About: I’ve had all sorts of animals in my life and always have enjoyed the love and care an animal is able to give us! My dad and I had an amazing black lab, Willie, while I was growing up. When Willie got older, I helped with some of his senior care such as changing his diapers. My dad and I also had two guinea pigs while I was in high school, they were so fun and I loved how much personality they had. My mom was in the Southern area of the states for about a year, and ended up coming back to Minnesota with two cats and moved in with me! I partner with my mom for their every-day care (feeding, cleaning litter box, cutting nails) often. I have also cat-sat for my friend, whose kitty had just gotten several teeth removed - so she needed some oral medications while I was caring for her. This included pill and syringe medications. As for pets that are solely my own, I have a 5-year-old horse named Atlas that I purchased after graduating from college. He has been such an amazing learning experience and I appreciate our partnership so much. I also recently adopted a third cat for our home, Marvin, who is a tripod kitty. It’s been amazing seeing him getting more comfortable in our home. I currently work full-time, and have a bit of a varying schedule day-to-day but am often out of the house for 8+ hours a day. For this reason I’m unsure if house-sitting dogs would be a great fit for my weekday schedule unless they were close by to my work, where I could stop by during my lunch and give them a potty break. Otherwise could totally do weekends! My work schedule typically hasn’t been obstructive to cat care, unless the cat is fed in small portions more than twice a day. Then, I may need to stop in during my lunch break - or find another way to split their feedings appropriately. I strive to care for any pet just as their owner would. I do know some animals are wary of strangers and I will respect your pet’s boundaries - so if they seem shy or nervous about me, I will absolutely give them space. If an animal is social and excited, I am more than happy to give pets, cuddle, and play! Additionally, more than happy to clean up any litter boxes (cats) or outside excrement (dogs).

About: I've loved animals all my life. I got my first puppy when I was about 13 years old, full of pre-teen enthusiasm for learning all about dog behavior and puppy training strategies. Now that my own beloved dog is no longer with us, I've found myself wishing I had more opportunities to connect with animals on a regular basis. I've taken every chance I could to pet sit for friends and acquaintances over the years, but recently I realized that I could also be using Rover to make pet care a more regular part of my life! Since I'm also meant to share something here that makes me "stand out" as a sitter, I'll say that animals do tend to feel particularly safe and relaxed around me. If I were to take a guess as to why that is, I think I would say that it's probably a combination of: 1) genuinely loving pets and wanting to have a positive interaction with them, 2) not bringing anxious energy into the room, which I think is something that most pets can sense, and 3) knowing enough about animal behavior to not escalate any existing anxieties or aggression. As someone who has had a beloved pet, I know how important it is to find someone to care for your pet that you can trust to accommodate their particular needs, and to create a safe, happy environment for them while you're away. If you'll trust me to be that person, then nothing would make me happier than to give your pet an amazing visit, walk, or staycation! I work full time (8 hours M-F) in Arden Hills, but I have a fairly flexible work schedule. My preference for pet care would be to mostly fit it in before and after work (my hours can usually be adjusted based on a pet's daily schedule), but I also have the flexibility to pop out for short walks in the middle of the day, if needed. I can also work from home if absolutely necessary, but I would not wish to do that frequently. I am not able to host pets in my home at this time, but if I can come and care for your pets at their own home, I am happy to follow whatever instructions you give for how to make your pet feel happy and safe and cared for during your absence! I am a careful instruction follower, so I will refer back to any information you can give me about what your pet is accustomed to when you are home, and how you would like me to care for them when you're gone. If you feel nervous at all about leaving them, I'm also more than happy to send regular updates to you about how they are doing!

About: I've loved and taken care of animals since I was about 3 years old. I always asked to be the one to feed the dog before dinner! I have 2 cats, who are my world. I have a lot of experience with dogs, and have a chihuahua named RiotGrrl. I love dogs. My family has always had dogs, and i once lived in a home where I helped care for 6 dogs, a cat and a rat. I have 30 ywars of pet care experience and 20 years of sitting experience. I'm able to do overnight sitting in your home, walks and baths! Meal times too, of course. I would love to make your pup or cat my new fuzzy best friend! I'm currently free full time for pet care! I'm available for walking and pet sitting for holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas etc). I do same day booking for walks and drop ins, but require notice for in home sittings. I prefer to watch animals in their own home, so they are the comfiest they can be. My apartment doesnt allow me to board unfortunately. I will completely stick to your pets normal daily schedule while they are in my care.

About: I have my own German Shepherd I have had since she was 6 months. As well as having been around dogs a good portion of my life, I do my best to be what she needs I work very part-time at a dominoes, usually only 4-8 hours a week, i do have appointments on Tuesdays, lasting only about 2 hours so I am always home and have plenty of time for your beloved doggos I do not have a fenced yard, but I do have a firmly secured tie-out and extra leashes for outside potty breaks and/or walks, as well as a 5 year old German Shepherd (she is spade) Who is very happy and animal friendly

We have had Gabby stay for overnights about 4 times now and our kitties are exceptionally well cared for as well as our home. She was also very accommodating with our potential plane schedule change during the shutdown, so we knew that our kitties would not be alone if we couldn’t make it home.
