“Andrea was great! My dog Juno is pretty shy of new people and takes a couple of medications. Andrea took everything in stride - she took Juno to the dog park and Juno made a new BFF with one of her other visiting dogs. She sent updates everyday - with photos/videos. I’ll definitely be bring Juno back”

“Kelsey and Jordan are phenomenal! My pup was thoroughly pampered throughout the week she stayed with them. From start to finish, Kelsey communicated super promptly and professionally. “Zoe was so excited to return to Stan's and to greet him and his two dogs, that she didn't even give me her sad eyed goodbye that usually comes when she realizes that I am leaving her. Stan shared videos of Zoe playing outside and text message updates of her adventures, and I could tell that she was having a wonderful time. thanks again Stan!”

“Carrie is amazing! My second time using her, first time booking for dog sitting in her house. Millie seemed to have a great time. Great communication and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Carrie! Thank you so much!”

“Claire went above and beyond while taking care of my dog! I had to book with her last minute, and I’m so glad that I did and she was available. She walked my reactive dog, hand fed him because of his anxiety, and took great care of him for the whole day. She updated me every couple hours and sent pictures. I’ll be booking again!”

Meeko was well taken care of. Her house and back yard are a safe space for him. Thank you Betsy! We appreciate you so much !!!!”

“Debbie and her family were nothing short of amazing while taking care of our two boys. We got to do a meet and greet prior to our trip and got daily updates/pics while on our trip. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Paul
Sadie had a blast with Jaley and Ozzie! They have a dog-friendly home and welcomed Sadie’s high energy as she ran all over the house exploring. They even took her on vacation. Sadie was there over a holiday weekend and got to enjoy a trip to the cabin (a Labrador retriever’s dream vacation) during her stay. Sadie ended up with a minor injury during the cabin trip (no one’s fault). It happened on the eve of a long holiday weekend way up North and Jaley took her straight to the vet to get checked out before they closed. She notified me immediately and kept me updated on the vet visit and subsequent treatment. Sadie couldn’t go in the lake afterward and Jaley found alternatives for her to get her energy out. Jaley is a flexible, fun and experienced dog sitter, and Ozzie is a lovable boy, so whether you have a HIGH-energy dog like mine, a couch potato, or somewhere in between, your dog will be loved and well-cared for at their house.

Angela did a great job with Yoda. The thunderstorms and fireworks made him a bit nervous, but Angela handled it well, and he did fine. She was very responsive, kept us updated with pictures, and was quite flexible and went out of her way to accommodate a change in our pickup plans. We would certainly have Yoda stay with her again.
Simon was able to cuddle and pet AJ the first night! The cat is very cautious and skittish but took to Simon. He carefully followed his feeding schedule and was very attentive to AJ's needs. Simon is a delight and if needed in the future, I'll request that he is the sitter.
Kristina was amazing. Her flexibility with our schedule and her very apparent love for what she does is so clear and comforting for us as we leave her in complete care of our beloved family member. We highly recommend Kristina as an excellent resource for the care and well being of your pet.

This was about the fourth time that Debbie and Mike dog sat for Bella who is now 15 years old. Bella enjoyed roaming around in a fenced yard. Debbie is an excellent dog sitter and keeps you informed daily how things are going for your dog. Enjoyed daily photos from her. Eased our stress wondering about our dog which made our vacation enjoyable. Hoping to have Debbie and Mike to sit for our dog next year.

Andrea was amazing and so accommodating! She was able to handle our wild pup with ease and clearly has a lot of experience with dogs! She brought our dog to the park and would exercise her better than we probably even do (even though we bring her to the park for about 2 hours and go on long walks)! I would definitely recommend and would book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
