“I took a "mini" vacation to Florida a couple weeks ago. My Havenees Poodle mix "Jackson" bonded with Judy immediately. All he wanted to do was be around her & beg for attention & belly scratches. Judy followed the meal plan & even took him to Mcdonalds (at my request) so he could have some French ? Fries! He LOVES their fries! Judy would send a picture of Jackson each day & I really enjoyed seeing his smiling face. Judy also has a big back yard for "doggie exercise" There were no issues or concerns whatsoever. When I came back from my vacation, my Jackson was in good health & was wagging his tail. Judy is great. I will definitely ? use her in the future. One word of warning...her schedule fills up FAST! About: Our home in Brooklyn Park is ready to host your pet. Having had a Great Dane for almost ten years, we are ready to watch pets in any size range. We have no dogs or cats in the home currently, but are set up to give your pet the best possible experience while you are away! We have experience with senior dogs and dietary restrictions such as raw feeding, as well as giving medications as needed. Currently, both Jackie and I work from home, so there is always someone around during the day. We live right off of a walking trail, so daily walks will be no problem. We have a fenced in yard if your pup likes to be outside. Otherwise they are welcome to hang out with us during the day on one of many dog beds, or on the couch for cuddle time.
About: I have a special interest in senior dogs. I have a 17 year old dachshund mix and a 12 year old dachshund. I have adopted hospice dogs and have been a hospice foster. I have experience as a dog foster for rescues in the Twin Cities and am also a volunteer at Animal Humane Society. I work from home and am here most of the time. No problem administering meds, including injections. I work full time from home, so I am almost always here to tend to the dogs. Caring for my own two dogs is an important part of my life and I make sure I’m always meeting their needs. I have two children who live with me 50% of the time. They are 9 and 4 and have lived with small, senior dogs their entire lives. They are very respectful of dogs and I never leave the kids with the dogs unsupervised. I’m very vigilant about how my kids interact with dogs. I have a fenced in yard and secure home in the suburbs. Boarded dogs will be treated like members of my family. I will follow requested instructions and dogs are welcome on the furniture and bed.

About: Countless friends and family have asked me to watch their pets while they're out of town especially last minute. I respect and care about each pet, trying to make them as happy and comfortable as possible. I work remotely a few days per week and available on weekends. Schedule can be flexible depending on service. Also tend to be available on holidays. When I visit a client's home, I keep it the same as when I came in. About: Doggy Daycare: My husband Mark and I are a great team and this includes caring for your dog(s)! When you entrust your dog(s) to our care you get a 2 in 1 package deal! Mark works from home and has a flexible schedule, allowing him to love on your dogs, let them out during the day, and keep their water/food bowls filled. I am also available at different parts of the week to help out. Dog Walking: I (Megan) have grown up with dogs my whole life. I also volunteered at the Animal Humane Society as a dog walker for a year, interacting with and walking many different breeds and sizes of dogs. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes, from very small dogs to very large dogs (I used to have a 90 lb Bull Mastiff named Hagrid; he was a gentle giant who doesn't understand his own size <3). We view our jobs as adapting to whatever your dog(s) need. We will follow the directions outlined for your sweet furry loves. Mark is working from home and has flexibility to spend time with your dog(s) throughout the day. Megan works outside the home on some days but will take any opportunity to love on your dog(s) as much as possible! Doggy Daycare: We have a fully fenced in yard with a three foot fence. We allow dogs on the furniture (if their parents allow it!) and they will have freedom to roam our large rambler. We always use positive reinforcement with our charges and work to build the relationships with them; this includes talking to them as people and then answering back in a voice we imagine the dogs using. :) Walking: While walking dogs I (Megan) make sure to pay attention to their needs, when they need to take a potty break, when they might be getting excited over seeing another dog or squirrel, and their overall demeanor. I will ask if you're okay with your dog(s) stopping to smell the proverbial roses or if you'd like them to stay in the heeled position and get in more exercise.

I live right across from the Coon Rapids Dam, so there are miles of walking trails right outside my door and a brand new dog park just a block away. I have dog sat often for a variety of dogs for about ten years now. I have a 12 year old westie named Merlin. We love hiking and going to dog parks and breweries together. We have a fenced in yard in the back that we take out the dogs to hang, throw a ball, or relax. Inside the house we leave it open range as long as your pup can handle no accidents, no chewing the kids' stuffies (it's hard I know!), etc. When we are gone, we do like to crate our visitors so they don't get into mischief while we are gone.

I like to give lots of cuddles to animas who want it and I typically leave shy animas alone unless I am approached. Always start with hand sniffs before applying pets.

Your booking is priority one, and is always completed before other work is done. If you are requesting house sitting, I’ll be with your pet until I have to leave to briefly care for my own pets. If your dog is well behaved, I would have no problem bringing them along with me when I run around town. If you are requesting drop in visits or dog walking, I will be able to attend your home whenever you book me. I’m available throughout the day, up until 10pm. I will be sure your pet is always in sight when going outside, or always on a leash if you do not have a fenced yard. I will take precautions to make sure your animals do not escape when I am entering or exiting the house by being aware of their presence when opening or shutting doors, or making sure to block their potential exits when I am entering or exiting. I will be sure to secure any cages, kennels or enclosures, along with your residence when I leave for any reason, assuring neither your pet will be safe while alone while also not getting into mischief.
