I work full time on the same property where the dogs stay, so pet care is part of my normal daily routine. Being on site allows me to provide regular attention, potty breaks, outdoor time, and supervision throughout the day. Overnight boarding also fits naturally here because the dogs are staying in a home environment where care, structure, and monitoring continue throughout their stay.

Safety, trust & environment
I focus on safety through structure, supervision, and slow introductions. New dogs are given time to settle in first, with separate spaces available when needed before meeting my dogs or other guests. I also use the fenced play area and dog runner trolley/zipline systems thoughtfully, depending on each dog’s size, temperament, recall, and comfort level. I pay close attention to body language, energy level, and interactions so each dog is cared for in a way that fits them, not forced into a one-size-fits-all routine.

One of my dogs can be nervous around large dogs, so I’m only able to accept bigger dogs that are well-socialized and non-aggressive. Thanks for understanding. It’s important to me that the environment here stays calm and safe for everyone.
A typical day
A typical day includes outdoor time, play, rest, and plenty of chances to sniff and explore. Depending on each dog’s personality and energy level, we may spend time in the fenced play area, go for slower walks around the property, play fetch or tug, use the spring pole, cool off with the sprinklers/kiddie pool on hot days, or use one of the dog runner trolley/zipline systems for a safe, guided way to roam and explore more of the property. I keep the routine flexible so dogs can get exercise, attention, and quiet breaks as needed. When it’s nice outside, I like to end the evening by bringing the dogs into the fenced area to relax and watch the sunset. It helps them wind down before dinner and sleep.

Pet care experience
Hi, I live and work on a peaceful 5-acre property in south Maplewood near the Battle Creek area with my two fur babies, Nessel and Luna. My home and barn offer a calmer, more spacious alternative to a traditional kennel or busy boarding facility -- a good fit for dogs who do best with space, routine, patience, and thoughtful care. . I don’t just keep your dog safe -- I pay attention to them, get to know their personality, and try to understand what helps them feel comfortable. I’ve cared for dogs large and small, across many breeds, personalities, and temperaments, and I know every dog needs something a little different. Some need play and exercise, some need structure, some need affection, and some simply need a quiet place to settle and feel safe. . I know many fur parents need peace of mind when leaving their pup with someone new. My goal is to provide a calm home environment where dogs are treated with patience, respect, and thoughtful care. Longer stays are preferred when possible, because dogs often settle in better once they have time to learn the routine, get comfortable with the space, and build trust. . What makes my place different is the amount of natural space, sniffing opportunities, and running room your dog will have during their stay. In fact, I’ve built and improved the property especially with dogs in mind. It is currently a Sniffspot “Top Spot,” with wooded trails, open fields, wildlife scents, peaceful space, and several dog-friendly features I’ve built myself -- including fenced play space, water play, a spring pole, and dog runner trolley/zipline setups totaling nearly 300 ft. It feels like a hidden oasis in the Twin Cities. . Schedule a Meet & Greet! . 🐾 Valeng and paw friends 🐾
Reviews
Ravi had a wonderful time with Valeng. He really enjoyed being outside a lot in the great property. His food bowls and crate came back much cleaner than when they were given to Valeng. Overall a great experience

Orca had so much fun and had other dogs to play with during his stay! He came back a tired and happy dog.

Valeng made our pup feel so safe and cared for. We received frequent updates and it was clear that she was in a great place with him!

Valeng was very communicative throughout Chief’s stay. His property is perfect for active dogs. Chief was pooped after a weekend with Valeng, he laid in the back of my Jeep the whole way home, as soon as we got home he plopped down in front of his bed and didn’t move for hours! Definitely will be returning!
