“Angela is my dog's new bestie. He did not want to leave her house. It's clear he was treated well and felt safe and happy. She sent me daily pics and made me feel so comfortable leaving him with her. He was, and will be again, in good hands.”

“Kyle took such good care of my baby Reba! Kyle had high communication with me regarding an ear infection that my pup was struggling with and even took her to the vet when she needed to be seen. My pup was at Kyle’s for over a week and had the happiest demeanor when I picked her up. It was clear to me that she was treated well and had a good time. I’ll definitely use Kyle again for Reba’s care.”

“Steven did an excellent job with my dogs. They were happy and healthy when I picked them up. He was really communicative and I appreciated the updates while I was away.”

“Lisa was incredibly communicative and took great care of our dog. We were on vacation for two weeks and she sent updates and photos all through our trip so we had zero concerns while we were away. We highly recommend Lisa and would use her again in a heartbeat.”
“Michelle is a wonderful and caring animal-lover! Rest easy trusting your furry family member with Michelle. My dog had a great "vacation" with her and came home content and calm. Highly recommended!”

“Takenya was amazing! My dog had some behavior issues come up and she handled them perfectly! Excellent communication and plenty of photos and videos to share to ensure I didn’t stress about the issues. These really helped me enjoy the work conference I was attending without stressing :) Mountain was a very happy camper after staying with Takenya. Her home was very clean and quiet!”

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ashley is Incredible! Ashley watched our French Bulldog, Blue Bell, for 5 days, and she was absolutely wonderful! Frenchies definitely come with their own unique quirks and big personalities, but Ashley didn't skip a beat. She completely embraced Blue Bell's quirkiness and made sure she felt comfortable, happy, and loved the entire time. It is such a relief to find a sitter who truly understands and appreciates your dog's individual personality. Ashley is a genuine dog lover—reliable, attentive, and is very knowledgeable about different types of dogs. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-tier care!”

“Mike did such a great job with our furbaby, Kenzy. We loved getting the picture updates, and came back to a happy, exhausted pup. We will definitely use Mike again.”

“Gratitude! Sweet Peas first time at Elizabeth’s and I couldn’t be happier. Sweet Pea and I met Elizabeth and her family before the 12 day stay. I felt that I was meeting with my neighbor who was taking care of Sweetie before I left town. Yes, that is how comfortable it is to be with her and in her home. I received great photos and communication about how the stay was going. Sweetie had a medical issue come up while she was with Elizabeth. Elizabeth let me know, in detail, what happened. Her nursing background gave me piece of mind and (only) a guess of what happened. I give Elizabeth and her family a 5 star review and will continue to have her care for Sweet Pea when l am out of town.”

“Jessica and her husband were great. My dog has separation anxiety, but she was in no hurry to leave their home. And, she's been relaxed since her stay with them. Communication was great. I will definitely use Jessica again!”
“Lyn was wonderful! It was our first time leaving Dede with anyone outside our family and her pictures and updates made it so easy to feel comfortable and confident Dede was getting along. As an older dog, Lyn was so flexible at adapting to what Dede needed and gave her all the belly rugs and treats to make her feel loved and at home while we were away. Thanks so much Lyn!”

“Claire helped me out so much! This was my first time using Rover and she made it stress free! She updated me everyday and when I had traveling problems she was able to take Milo for another night without any hesitation 🙂 Milo even had trouble leaving when I picked him up he had so much fun with her. 1000% recommend to anyone!!”

“Anna took excellent care of Casey for an extended stay. Our dog is nervous in new settings and Anna knew exactly how to make her feel comfortable and ease her into her new surroundings.”

“It was a pleasure to meet Ashley, and I couldn't have asked for better care for Miley, our pup. Ashley walked her several times a day, encouraged me to bring Miley's bed and comfort items to make the home familiar and comfortable, and sent pictures during the week. We returned home to a dog that was happy to see us, but clearly comfortable and well cared for. Our thanks to Ashley, we will look forward to having her care for Miley in the future.”
“Wonderful, as always!! I get pics every day from Matt and Susie, and I can always count on them for easy communication and to show Annie a good time :)”

“Great care. Krista always keeps us updated on the day to day activities with short texts and several photos a day. Great choice for care if your dog enjoys company and playtime with other dogs as well!”

“Noelle was amazing and the dogs really enjoyed their time with her! They came back happy and tired from all the running around in the yard. Noelle was very kind and kept me up to date with the pups. Will definitely look her way for future sitting needs 😊”

“Tobi had a great time with Brooklyn and her family. He loved their little girl and got along great with their gentle Bernese Mountain Dog. I received updates once or twice a day with cute photos. Brooklyn was accommodating of my request to change the pickup time. We look forward to having Tobi stay with Brooklyn again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Paul
I felt so at ease after meeting Michelle. Our pup is an almost 2 year old rescue that we adopted 4 months ago. This was the first time leaving here other than an intro at a daycare center. Michelle is friendly and seems to really love dogs. She was very diligent about learning our dog’s routine, likes and dislikes. Our pup seemed happy when we picked her up, and even taking her back for her first “over night” stay our pup seemed secure in being left in Michelle’s care.

Bridget is wonderful! She took excellent care of my dog, Saoirse, and sent lots of lovely pictures. She let me change my drop off and pick up days, was very very accommodating as my plans changed, and let me pick Saoirse up for evening walks (I was staying in the area in an apartment that does not allow dogs). Great care, very kind.

Mario did a great job with taking care of my dog Bianka while I was out of town for the week. He gave her all her medication She needed no issues there, and he took Bianka on mini walks and sent me videos and text and photos updating me of how my dog was doing I would definitely have him babysit my dog again.
Our dog was happy and safe for 3 nights at Carrie's! She is a dog-loving person who works at home -- companionship for dogs guaranteed! Also, Carrie loves to take neighborhood walks and walk at a nearby lake, so our dog benefitted from those outside jaunts. We are so glad to have Carrie nearby!

Roberta was genuinely a life saver for me this week. My cat was recovering from a surgery and while she was with Roberta, she got sick again. Roberta kept me up to date and without a question took her into the vet so that they could make sure everything was okay. I am so so grateful for Roberta’s help and care for my baby!

Andrea is amazing! I was anxious about the idea of boarding for my dog. She’s dealing with a knee injury and is also very nervous around new people. Andrea made both my dog and I feel at ease right away. She was comfortable giving her meds for her knee when needed and adjusting her activity level to keep her from overtaxing her injury. She sent regular updates and even did some much needed grooming/brushing. I can tell that my dog was loved and cared for in my absence. I will definitely be a repeat client!

Simon is GREAT! Not only did he take my last minute request, but he communicated the entire time! Simon sent pics and videos, which kept my mind at ease. Best of all, Muffin returned healthy and very happy! I could tell he had THE TIME OF HIS LIFE with Simon! Thank you, Sir, for taking such great care of my baby! We found the BEST sitter in the Twin Cities! Highly recommend!

We couldn't have asked for a better sitter! Our dog has rear paralysis and requires extra care, and they went above and beyond to learn his routine and make sure he was comfortable and well cared for. Their patience, compassion, and attention to detail gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We highly recommend them, especially if your pet has special needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
