“Allene took such good care of my bb Sloane! She sent great recaps and the cutest photos each day. She also has two wonderful pups that offered Sloane a lot of friendship and play during her stay and they were gentle with her since she’s little! Would definitely book Allene again!”

“Julie and Jesse have been amazing with my senior dog, Etta. This was Etta’s fourth stay, and each time I appreciate receiving timely updates and know that Etta is well cared for and in a loving home when I am gone. I would recommend Julie and Jesse without reservation. They are great!”

“I was extremely happy with Louie’s Christmas stay with Jennifer and her family. She took the best care of him and he felt right at home. I was completely at ease my whole trip. She also communicated really well and sent photos the whole time!”

“We did a trial overnight and our Murray came home calm and content. As a senior dog he can take a little longer to settle down in new situations. Theresa and Mike communicated openly about how he adjusted.”

“Nicole was excellent! She was kind, capable and connected with our anxious pup almost instantly. I can tell she took great care of him, he came home happy and content. Nicole was also really communicative and thoughtful to give us updates on how he was doing. I would definitely recommend!”

“Claire went above and beyond while taking care of my dog! I had to book with her last minute, and I’m so glad that I did and she was available. She walked my reactive dog, hand fed him because of his anxiety, and took great care of him for the whole day. She updated me every couple hours and sent pictures. I’ll be booking again!”

“Sarah was the best! I don't think we have had any friends or relatives who have been so attentive to our unique personality dog. Sarah was great about sending pictures. Ellie had a great time running in Sarah's giant yard. Ellie was part of the family. This is evidenced by how Sarah's girls bid farewell to Ellie. They were so tender. We hope to employ Sarah in the future. We already feel she is part of Ellie's family.”

“Megan and her family were so amazing and attentive to our sweet girl Millie! She had so much fun and loved on so much that she didn’t want to come home lol. We are so thankful that Millie was in good hands while we traveled!”

“Chloe stayed with Meagan for 4 days/3 nights and was well-cared for in a loving home. Meagan sent me many photos of a happy Chloe interacting with her dachshund and a few other dogs she was dog-sitting. I was relieved that Chloe, a cocker spaniel who can be high-strung around unfamiliar dogs, seemed to be enjoying everything--dogs, house, and yard. Meagan was skilled with making the introductions and interaction among the four dogs there go smoothly.”

“Ashley is a responsible and smart pet sitter. Teo learned to behave and socialize with dogs. She sent pictures almost every day during the 2 weeks Teo stayed. Teo was happy with her and her dogs. I recommend Ashley to my family and friends for pet sitting.”

“Maxi (my girl cat) loved staying at Mario's. I was afraid she wouldn't want to come home. He played with her, fed her, groomed her, treated her like royalty. I definitely will have him babysit my girl again.”

“Susie was very welcoming and happy to host Archie! She has a great space and is very mindful of each dog's needs. Archie was exhausted after all of the playing. Thank you, Susie!”

“Hands down, Dynette is the best pet sitter I have ever used! She went above and beyond with my dog! She kept me informed and sent me pictures throughout the week and I have never been on a trip and felt so at ease about leaving my dog! I knew that my dog was in great hands and getting lots of love! I was so pleased that I am booking her for another vacation in a few months!”

“Tristan took excellent care of my boy Hank on short notice. She was super friendly and accommodating to my schedule. I will absolutely book with her again:-)”

“Jessica was the best! After a bit of a fiasco with another sitter, Jessica came through last minute and was a great back up. I will absolutely book her again. Our dog came home absolutely exhausted, but so happy, and we can't thank her enough for helping us out this weekend!”

“I’ve never left my Smudge before. Kaitlyn you are a God send! Thank you for the videos to reassure me that he was happy. He obviously loves you! I will only call you for my baby! Highly recommend you for anyone that is nervous about leaving their pet!! ❤️”

“Stan has an ideal place to host a dog, a huge backyard, part of it landscaped and part of it wooded with trails, and all securely fenced. Zoe loves to be outside and had a blast staying with Stan and his two very friendly dogs. Stan was very meticulous about gathering any important information about Zoe at the Meet & Greet before the boarding. Also, he loves dogs and his house is very dog friendly-- many dog beds for lounging, and a carte blanche for Zoe to venture about the house. I appreciated the photos, videos, and insightful updates that he provided during Zoe's stay.”

“Erin was an amazing sitter for our dog Artie! She sent lots of photo updates and it was clear he was having a great time with her and Eggsy. Thank you Erin for taking such good care of him! I’m sure he will be back :)”

“Katie did an awesome job taking care of Copper! She did a great job sending updates that included pics and videos. Could tell that he had a great time with her! Would highly recommend.”

“Dave is exceptional! He was extremely patient and kind with my two dogs, as they both require extra patience, as one is very old and one is a barky two-year-old. We felt that our elderly and very young dogs were in excellent hands with Dave. He is also a great communicator and responds quicky with any questions. Thank you so much, Dave!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Little Canada
Both of them were very attentive and knowledgeable about dog behaviors. They took time to notice specifically how each dog operates and adapted accordingly. Both of our dogs were well taken care of and tuckered out from so much fun and play! Excited for our dogs to visit again next time!

Shevon and Ian did a great job watching my dog on two separate occasions while I was on vacation! I get anxious leaving my pup with someone new, but they were fantastic about sending updates and asking all the right questions, so I was quickly put at ease. They have a great backyard setup, and my dog had so much fun hanging out with their pup and the family! Will definitely reach out again in the future!

This was about the fourth time that Debbie and Mike dog sat for Bella who is now 15 years old. Bella enjoyed roaming around in a fenced yard. Debbie is an excellent dog sitter and keeps you informed daily how things are going for your dog. Enjoyed daily photos from her. Eased our stress wondering about our dog which made our vacation enjoyable. Hoping to have Debbie and Mike to sit for our dog next year.

Zeek is the best - he took care of our 3.5 month bernedoodle and he was so kind and loving. He clearly loves dogs and is excited to spend time with them, which is amazing. He sent multiple daily updates and our puppy loved him. We will definitely be booking with Zeek again.

This is our second time booking with Vanessa, and I truly love how caring she is with dogs. I always feel confident that my pups are safe, happy, and having a great time when they stay with her. We often leave them for long trips, so having that peace of mind knowing they’re in such loving and reliable care means everything to us. I recommend her 100%

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
