“We needed a last minute sitter and Anna was able to take our little guy on such a short notice. She did such a wonderful job with getting Louie adjusted as it was his first time. She sent pictures through out the day to help make us feel comfortable.”

“Another fun daycare day for my puppy at Michelle’s. After playing with the other puppy’s and running the acreage he is all tuckered out. Thank you Michelle!!”

About: I have raised dogs from pups to adults and have enjoyed them in the house all of my life. I have recently lost my last dog two weeks ago after having him for over 13 years as a rescue. The house is just too lonely and will enjoy having company again in a form of 4 legged Even though we don't have an complete enclosed yard we can provide security with dogs on a lease and always safely under our watchful supervision. We also will take 2 dogs at a time if they are from the same family. We have enclosed a section where the dogs can be outside with us . I'm currently working part-time some days when needed. My husband is home days and we're home evenings weekends. Your pet will have playtime and our attention everyday. We enclosed a fenced in arIea at our home for the dogs to go out in along with us so one of us will always be out there with the dog.we also will take 2 dogs if they are from the same family.
“Great first day with a wonderful family! This was our daycare practice day before his weekend stay next week. Brody was very happy and well cared for. We received wonderful pics and are very pleased with how it went.”

“Always takes excellent care of Loki. Dave really does it because he loves it, and that is really obvious in the way he treats Loki, and the way Loki reacts when he arrives at Dave's house (tail wagging and bursting with excitement).”

“Lincoln had such a great time with Nathan and his family. He came home very tired and slept the rest of the evening. He went for a walk and played with the kids. As a young dog it was great exposure for him. I would definitely take him back next time I need a sitter. Thanks Nathan.”

“My dog had a fantastic day. He went on two walks, played with kids, met the neighbors and watched part of the day roll by on the porch. And when I picked him up, he absolutely crashed in the back seat. Paige and family are awesome!! Can’t wait to go back.”

About: Life long pet owner, foster and caregiver. I’ve trained puppies and provided end of life care for senior dogs. Very comfortable with large dogs and even angry cats because they need love too. Comfortable giving medication as well. I work from home with a very flexible daytime schedule. I am available until 5pm daily. Would be open to chatting about scheduling if more care was needed. I have a large fenced in yard, and a friendly cat. We have lots of toys and a little dog pool. I am clean and respectful when entering your home. I enjoy a long walk almost as much as our furry friends.
“Timber had an amazing time at doggy daycare! Terry and Samantha were wonderful—you can tell they truly care about the animals. He absolutely loved playing with their dog and enjoyed non-stop fun all day. By the time he came home, he was happily worn out! I really appreciated the photo updates and check-ins throughout his stay. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!”

About: We’re a young married couple with no children that love animals. We routinely do pet sitting for friends and family! We have a clean home, and I work from home so i have the time to give attention to your dog! We plan on getting a dog in the future, but right now watching other people’s pets is helping us decide on which breed we would like! We have friends that routinely travel, go on vacations and leave their dogs with us! My name is David and I have a remote job where I work from home, my wife works outside the home as an office manager at a law firm. I’m able to give attention to your pet throughout the entire day. We have a dog park close to our house that we can go for exercise. We live in a townhome with three floors, we don’t have our own pet so they will have a safe relaxing environment. They will be kept company for the entire day.

“David was amazing! Our pup had so much fun ? David was very friendly and responsive. He even gave us some tips on training and ways we can work with our dog on obedience. Highly recommend him!”

“Luke & Aria (your sweet Doberman) thanks for providing a great afternoon for GiGi! I appreciate that they could play so well together in your fenced yard, that she had a lot of water and potty breaks and that you gave very good supervision. It was so nice to hear that you would love to take care of her again, to read your nice comments and that you provided cuddle time. You live in such a convenient location near a highway exit and other Rover clients could get a lot of errands done close to your home. We will call again.”

“Pamela was great! She welcomed a meeting before dog sitting, and asked care questions. Arlington played well with my dog, and they have a great fenced in backyard for running around!”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Circle Pines commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
