“Scott was great with Birdie and Mogie. Communication and flexibility were top shelf and both of our cats bonded with Scott right away. I would highly recommend this sitter and Scott will be my first choice next time I need someone to look after our cats.”

“Such a great dog sitter! My dog is a senior dog with quite a few specific needs - meds, food, etc. Noah was so wonderful! He did everything I asked and more. I know my dog was in great hands and that he truly cared about her. Thank you for taking the stress out of leaving for the week.”
About: I provide attentive, reliable dog walking services for pet parents who want more than just a quick walk around the block—they want someone who treats their dog’s time outside as an essential part of their overall well-being. I’ve spent my entire life around dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I bring that lifelong experience into every walk. I understand canine behavior, energy levels, and the importance of structured, enriching walks that go beyond simple exercise. My priority is always your dog’s safety, happiness, and comfort. Every walk is conducted with care, awareness, and consistency so your dog feels secure and engaged from start to finish. What you can expect: - Professional, dependable scheduling and punctual arrivals - Calm, confident handling of dogs of all temperaments - Walks tailored to your dog’s pace, energy, and needs - Full attention—no distractions, no shortcuts - Clear communication with updates and photos after each walk I believe great dog walking is about building trust—not just with the owner, but with the dog. My goal is to become a consistent, familiar presence your pet looks forward to seeing! If you’re looking for someone who treats dog walking as a craft rather than a chore, I’d love to connect! Pet care is central to both my current routine and the career I’m actively building. I am transitioning into dog walking as my full-time focus, so my schedule is intentionally structured around availability, consistency, and giving each pet my full attention. I have availability during for blocks of time each day: morning, midday, afternoon, and evening. I plan my day around these commitments rather than fitting them in around other obligations, which ensures that every walk is treated as a priority rather than an afterthought. Ultimately, pet care isn’t just part of my routine—it is the foundation of my professional path moving forward. Every dog I walk is treated with the same level of care, attention, and responsibility as if they were my own, because their safety, comfort, and happiness always come first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all provided instructions closely to maintain their normal routine and environment. I prioritize keeping each pet comfortable by respecting their established feeding schedules, walking routines, and any specific behavioral or medical needs. I make it a point to ensure they feel calm, secure, and well-attended to while their owner is away or unavailable. During walks, I focus on safe, structured, and engaging outings tailored to each dog’s energy level, temperament, and preferences. I stay fully attentive throughout the walk, maintaining control and awareness of surroundings to ensure safety at all times. I avoid distractions and prioritize a calm, confident handling style so each dog feels secure and supported. In both settings, I treat every home with care and professionalism—leaving spaces exactly as I found them and maintaining clear communication with owners as needed. My approach is built on trust, consistency, and respect for both the pet and the owner’s space. Also I have a super-loving golden retriever who loves to make new friends! So if your dog is looking for more social time, meeting Cooper is an option as well!
“Addison was absolutely amazing with Phoebe. She was very thorough in her daily updates and always provided lots of pictures. I have a more anxious cat around people and she was very good at respecting her boundaries and listening to her cues. I would definitely recommend Addison to anyone looking for someone to watch their pets while they are away :)”

About: Animals have always been a constant source of comfort and joy in my life. From the time I was born, I’ve been surrounded by pets—starting with cats, then adding a cheerful bird to the mix, and later sharing my home with multiple dogs and even a reptile. I've also had experience watching over friends and family members pets while they are away. Each experience has deepened my understanding of different animal personalities and how to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Caring for pets comes naturally to me. I’m attentive to their routines, responsive to their needs, and committed to providing a calm, nurturing environment while their owners are away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or quiet companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own and take pride in ensuring they feel secure and cared for. Beyond pets, I’m very much a homebody at heart and truly value a comfortable, cared-for space. I’m naturally clean, considerate, and compassionate toward any home I stay in. With a career in graphic design, I work fully remote, which means I have the flexibility to give plenty of time, attention, and care to your pets and home. Friends and family describe me as dependable, detail-oriented, caring, and easy to communicate with. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, keeping up with routines, and administering medications, I make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I do not offer house sitting in my own home. When house sitting for others, I take detailed notes on expectations, requirements and rules to ensure that your fur baby and your home are being cared for at the fullest capacity. Daily check-ins are provided, and i'm more than willing to do anything additional to ensure that you feel at peace while you are away.
“Darwin did a wonderful job with our 2 cats. They are so quick to respond to texts and always sent a descriptive note about how each visit went. Our cats were happy and relaxed when we arrived home again.”

About: Hi there! My name is Lauren and I love all fur babies big and small! I have been an animal lover all my life and enjoy spending time with them as much as I can. Ever since I was a young teen, I have been an avid dog walker in my neighborhood, trying to make some extra cash but also getting to spend time with dogs as I did not have my own. Since then, I have been cat sitting for the last 5 years for my family and friends when they go out of town. In most recent years, I have been dog sitting for my coworkers on the weekends. Many of my coworkers have dogs and bring them to our pet friendly office. I have become quite popular with the dogs at the office as I love to take them out and play fetch in the grass space outside. I work Monday - Thursday until 4:30 pm but I am home by 5 pm. Fridays, I am available after 12 pm. I also have open availability on the weekends. I have 2 cats of my own who enjoy their own company, but I am very happy to pet sit in your own home if you are comfortable! I will guarantee that your pet is safe when outdoors whether that be on a leash or within the safety of a fenced yard.
About: With over 8 years of experience in animal care, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of pets—including dogs, cats, rats, and even lizards! I’m confident handling pets of all ages, from playful puppies to senior companions who need a bit of extra TLC. I also have experience administering medications like pills, topical creams, and pet inhalers. I’m always happy to learn your pet’s unique routine and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I’m a student at the University of Minnesota and love spending my free time caring for animals. While my weekday schedule is limited due to classes and work, I’m fully available on Fridays and weekends and would be happy to dedicate that time to pet care. I look forward to meeting new pets and giving them the attention they deserve! Since I care for pets in their own homes, I always try to make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I stick to their usual routine—whether that means walks, meals, playtime, or meds—whatever they need to feel at ease. I know how important it is to have someone you trust in your home, so I’m always respectful of your space and do my best to leave things just as I found them (or better!). I’ll also send plenty of photo updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel reassured while you're away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and try to make the time you're gone as stress-free as possible for both of you.

“Wonderful!! Thank you so much Juliana! You gave our puppies a much needed break and on top of it, you came with such short notice on Thanksgiving Day! You’re awesome!! Mike and Claudia Wondra”

“This was our first time using Rover and Krista exceeded all of our expectations with her care of our 2 cats. She followed all of our care instructions, gave frequent and thorough updates, and made us feel confident that our cats were safe. We would absolutely work with Krista again for future trips!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a kid, frequently being asked to watch the neighbors pets. I love going for walks and am happy to go fast for energetic dogs, slow for seniors, or whatever pace the dog wants to go! I have my own 10 year old dog who I care for always. I currently work full time so I am available to walk dogs before or after regular working hours. I have my own dog so I understand the importance of getting walks in daily! I cannot take dogs into my home, but I am used to caring for a dog so I understand essentials of care that they need.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Minneapolis
Hannah was so sweet and caring towards my pet. It sounds like my cat had a good time and I felt so much better knowing she had someone great looking after her Hannah also let me know right away when I started having a maintenance emergency and was super helpful.

Bri is a genuine animal lover and brought such care while looking after our cats for us while we were away. She was detailed, kind, and flexible. We love our cats so much and we loved that we got to share their goofy and playfulness with her and felt like she genuinely cared for them and enjoyed her time with them. If you are looking for someone to care for your pet, Bri is the perfect choice! We hope to ask for her help again in the future!

Scott did a wonderful job checking in on my cat while I was out of town. Their communication was great and I appreciated the updates after each visit. My cat can be feisty when people who are not me enter our home, but Scott just went with it and I feel handled it great. I would definitely recommend and book with Scott again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
