Welcome to House of Bark! We are full-time pet care professionals who host a few well-mannered dogs at a time in our smoke-free home, with plenty of secure fenced in oasis and individual attention for everyone! Your pup will receive plenty of pets and cuddles, care tailored to your them and all of the backyard play with our dog Arya that they can handle! Consider it an extended play date for your dog. We will also provide regular photos and updates so that you know that your pup is acclimating well. We usually have more than one dog staying with us at a time! If you’re looking for totally solo boarding, another sitter may be a better match. We can't wait to make your pup apart of our extended family :)

Our dog decided to be a bit skittish and Luke and Rachel were so patient and kind. They were buddies by the end of the stay. Luke and Rachel kept me updated as well, which was so nice! Thank you!

I opted to not do a meet and greet with Luke, and regret that. When we dropped my dog off it was relatively early, and Luke was neither welcoming nor communicative as we stood awkwardly in the backyard, where we were asked to meet him. I was uncomfortable enough that I didn't share as much information as I normally do about Cooper, and the end result was not great for anyone. I did not get many updates, and other than an incident with marking, the two updates I did receive were short but indicated Cooper was doing well. So it was a surprise to arrive to pick Cooper up (again asked to enter the backyard and not knock on the door) and be informed he had been anxious and acted out in ways that may have been destructive. I don't know if he was well cared for (walked, played with, did he eat, where did he sleep?) as I didn't get any specific information and the two photos just showed him laying alone in the yard. The escapism behavior he exhibited is not something we've experienced with other sitters. So I think this may not have been a good match.
Very easy drop off, communication & pick up! Benny had a great weekend.

Schedule
This is Luke's full-time occupation, so his schedule is wide open to play with your pups! Rachel also works from home two days a week, so we both are home a lot!

We ensure that we adhere to your pet’s regular feeding, walking, and sleeping schedule. We offer a pet-proofed space with cozy bedding, a fenced in backyard, fresh water, and toys! Lots of love, attention, and snuggles will be provided in order to ease separation anxiety!

We have a fenced in backyard that is perfect for lots of fetch and playtime! We also have some doggy puzzles to stimulate your pup.
