“Sierra was fabulous! She took great care of our pup, Zeke. Communicated well and sent a picture so we knew he was happy and healthy. Hope to book with her again soon! :)”

“Riley had a great time. Always looked content in the many pictures sent. Took a nap when he got home lol. Thanks for taking such good care of him. Sorry he barked. He hasn't made a peep since getting home. Maybe he was just talking to your pups :-)”

“Alicja was very friendly and took on my fur friend on short notice during a holiday weekend. She updated us with pictures, told us about interactions with other dogs and was very professional. I wish we were closer in distance so doggy daycare would be more feasible. We would use her again!”

“Anna was the most gracious and welcoming caregiver for Luna. We were on a 10 day trip abroad and her communication was stellar. Her home and backyard are comfortable and ideal for pups! We will definitely use Anna again!”

“Kelly and Jim were great hosts for Kap! They had great communication before and during Kaps boarding. Their home was safe, clean, and offered a huge back yard where Kap could run around with their friendly Golden Retriever. I know he was well taken care of! Thank you!”

“Laura was a fantastic sitter for our dog, Hans! We knew when we met her that Laura would do an excellent job taking care of him. She is a great communicator and you can tell she will really love your pup and give him lots of attention. She also had a great big backyard :) thanks, Laura!”

“Amy was great! This was my first time having someone watch my dog besides my parents so I was very nervous about leaving my pup with someone new. I received pictures daily and when I arrived to pick her up she was so happy and wanted to show me all the toys she's been playing with all week. She can't wait to stay with Amy and Danielle again!”

“Stan is such a kind and attentive sitter and made our dog feel right at home. He asked great questions before, sent wonderful updates, and took our pup on lots of walks and gave him lots of play time outside. His yard and home are a great location, and his two dogs were awesome companions. Would highly recommend!”

“Robert was the BEST Rover we have ever had!!! I cannot recommend him enough 😃 Our dog, Archie, had a great time staying with him and got lots of love, attention, and walkies 🐾 Robert sent such fun updates, pictures, and videos that we loved getting and made us smile so much while away from our little guy 🤍 We will definitely be booking with him anytime we need to board Archie again in the future. I would give him 10 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Megan and her family are absolutely WONDERFUL. My pup Lily loves going to their home. They keep her active, snuggled, and cared for. Megan sends great updates, so I never have to worry about Lily when she's there. Best sitters ever!”

“We had an excellent experience with Cait and Tim! Our pup didn’t have good manners when meeting their family dog but they didn’t seem to be worried. He eventually settled in and he had a great time for his overnight. He was so tired the following day from all the activity at their house. We’d never used a service like this before. We would recommend them 100%!”

“This is my second time using Anna on Rover. Anna was great with my dog. My dog gets along very well with her dogs. Anna sent over pictures daily along with communication. I feel comfortable with dropping my dog off to her. Mylo will be back soon.”

“Paige is so wonderful!! Clover loves to stay with Paige and her family, and gets all the love, attention, play and snuggles that she gets at home plus extra walks! ;)”

“Brody's first weekend with Brianna and her family was wonderful! We got lots of pics and videos (which we shared with some guests at our son's wedding - a big hit when people asked where Brody was staying!). Brody especially loves Brianna's daughter and follows her everywhere. We are so thankful we chose this family and will be using again!”

About: I have had dogs most of my life and have always been a responsible owner. I know how important it is for dogs to get exercised and stimulated. I work during the week during normal business hours but my adult son is with me and would see to it that your dog is taken care of during that time. He is also a dog lover and is very responsible and used to volunteer with the humane society. I would be attending to your dog in the evenings and early morning. I am available throughout the weekends. My back yard is not fenced and is adjacent to green space. I would make sure that your dog is walked regularly with a leash (at least twice a day).
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Vadnais Heights is $45
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Vadnais Heights
Shevon and Ian took excellent care of my poodle, Basca. They even set aside a request to watch another dog because it was her first time and she can get overwhelmed. And they understood about her being a flight risk. They sent me pictures and reports every day. In addition to all of this, they’re just as nice as they can be. I absolutely recommend them! -Tracy Wilson

Both of them were very attentive and knowledgeable about dog behaviors. They took time to notice specifically how each dog operates and adapted accordingly. Both of our dogs were well taken care of and tuckered out from so much fun and play! Excited for our dogs to visit again next time!

Zeek is the best - he took care of our 3.5 month bernedoodle and he was so kind and loving. He clearly loves dogs and is excited to spend time with them, which is amazing. He sent multiple daily updates and our puppy loved him. We will definitely be booking with Zeek again.

So grateful we found Eryn! She is not a typical dog sitter. She both loves and understands high energy dogs on a professional level. Our exuberant, mouthy young lab had a wonderful time. It provides so much peace of mind on vacation knowing our dog is enjoying herself as much (maybe more) than we are.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
