“We absolutely loved having Darcie and her family watch Oliver! We got updates every day with several pictures or even a video, which made being away from him so much easier. It was clear from the moment we dropped him off that Oliver was being treated like part of the family, and he came home happy and well-loved. We are honestly obsessed with Darcie and her family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will definitely be using Darcie again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love their dog like their own!”

“Emily and Tim were great to leave Lenni with! They were very communicative and sent great updates. Lenni came back happy and wiped out after playing all week with the family and dog. It was great knowing Lenni was able to run around all week in a fenced in yard. I'd definitely reach out to them in the future for similar requests!”

“Robert did a great job with my geriatric dog. He got her to go for a longer walk than we've been able to lately, and was patient with her enough to accomplish that. He also sent lots of great pictures of how she was doing. Thank you for the great care!”

“Carman and her family were great with our 1yr old lab mix. He was so calm when he returned home. He enjoyed the walks and playtime. We appreciated all the photos she sent us.”

“Kristen and her family are wonderful. Leo was happy to come home but seemed to have bene well cared for. There's love and activity at their home. We are glad they are close by.”

“Caleb was wonderful! He took great care of our two pups and was very comfortable and knowledgeable. He had lots of space for them to play and sent multiple updates throughout their stay. We 100% recommend cake and would use him again.”

“We had a family emergency come up and needed last minute puppy care. It was so great to know Marcus was in great hands and that he would be well taken care of! Thank you again!”

“We had a wonderful Rover experience with Raul. He sent pics and let me know how Lux was doing. Lux seemed super pooped out and like he had a great time with Raul and his dogs. Thanks for being a wonderful dog sitter.”
About: I have 4 pets of my own. I have also worked at an animal shelter for 2 years. I'm available for kittens, overnights and extended stays. Daycare, overnight and extended stay for dogs. Drop in visits for adult and elderly cats. I'm hoping to switch my main focus to helping pet parents. With 4 of my own loves, pet care is literally my daily routine. I will bring the dogs on walks, sit out with them to play in the yard. We have lots of toys and interactive food games.
“Dynette is an amazing sitter! She took such loving care of our dog, Calvin, while we were away, sharing frequent updates and photos so we knew he was doing well. It was so reassuring knowing Calvin was in such good hands while we were gone. We highly recommend Dynette and will definitely book with her again next time we need a sitter.”

“Carrie is amazing! My second time using her, first time booking for dog sitting in her house. Millie seemed to have a great time. Great communication and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Carrie! Thank you so much!”

“Crosby came home exhausted, which was needed as we were tired from our trip! He had plenty of outside time and play time. Really appreciated that Jessica has a fence! Will book with her again!”

“Lan has watched my puppy Posie a couple times now and she takes such great care of her! She’s super accommodating- my flight was delayed this past weekend and she was very nice about keeping my puppy longer than planned. Highly recommend her!”

“It was our girls first stay with Hollie and Jeff. From the meet n greet to the actual stay, they have been amazing! Asking and answering all of our questions, sending pics and updates, and overall just loving our fur babies. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back! Thanks for all the loving care during our trip!”

“Aish was great taking care of our dog for 3 days , she kept in touch with updates and photos and made sure he took his antibiotics that were a last minute prescription. I would recommend Aish and her family to all my friends and family. Thank you for everything Aish!”

“Geraldine was amazing with our senior Yorkie, Buddy. She spoiled him so much we joked that he wouldn’t want to come home with us 😊! Great about sending photos and updates, too. Buddy is very tiny and fragile, so it was a huge relief to know he was in good hands!”

Cannot recommend Kirsten and family enough. Archie was made right at home, treated like one of the family and got lots of love and attention. Kirsten was so great about checking in and sending pictures. I feel like Archie had his own little vacation, living his best life with his bestie Champ. We will without a doubt trust our fur baby’s care with Kirsten and family.

RubySue loved being with Rick, Sarah and family. Rick & Sarah were so lind to send a few pics and a video to help my separation anxiety. They made it really easy to trust them to care for my puppy. I really loved they had a dog that RubySue cld play with and get worn out by. Thank you.

Keyly responded immediately to my request message for dog care with a short notice. We arranged a meet and greet where we spent time chatting while our dogs got acquainted. I received photos and assurance the dogs were great together and Keyly provided much love and attention to my dog. She loved running around the fenced yard and sat on Keely’s lap while she was on line working! She doesn’t sit on my lap!! My dog didn’t want to leave when I picked her up. I’ll have to book Keyly early so I know I can go away and have 0 concerns about my dogs care. 🐾

Elyse was absolutely spectacular with Johnny! From the very first moment, I could tell she truly understands and loves animals. She kept me updated, was attentive to Johnny’s needs, and gave him so much love and attention while we were away. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands. It’s rare to find someone who connects with pets the way Elyse does. I’m so grateful to have found her, and I’d trust her with Johnny again in a heartbeat. Highly, highly recommend!

Mandy was THE BEST with our dogs! She went over and beyond to provide the most incredible care for them. Our dogs didn’t want to leave they had such a good time and fit right in. Mandy was an excellent communicator and even sent us precious photos of our dogs making memories! She was very clean and just an overall trustworthy and kind person. I would recommend her any day!

We felt so at ease leaving Emmett with Heather for a long weekend. When we met for a meet and greet, it was obvious that he was comfortable with their dog, family, and home. I felt that we got honest feedback about how his days were going and that he was well taken care of. We will definitely try to have him stay with Heather the next time we need to board him.

Dropping off my pup with John & Teri felt like leaving him with family. They are incredibly kind, and geniunely care for and love your dog like their own. It helps that they speak doodle, too. The one caution is if you leave your dog there for too many days, they might end up not wanting to come back home. If you have a doodle and need a sitter, you’re doing your dog a disservice if you choose anyone else! 11/10 recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
