a fairly flexible work schedule. My preference for pet care would be to mostly fit it in before and after work (my hours can usually be adjusted based on a pet's daily schedule), but I also have the flexibility to pop out for short walks in the middle of the day, if needed. I can also work from home if absolutely necessary, but I would not wish to do that frequently. I am not able to host pets in my home at this time, but if I can come and care for your pets at their own home, I am happy to follow whatever instructions you give for how to make your pet feel happy and safe and cared for during your absence! I am a careful instruction follower, so I will refer back to any information you can give me about what your pet is accustomed to when you are home, and how you would like me to care for them when you're gone. If you feel nervous at all about leaving them, I'm also more than happy to send regular updates to you about how they are doing!

About: Hi! I’m a kindergarten teacher with a flexible summer schedule, which gives me plenty of time to provide walks, drop-in visits, and quality care for your furry family members. About: I’m recently unemployed and looking to get my steps in and earn some dollar tree money! I have experience running a BOOMING neighborhood dog walking business in the 90s! Also the proud owner of 1 Bombay cat. Not much specialized experience, but wide open availability to help at run of the mill drop ins and/or walks. Hope to meet you! About: I have grown up having cats, and have experience caring for dogs since I was a child. I am happy to bathe and give medications to non - aggressive animals. I am best available after 5 pm on weekdays, and carried available on the weekends. I am pretty flexible and willing to work with owners. Unless noted the pet does well with other pets/ dog parks I will keep the pets away from other pets. I care greatly for your pets safety.

I've cared for my own dogs, cats, mice, hamsters, gerbils, and birds for over 40 years, so I understand the daily routines, quirks, and needs of all kinds of companions. I'm especially attuned to dogs and cats—I read their body language exceptionally well and know what they're "saying. "For example, a slow blink from a cat is their way of saying "I love you," while a soft "mee mee" often means "come here." With dogs, I always approach respectfully: letting them sniff my open palm first (never reaching over their head, as it can feel dominant), then gently petting the shoulder and down the side. Energy matters so much—staying calm, happy, and positive helps even anxious pets relax quickly. I have a whole "warehouse" of these insights from years of close observation, and I love using them to build trust and joy. I'm reliable, patient, and genuinely excited to care for your pets as if they were my own. I'll play with them, give plenty of love and cuddles, follow your instructions to a T, and make sure they feel at home. Being away from your furry family is tough—I get it, and I'll do my best to keep things feeling normal and happy for them (and send you lots of updates and pictures so you can see for yourself!). I can provide most of the same loving care as other sitters—feedings, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, toy fun, and house check-ins—but due to some mobility limits, I focus on shorter, gentle walks (up to about 15 minutes) or indoor/outdoor potty time and enrichment instead of longer neighborhood strolls. This works wonderfully for calmer dogs, seniors, smaller breeds, or cats who prefer cozy companionship. I'm happy to adapt to your pet's energy level and needs!
