“We did a trial overnight and our Murray came home calm and content. As a senior dog he can take a little longer to settle down in new situations. Theresa and Mike communicated openly about how he adjusted.”

“Monika and her pet family were wonderful with my two dogs. My dogs got along well with her pets and loved the large, fenced back yard. My older dog is deaf and has some GI issues requiring medication which Monika took care of for me. The pictures she sent on a daily basis showed how happy they were and cared for. They stayed for a week and loved every minute with her family.”

“Joanna and Brian did an awesome job with my pup. I appreciated the updates along with pictures they sent me of my dog smokey while I was away. The next time I need a pet sitter I will not hesitate to call on them again.”

“Cooper was in great care while we were on vacation! Highly recommend Dale and Betsy as care for your pet. Very kind, gentle and provided daily pictures of his loving care they provided.”

“My dog Toby had the best time with Dawn!! He got so much attention and played so hard with his new friends. He's so bored now that he's home with me :-) I'm definitely excited to send him back to Aunt Dawn for his next vacation!!”

“Absolutely a wonderful experience from the first communication to the time we picked up our pooch at the end of our vacation. I would highly recommend Mika and Andrew to care for your furry family members! Initial communication and response was quick, thorough and professional. We took our dog for an initial Meet and Greet and I just knew that our Boxer dog, Breck was going to be in excellent hands during her six-night stay. They have a very clean and welcoming home, both of which are very important to me. Mika and Andrew took the time to get to know Breck and let her get familiar with their home. They answered my questions thoroughly and made Breck and I feel at ease in their presence. Mika and Andrew did an excellent job giving us updates, pictures and sweet videos throughout Breck's stay. It was very comforting to know she was in such great care. I feel she was truly loved and cared for as if she was an integral part of Mika and Andrew's family. Our flight home was slightly delayed. Mika and Andrew were very accommodating and understanding of our later than anticipated pick up time. Upon pick up, Breck was packed and ready to go home. She was happy, healthy, calm and content. To be honest, I think she was a bit sad to be leaving Mika and Andrew! Again, I highly recommend Mika and Andrew to care for your fur babies. Top to bottom a five-star experience! We look forward to using them in the near future.”

“Easy communication and prompt responses. Our dog Bullet was so happy to stay with them. They updated us with pictures and were very thorough with Bullet’s needs. Thank you for taking good care of him. Highly recommended!”

“Mike is an amazing dog sitter. Our dog always seems to be having a great time with Mike and the other dogs there. Mike is also very easy to work with and is flexible. We are leaving Minnesota and having Mike as our dog sitter is one of the things we will miss most.”

“This was Murphy's first time for an extended stay with Lynn. One indicating factor that he had a good time being there is that he was not over joyed to see us when he got home. He was tired, not stressed out from being gone which is a great sign.”

“Kristen and her family are wonderful. Leo was happy to come home but seemed to have bene well cared for. There's love and activity at their home. We are glad they are close by.”

“These guys are my go to for my dog Maggie! Her tail starts wagging as we come near their house. As a dog owner and a worker on Rover myself, this relieves my anxiety about going on a trip and leaving my baby! You guys are the best!!!! Until next time.... Kari and Maggie”

“Carrie is amazing! My second time using her, first time booking for dog sitting in her house. Millie seemed to have a great time. Great communication and I felt very comfortable leaving her with Carrie! Thank you so much!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Our little guy is pretty apprehensive of new people and situations, but Janine made us all feel so comfortable, and she took such good care of him. We will definitely book with her again! Thank you Janine!”

“KAREN WAS EXCELLENT!!!! Daily exercise, communication and thee best photos! I almost think my dog is sad to be back home!! Her whole family seemed to enjoy taking care of my sweet Delta. I also want to add that I used Rover for the first time, very last minute and Karen was also patient with me :) Hope she is available for our next trip!!!”

“Gabi and Tommie were wonderful and I felt so comfortable knowing that Juni was with kind, responsive, and dog-adoring people for the weekend. Happy to know we have some trustworthy sitters for the future.”

“Once again, we were so happy with the care our pups received from this fantastic team. One of our 2 pups has a fear of storms and situations that aren’t familiar. They went out of their way to take great care of them . I appreciated the pics of my nervous girl when she was calm and content with the family. Thank you very much! We will be hiring this A-Team again😊”
“Betsy is amazing! My little French Bulldog comes home happy as can be after leaving her house! Betsy always keeps me updated, sends pictures and is very organized and professional. I always recommend her.”

Caleb provided exceptional care for our 3 year old lab, Fiona, while we were on a summer vacation. We knew that she was in great hands the whole time. Caleb was communicative and regularly sent photos. videos, and updates. Also, Fiona and Cro were awesome playmates! We will absolutely book Caleb again the next time we need care for our pup! Thank you Caleb!

Mandy was THE BEST with our dogs! She went over and beyond to provide the most incredible care for them. Our dogs didn’t want to leave they had such a good time and fit right in. Mandy was an excellent communicator and even sent us precious photos of our dogs making memories! She was very clean and just an overall trustworthy and kind person. I would recommend her any day!

Keyly took care of our elderly dog in her home, and she was wonderful! At his age, it can be tough to leave him, but I had no worries this time. She took great care of him, provided lots of photos and updates, and made sure he got his daily meds. He was definitely spoiled there and did not want to leave when I came to get him! We are super grateful to Keyly for taking great care of our old guy and would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

We felt so at ease leaving Emmett with Heather for a long weekend. When we met for a meet and greet, it was obvious that he was comfortable with their dog, family, and home. I felt that we got honest feedback about how his days were going and that he was well taken care of. We will definitely try to have him stay with Heather the next time we need to board him.

Dropping off my pup with John & Teri felt like leaving him with family. They are incredibly kind, and geniunely care for and love your dog like their own. It helps that they speak doodle, too. The one caution is if you leave your dog there for too many days, they might end up not wanting to come back home. If you have a doodle and need a sitter, you’re doing your dog a disservice if you choose anyone else! 11/10 recommend.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
