Big thank you to Nathan and family for taking Lincoln today. So happy to hear how comfortable he became today. He's a bit of a handful as you know, so thank you for all you do to make him feel anxiety free.

Pamela was great! She welcomed a meeting before dog sitting, and asked care questions. Arlington played well with my dog, and they have a great fenced in backyard for running around!

Lindsey and her family were so great! They took care of my 5 month old puppy for the day and treated her so well. Gave her lots of play time and walks and sent many updates with pictures. 10/10 would recommend them to take care of your pup!

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. Working from home in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, I’m available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and checkins. There’s no private yard, but there’s a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for some outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience and can care for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I have been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home constantly and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! I work from home most days, so I’m available all day for the pups, extra potty breaks, daytime and evening walks, play, and companionship. Once every two weeks, I may be out for a few hours at the office. I’ll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled. On Saturdays, I’m less flexible for check-in and check-out due to volunteer work (away for half the day). I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

Fernanda took great care of our dog. He was a little anxious because he had been traveling for several weeks and in lots of new places. She noticed his anxiety, and took him out in her yard to play. Perfect. He even ate a meal with her without needing special feeding (which he’d been struggling to do in new surroundings). Fernanda was easy to work with and a great communicator. I’d definitely use Fernanda again next time we’re in town.

About: I’ve loved dogs ever since I was a little girl! About two years ago I started a business out of it watching friends and family’s dogs and loved it so much I made it my career! I work with dogs full time now and absolutely love it! I’m looking to spread my love for dogs in anyway I can! I know how to handle all breeds and sizes of dogs, as I’ve worked with close to all of them! And I even have extra experience with dog grooming at well! My full time job is working with dogs so I spend about 40 hours a week with them and i absolutely love it! I would say pet care is definitely a big part of my routine! I offer both pet care in my home and my clients home! I have a friendly dog of my own at home which could keep your pup great company, if your dog isn’t comfortable with new friends we have multiple levels and can accommodate that no problem! I have crates or beds owners choice as well as lots of toys and a big yard to play in! If pet parents are looking for an at home stay I’m more than comfortable with that as well! I do great following instructions as well as keeping your pup company at home!

Luke & Aria (your sweet Doberman) thanks for providing a great afternoon for GiGi! I appreciate that they could play so well together in your fenced yard, that she had a lot of water and potty breaks and that you gave very good supervision. It was so nice to hear that you would love to take care of her again, to read your nice comments and that you provided cuddle time. You live in such a convenient location near a highway exit and other Rover clients could get a lot of errands done close to your home. We will call again.

About: We are an active family of 5. My husband and and I grew up with dogs. We added our mini boxer, Bauer, to our family over 4 years ago and we love having a one! He loves other dogs and wants to play! Our kids are constantly playing with him and wanting more dogs to join. We know the stress of leaving our Bauer with others so we thought we would open our home to helping others have a fun and safe care for their dogs when they are traveling or need help. We would love to cuddle and play with your dog anytime! My husband works from home so dogs are rarely or never alone in our home. We walk our dog twice a day, morning and afternoon! We have three active children who love to play with dogs! I am a teacher so my schedule changes during holidays and summers. We don’t have a fenced in yard but we have a big yard. We are outside with our dog 100% of the time so your pet would pet would never be alone outside. We are active so dogs get the exercise they need!

About: I’m a veterinarian with a strong background in small animal medicine and a genuine love for caring for pets of all ages. I’m comfortable administering medications, recognizing early signs of illness, and providing a safe, low stress environment. Your pet will be treated like my own, with attentive, knowledgeable care you can trust. I’m currently off for the summer, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule and provide consistent, attentive care. Pets in my home are rarely left alone for long periods, and I’m able to accommodate frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any specific routines your pet is used to. I have a fenced yard and one sweet Australian shepherd. We have a safe, pet-friendly home where your pet can feel comfortable and relaxed. I always supervise outdoor time.

About: Hello! I already love your dog :) My partner and I both work remote so we are home all day! Although we don’t have a yard that means we are out for walks FREQUENTLY to ensure everyone one gets out and smells the fresh air. Besides growing up with dogs in my home and being the family dog sitter, I volunteer frequently at a local rescue and familiar with caring for many animals. Your child will be treated like royalty! As mentioned my partner and I work remote and home all day everyday - we can accommodate to any schedule for potty breaks and feedings and plenty of play! Although there is no yard we are out frequently walking and using the restroom. Rest assured we also have the ability to keep separate if needed.

This was our first time using Rover, and Nathan made the experience seamless. He was wonderful about meeting our dog on our dog's own terms—gentle, approachable, and incredibly communicative. I really appreciated that he had a thoughtful plan to make our dog feel welcome in his home and comfortable around his other dog guests.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - New Brighton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in New Brighton on Rover is $38.85 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 1,793 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across New Brighton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your New Brighton commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,793 sitters in New Brighton, 86% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
