Safety, trust & environment

My primary goal is to make your pet feel like a cherished part of my family. I'll ask for details about their routine, including feeding schedules, favorite toys, and any quirks or anxieties they might have. Routine: I'll do my best to maintain their regular schedule for meals, potty breaks, and exercise. A consistent routine helps pets feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. Safety & Comfort: My home is a pet-safe space, with all hazards secured and a fenced yard for supervised playtime. I provide a calm and welcoming environment with designated rest areas, and I'm happy to follow any specific instructions regarding crating or sleeping arrangements. Communication: You'll receive daily updates, photos, and videos to let you know how much fun they're having and give you complete peace of mind. When I'm in your home, my focus is on maintaining your pet's routine in their familiar environment. This helps minimize stress and ensures they feel secure and happy. Consistency: I'll adhere to your pet's established schedule for feeding, medication, and bathroom breaks. We'll go on their favorite walking routes and play with their preferred toys to keep their day as normal as possible. Home Security: As a house sitter, I take the responsibility of your home's security seriously. I'll follow all your instructions for locking up, managing mail, and ensuring your property remains safe and secure. Peace of Mind: I'll provide regular photo updates and a detailed summary of each visit so you know your pet is doing well and the house is in good hands.

So helpful and attentive! Really willing to work around anything, and all the animals here are missing her already!

While I was working at a Retreat Center, Jace, Jacelyn would walk my dog throw the ball with her play with her and give her the much needed attention. I did not have time to give her during the day while I was working. My little dog, Lily became very attached to her and very much trusted her as I did. Also, Jacelyn very much enjoyed spending time with her. I think it was almost like therapy for her and and very much enjoys the company of all animals as they would walk through the woods on trails of course. Thank you let me know if you’d like any other information.

Schedule

As a freelance artist, my schedule is flexible, which gives me the perfect opportunity to spend time with the animals I adore. My days are often spent creating, but my true joy comes from the breaks I take to play with and care for pets. I've always had a special connection with animals, and I'm dedicated to making sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you're away.

Basic Pet Information First, I always get the basics down: the pet's name, age, breed, and gender. I also ask about their personality. Are they a social butterfly or a shy wallflower? Do they have any funny quirks? For example, one client's dog "sings" when they're happy, which is a great thing to know so I'm not caught off guard! Health and Safety I ask for their veterinarian's name and contact information and confirm their emergency vet clinic of choice. I also need to know about any medical conditions like allergies, arthritis, or diabetes. If they're on any medications, I get the full rundown: the name of the medicine, the dosage, how it's administered (e.g., with food, a pill pocket), and the specific times it needs to be given. Daily Routine I want to maintain the pet's regular schedule as much as possible. I ask about their feeding schedule—what time and how much food and water do they get? I also need to know their potty schedule and any specific cues they give when they need to go out. For walks, I ask about their typical exercise routine, including the length of walks and if there are any special instructions, like avoiding other dogs or people. For Walks & Drop-Ins When I'm just doing a drop-in or a walk, I focus on the logistics of getting in and out of the home. I need to know the access details, whether that's a key, a lockbox code, or a keypad number. I also ask about the leash and harness location and how to put the harness on correctly. A crucial question is how they handle walks—do they pull? Are they reactive to squirrels? Knowing these things helps me ensure a safe and enjoyable walk for everyone. I also ask if there are any other small tasks they'd like me to do, like bringing in the mail or watering plants. For Pet-Sitting For overnight stays, I get a bit more detailed. I ask about the pet's sleeping arrangements: Do they sleep in a crate, in the bed, or on a dog bed? I also confirm their nighttime routine, which can include a final potty break, a special treat, or a bit of cuddle time before bed. It's also a good idea to know about any house rules, like if they're allowed on the furniture. I also ask about where the pet's supplies are stored, like food, treats, toys, and towels.
