“Brenda and Alvin were great. They have a large fenced yard for my puppy to play in. I really appreciated the daily updates with pictures. Bailey was well taken care of.”

“Tori was well taken care of during her stay at Susie’s. Susie is delightful and enjoys keeping dogs. You can see by her enthusiasm and sense of pride in her care. Definitely will use her again.”

“I could tell Paxlee had an amazing time and was well loved. Pictures and warm notes from Katie helped make out long vacation away much easier. Thank you for loving our senior pup! ❤️”

“Nathan is absolutely amazing! I had a death in my family and my sitter bailed hours before I was suppose to leave for South Dakota. Requested him I think at 7am. He responded instantly and I was able to drop off my old girl by 10am. Truly a life saver!! My old girl has higher needs and he didn’t even blind an eye! He took notes on her behavior and went above and beyond. I can’t say enough good things about this experience and it was my first experience with rover!!”

“Apollo seemed to have a great time. He got walks and seem to integrate well with their family. He was exhausted when he got home which is the sign of a great time! Pictures were sent when I requested them as I was nervous as it was his first time away. I will definitely bring him back. Thank you for taking great care of him.”

About: We’re a young married couple with no children that love animals. We routinely do pet sitting for friends and family! We have a clean home, and I work from home so i have the time to give attention to your dog! We plan on getting a dog in the future, but right now watching other people’s pets is helping us decide on which breed we would like! We have friends that routinely travel, go on vacations and leave their dogs with us! My name is David and I have a remote job where I work from home, my wife works outside the home as an office manager at a law firm. I’m able to give attention to your pet throughout the entire day. We have a dog park close to our house that we can go for exercise. We live in a townhome with three floors, we don’t have our own pet so they will have a safe relaxing environment. They will be kept company for the entire day.
“You were amazing. You took care of my baby and kept me updated on your activities. You even agree to keep him for few more hrs due to our fight arriving late. I do appreciate you for going above and beyond for us.”

“Jennifer, Eric and their kids did a wonderful job sitting for Hiro. You could tell they are truly pet people and cared for our dog while we were away. They sent daily pics and took him on walks. Hiro can be quirky at times, but they did an amazing job playing and spending time with him. We would love to use them again in the future!”

“Julie took great care of my two dogs Ollie and Hercules. Her two big dogs were wonderful around my little dogs. The backyard is fenced and safe and I felt content leaving my dogs with her. I will be coming back.”

“Alvin had a fabulous time with Elsa and Nick. He learned how to go down stairs and jump onto the sofa. After 2 years I have never been able to teach hi. To see him happily descending stairs was a wonderful shock. It was wonderful to receive pictures, videos and updates daily. Alvin has only stayed away from me twice, and often ignores my visitors. So seeing how much he enjoyed his one on one pampering by Elsa and Nick was wonderful. I will be booking a date in May. Thanks for taking such wonderful care of him.”

“McKayla and Dillon are Star Sitters for a reason: They really care for their guests. They saw our Ozzy did not like their wood floors, so they provided rugs and towels for him to move around on! They are attentive not only to the apparent needs of their house guests, but also make them feel at home by keeping close to home schedules, providing lots of active time/walks, and include important, quiet, "family" time. They are great "pack" leaders! We couldn't be more pleased with the love and care Ozzy received, as well as the accommodations they made to help us with our travel plans. Thanks!”

“Danielle was great with our dog Sammy. She gave us morning and evening updates on how our friend was doing, along with multiple pictures. We could tell Sammy was well cared for with walks, and he was given the attention he needed. We felt she went above and beyond what is expected. The best way to explain it is that Danielle took care of our dog as if it were her own. I would highly recommend Danielle, and we will definitely look to book with her again. Brent”

“Andrew was fantastic from the moment we first met him to the moment we picked up our pooches. Organized, positive, upbeat, and attentive to the needs and differences of each pet. Thank you for making it so easy and easing my mind that our dogs were being well cared for while away. Grateful ☺️”

“Jim, Kelly and their girls were great caretakers for our pup. She came home exhausted after playing with Mazie the beautiful golden retriever each day in their great fenced yard. Highly recommend!”

“I couldn’t be happier about finding Shevon & Ian - they are a perfect fit for Loki. Very caring, very attentive and understanding of a young but very large dog’s needs (and quirks!) They have a wonderful house with a huge fenced in yard in a quiet neighborhood, and their daughter and dog Warren are equally awesome. Shevon even went out of her way between visits to help us find a new vet when Loki was struggling with a severe case of pneumonia. Can’t recommend them enough!”

“Jessica is such a fun and thoughtful sitter! She’s a great fit for our small breed pup, and we can’t wait to use her on an extended stay! Chauncey had a great time and was so exhausted that he slept the whole day. Thank you!”

“We will definitely book Nikki again! She is knowledgable, conscientious, and responsive. Her home is 100% pet-safe, and she ensures that all the animals in her care are not only getting their basic individual needs met, but also that they feel safe, loved, and have lots of healthy physical activity.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Circle Pines
Patricia and Patrick are Keaton’s Grandma and Grandpa! He makes himself right at home the second he walks in and looks forward to every visit. We never have a worry when he is in their care. I’m not sure Keaton even misses us while we are gone. Patricia sends sweet little updates everyday. We cannot thank or recommend them enough for caring for our fur baby!

Chelsea and her wonderful family were amazing! We've never been disappointed by a Rover sitter before, but our dog always acted off for a couple of days when we would get back. Chelsea is the first sitter where this did NOT happen in the slightest! Our dog didn't miss a beat and was as happy and herself as ever when we returned. She clearly not only had fun but felt secure and had a routine! Would definitely use again on our next trip to the area!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
