“Elizabeth was great to work with and took great care of my pups! I got updates everyday and pictures without having to ask. The pups came back happy and looking great! Will book again!”

“Susie was great! Hank had a wonderful time playing with her dog, and another dog she was sitting. He came home wiped out from all the running around in her backyard.”

“Debbie and Mike took great care of our dog while we were away and kept us updated with plenty of pictures. They were flexible with our last minute request and were very responsive. We would absolutely use them again!”

“Teresa, Mike, and family took great care of our 2yr old dog, and we are very grateful. Lots of fun playtime with their dog and we appreciated the updates on how the stay was going. Thank you, Teresa and Mike!”

“Robert was incredible to work with. He picked up and dropped off Woofly for us and sent lots of pictures during his stay. He was easy to communicate with and took great care of our pup. We’d happily send Woofly back to him again. Thank you, Robert!”

“Erin was wonderful and provided updates with photos and video throughout our trip. Our dog seemed to have the best time. We will definitely use Erin again for future trips!”

“Sarah was the best! I don't think we have had any friends or relatives who have been so attentive to our unique personality dog. Sarah was great about sending pictures. Ellie had a great time running in Sarah's giant yard. Ellie was part of the family. This is evidenced by how Sarah's girls bid farewell to Ellie. They were so tender. We hope to employ Sarah in the future. We already feel she is part of Ellie's family.”

“My Lumi had a great time at Dave’s. She can be shy of new people but she took to him right away! You can tell how much he truly loves and cares about animals. If you’re looking for someone to watch your dog, I would 100% recommend Dave. I will definitely be reaching out to him in the future!”

“The best rover sitter we’ve had so far! We have a high energy dog, and their family gave Winnie all of the love and care while we were gone! Thank you for watching her! We also appreciated the updates and pictures.”

“Zeek is awesome. He is quick to communicate, takes great care of our dog, and our dog loves him. On our last trip, after our return flight was canceled, Zeek saved us by keeping our dog safe and happy beyond the scheduled time. He's the best.”

“Ashley did a wonderful job watching my goldendoodle Crosby! She sent an update and/or picture everyday to let us know what kind of activities they got up to each day. I was very happy with how much exercise she gave Crosby, sometimes I was worried that he was having so much fun that he wouldn't even want to come home! Knowing that Crosby was in such good hands with Ashley while I was gone gave me a lot of peace of mind.”

“Emily did a wonderful job caring for Milo during our time away. So appreciated the day to day details of Milo’s time along with the pictures of him having a great time. Thank you again Emily!!!🎉☺️”

Shevon and Ian did a great job watching my dog on two separate occasions while I was on vacation! I get anxious leaving my pup with someone new, but they were fantastic about sending updates and asking all the right questions, so I was quickly put at ease. They have a great backyard setup, and my dog had so much fun hanging out with their pup and the family! Will definitely reach out again in the future!

Jessica was the best! After a bit of a fiasco with another sitter, Jessica came through last minute and was a great back up. I will absolutely book her again. Our dog came home absolutely exhausted, but so happy, and we can't thank her enough for helping us out this weekend!

This was about the fourth time that Debbie and Mike dog sat for Bella who is now 15 years old. Bella enjoyed roaming around in a fenced yard. Debbie is an excellent dog sitter and keeps you informed daily how things are going for your dog. Enjoyed daily photos from her. Eased our stress wondering about our dog which made our vacation enjoyable. Hoping to have Debbie and Mike to sit for our dog next year.

Zeek is the best - he took care of our 3.5 month bernedoodle and he was so kind and loving. He clearly loves dogs and is excited to spend time with them, which is amazing. He sent multiple daily updates and our puppy loved him. We will definitely be booking with Zeek again.

This is our second time booking with Vanessa, and I truly love how caring she is with dogs. I always feel confident that my pups are safe, happy, and having a great time when they stay with her. We often leave them for long trips, so having that peace of mind knowing they’re in such loving and reliable care means everything to us. I recommend her 100%

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
