He was thoughtful and conscientious, meeting with us beforehand and running through a list of questions about her specific needs and habits. Throughout our trip, he sent updates with photos that showed our dog living her best life. Flora got along so well with his two dogs and they all three took idyllic snowy walks together and enjoyed playing together in Stan’s gorgeously wooded yard. We feel lucky to have met Stan and found a new home away from home for Flora. We had such peace of mind white we were away out of the country. Flora was in great and loving hands.”

My goal is to make sure your pets feel cared for and comfortable while giving you peace of mind I work part-time, so I’m home most of the day and have a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available for regular daytime check-ins, feeding, playtime, litter box care, and companionship. I can also adjust my schedule around your pet’s specific routine and needs I live in a quiet, fairly empty apartment in St. Paul with plenty of open space. Since there isn’t much furniture or clutter, there are limited potential hazards for pets. Mike was so attentive and easy to communicate with. We had a meet and greet prior to Archie’s boarding as it was his first time staying with someone else. Archie was able to meet part of Mike’s regulars which was a mix of sizes and breeds and it went great! It gave us so much security to see that Archie got along well with everyone and while we were away we got daily photo updates and occasional videos of how our pup was doing which was amazing! This was Louie’s second stay with Carrie & Family, and this truly is a home away from home. Carrie was gracious and flexible when the stay needed to be extended due to a flight cancellation. Loving family, nice fenced yard, just a wonderful environment. We’re so grateful for their care!!
Kathryn and family watched our Ricky for an extended weekend and he had a blast. He came home very tired and got lots of love from all of them including their lil’ retriever. Kathryn sent videos and updates and was easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!

Last year was my first time being away from my three-year-old dog since he was a puppy, so I was meticulous on finding someone I thought would keep my dog comfortable and happy while I was away. I saw Louka's profile and thought it sounded like the perfect fit. From the initial messaging, Louka was incredibly responsive, attentive, and on top of things. She also radiated warmth, kindness, positivity, gentleness, and patience. These qualities shined through during our Meet and Greet as well. She truly was the perfect person! After dropping my dog off and arriving at the airport, I wondered if it would be too early to check in on him. It turned out that Louka had already sent a message and several pictures within the hour of dropping him off! I was able to see how quickly he had adjusted to being with her. She provided several updates on day one, and she made sure to message me immediately the next morning telling me about how his first night went. From that point on, I did not have a single worry about my dog. Whenever I checked in on him, it was simply because I missed him! She was wonderful about sending multiple unprompted daily updates with pictures and videos as well. With each update, I could tell how absolutely comfortable and happy my dog was in Louka's care. He ate, drank, went to the bathroom, played, cuddled, and slept - all without missing a beat! This made me happy!! I found Louka to be really soothing and reassuring during my entire trip. This year, I was lucky enough to be able to schedule with Louka again. One of the biggest takeaways from this time was the way she treated my dog as if he were her own, opening both her heart and home to him (as she lovingly put it, "my couch is his couch."). The other biggest takeaway was her generous flexibility with scheduling. No matter what she had going on, she made sure departing and reuniting with my dog went as smoothly and efficiently as possible. I am so grateful to have found the most trustworthy person to care for my dog, and I am glad that she chooses to be a caretaker! It suits her so well! Louka will continue to be my go-to caretaker for any future trips. She is amazing!
