“Catherine was absolutely wonderful! This was Zuri's first time staying away from home and Catherine went above and beyond to make her feel at home. Catherine sent daily updates and photos, which were much appreciated, and lots of special treats and special love were given. Zuri also enjoyed having another dog to play with, as she is an only child. I would highly recommend Catherine and will definitely use her again.”

“How do They get so many adorable photos? Our dog sees us reach for the camera and stops whatever adorable thing she’s doing. Then she goes to Kelsey and Jordan’s and turns into a model!”

“My dog was well cared for - even pampered by being allowed to sleep on the humans' bed. She came home happy and a little tired after a weekend with Danielle's 2 much younger, more active, but very gentle dogs. Danielle has a very large, secure yard for the dogs to play in and explore. Between the outdoor space and the young dogs to play with, Flicka got lots of good exercise.”

“Kristen and her family are wonderful. Leo was happy to come home but seemed to have bene well cared for. There's love and activity at their home. We are glad they are close by.”

“Zoe was so excited to return to Stan's and to greet him and his two dogs, that she didn't even give me her sad eyed goodbye that usually comes when she realizes that I am leaving her. Stan shared videos of Zoe playing outside and text message updates of her adventures, and I could tell that she was having a wonderful time. thanks again Stan!”

“Ellen was friendly and our dog loved her time there. Ellen was great in keeping us updated on how our dog was doing. Would definitely seek Ellen out for future stays.”

“Nichole & Jacob took great care of our dog. They were very responsive with communication both before and during his boarding. I will definitely be using them for future boarding needs.”

“Remy and Walter had their first overnight. It was great. They came home happy and tired. Lots of photos and a couple of videos made it look like they felt at home. Will be back in a couple of weeks for a longer stay.”

“Crosby came home exhausted, which was needed as we were tired from our trip! He had plenty of outside time and play time. Really appreciated that Jessica has a fence! Will book with her again!”

“If a ten star rating was available, that is what Betsy would be getting. Betsy took great care of our Roscoe. Updated us with pics while we were away. Roscoe was very comfortable with Betsy. Highly recommend Betsy's sitting services. Thank you again”

“McKenzie took great care of our dog, Lulu! Our dog is shy and she alleviated any stress we had leaving her. She was accommodating to her medications and helped her make some new doggie friends. We will definitely use her again!”

“Carrie clearly gave Leo good care. She sent me pics and gave reports that showed me she was paying attention. Leo was happy when we returned. I would be happy to use Carrie again”

“Julie and her family were amazing with our two little puppies. She sent lots of updates and ask questions when needed. The puppies were sad to come home but I am so glad to have them home safe and well cared for why we were enjoying our vacation. Her kids were amazing with them and would definitely use them again in the future.”

“If I need care for my yellow lab again in the future, I wouldn't want to take her anyplace else! I appreciated Nicole and David's "meet and greet" so all of us could be sure it was a good situation for her. Nicole and David are lovely people, and my dog was well-cared for.”

“Our puppy had a great time playing with Kirsten and her family! I would feel more than comfortable having our pup stay with her again. Kirsten sent pictures and updates. She replied to messages in a reasonable amount of time.”

“Our dog Louie is occasionally leash reactive and aggressive with other dogs. He also was adjusting to life changes at our house and has some anxiety. We needed a sitter who could meet his needs and Bethany was great! She was also available on short notice and a great communicator both prior to and during his stay. We absolutely will use her again and know Louie had a great time!”

Mario and I had a meet and greet about a week before she took care of Zoey. Mario is friendly and gave me an overview of what he would do for Zoey. After seeing him with Zoey, I was convinced that Mario was the right person to care for her. Zoey can be anxious around strangers. When I picked her up, she was calm and I could sense that she had been treated well. I appreciated the photos that Mario sent to me.
We couldn't have asked for a better sitter! Our dog has rear paralysis and requires extra care, and they went above and beyond to learn his routine and make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. Their patience, compassion, and attention to detail gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend them, especially if your pet has special needs!

Katie was especially attentive and caring toward Cleo, who came down with some type of sickness and needed medication. Katie was kind enough to go to Cleo's vet to pick up medication and administer it, while also dealing with the messes Cleo was leaving behind while sick. We are deeply grateful for Katie's decency and patience while we were not there to care for Cleo while she was ill. Katie went above and beyond!

Angela did a great job with Yoda. The thunderstorms and fireworks made him a bit nervous, but Angela handled it well, and he did fine. She was very responsive, kept us updated with pictures, and was quite flexible and went out of her way to accommodate a change in our pickup plans. We would certainly have Yoda stay with her again.
Simon was able to cuddle and pet AJ the first night! The cat is very cautious and skittish but took to Simon. He carefully followed his feeding schedule and was very attentive to AJ's needs. Simon is a delight and if needed in the future, I'll request that he is the sitter.
This was about the fourth time that Debbie and Mike dog sat for Bella who is now 15 years old. Bella enjoyed roaming around in a fenced yard. Debbie is an excellent dog sitter and keeps you informed daily how things are going for your dog. Enjoyed daily photos from her. Eased our stress wondering about our dog which made our vacation enjoyable. Hoping to have Debbie and Mike to sit for our dog next year.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
