“Jared and Kandace provided excellent care for our 8-year old Bichon. They were attentive to her needs and treated her as if she were their own.we would choose them to care for Josie again.”

“Steven and Diana were great with my puppy! We got regular picture updates of all the fun they were having together. They have a nice fenced yard so he could run all of his energy out. We will definitely be booking them again!”

“Alka and Rajeev were outstanding caretakers with our very nervous golden retriever. They were so gentle and patient with her while she got acclimated and even walked her out back each potty when she wouldn’t do the deck steps alone. My dog ended up having a great week- seeing the videos of them playing fetch with sticks in the vast and fenced backyard, my dog happily parading her stick around, tail wagging, made us relieved and happy. Excellent caretakers! We will definitely use them again!”

“This was our first time using rover. Eileen was wonderful and made the process very easy and comfortable from beginning to end. It is very clear that she loves animals and without a doubt, she treated Chloe even better than we do! It was really nice to not have to worry at all about our dig while we were out of town and she sent pics and updates regularly. We will not hesitate to book with her again. Thank you Eileen!”

“This was our first time leaving pup. I was very nervous. But after getting a recommendation from a neighbor, and after our Meet and Greet with Charlie, we knew everything was going to be ok! We really liked that Charlie has so many years experience watching dogs, that he had a fenced yard and worked from home. We missed our pup so much - it helped to get several updates and pictures during her stay and Charlie was very responsive to our questions. Pup came home happy and we will definitely be asking Charlie to babysit again!”

“Chelsi did great with Hazel! She gave us many updates (videos & pictures) as to how Hazel was doing! Chelsi is also great with responding to messages in a timely fashion! She great with making accommodations if your pet needs them!”

About: I’m a dedicated dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I grew up with both dogs and horses, and our animals were always treated as part of the family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pet while you’re away. I’ve cared for everything from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a slower, gentler pace. Every dog is different, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. At home, I have two Australian Cattle Dogs, Sydney (4) and Roo (2), both rescues. They’re active, social, and always happy to welcome new companions. Before them, I raised my dog Cooper from 7 weeks old through 14 wonderful years. I also regularly provide in-home dog sitting for friends and family, with stays ranging from a few days to several weeks. I work from home which provides me plenty of time to keep an eye on your pup and let them out for potty breaks. I also try to work in some play time during the day where I can. My dogs insist the ball is thrown for them a lot! I feed my my own dogs around 6:30/7am and 3:30/4pm daily. I have a nice big yard with a privacy fence and 2 well socialized, friendly and playful dogs. I have good size kitchen and living room areas that can be gated off the pups need some quiet time to themselves.
“They took gentle and personal care of my baby girl pup, Rosie! Such a nice couple with a large yard and excellent communication. Love that they only take one rover family at a time. Will definitely book through them again.”

“Breanca took care of my pup for three nights and I couldn’t be happier with her. She sent me photos and videos of my dog periodically having the time of his life with her pup and cats. I plan to go back to her every time I need a sitter..”

“Can't leave enough stars! From responding at the last minute on a holiday weekend to instilling complete confidence that our boy was being well taken care of, we are grateful for Stephanie and Dan. Would absolutely recommend.”

“I typically book with a daycare center but due to the amount of time we would be gone, we feared he would suffer from anxiety and loneliness. So we decided to book with a home daycare to ensure he received more personal care. They did an awesome job with Jake. Seemingly, he was treated like their own with lots of cuddle time. They provided daily updates and included cute photos. They were flexible with drop off and pick up times. I would definitely use them again.”

“Barbara was really sweet with our dog Guapo and kept us up to date, also we had a last minute change in our reservation and she was very accommodating and flexible. We will definitely consider her for future dog care needs :)”

“Kathy was so great with our 1 year old pup! She was attentive and wanted to learn more about our dog to give him the best care. She provided lots of detailed updates and was very flexible! We would definitely send our dog to her again!”

“Soooo great to have Jessica and Grant's good care when I went on vacation. They are fun, friendly and great to work with. My dog came home happy and I LOVED the pix and updates. Thank you! I'll definitely reach out again!”

“Liss is just the best! She is so gentle and puts my dog at ease. I feel so good about the care Ellie gets when she is with Liss. If you have a shy dog or a dog who needs to be near a human to feel secure. Liss has a knack for that.”

“Deanna took excellent care of Indy! She sent me pics and videos of how Indy was speding his day with her and her two dogs (going for a walk or playing in the snow). Deanna was flexible and easy to communicate with. Thank you, Deanna, for taking care of my boy!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Eagan
We have used good pet boarding/pet resorts in the past, but we prefer leaving our dog under the direct care of someone who loves dogs and gives them plenty of attention and opportunities to play outside. Topsy welcomed us to do a “meet and greet” so she could meet our dog, and he could get acquainted with her, in advance. When we visited her residence for the first time, we felt an immediate connection between our dog and Topsy. Topsy sent pictures and a fun video while we were gone. We could see that our dog was enjoying himself throughout his stay. In fact, we have never seen him this happy with anyone else, other than one of our immediate family members and next-door neighbors. Topsy made sure he had plenty of attention and play time outside. If we could give Topsy a ten-star rating, we would do so! We especially wish to let future Rover users know that Topsy is a wonderful, caring dog-sitter!

She was wonderful! She responded very fast and took great care of my two cats. I have one cat who can be aggressive and hard to handle, but she did a fantastic job with him. She is very professional, attentive, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I would gladly book with her again!

We booked Jai last minute for our 8-month old puppy (who we just adopted 2 months ago) and they were WONDERFUL! Jai completely exceeded our expectations for safe and personalized care for Archie. Jai was warm and knowledgeable and kept us updated frequently with photos and videos. It was very clear that Archie had a blast in Jai’s care! We will absolutely book with Jai again.

Kendra took excellent care of my boy! She was communicative, flexible, and Moses loves her. It’s clear she gives him plenty of love and scratches, and she has a fenced in yard where he got a lot of playtime and made friends with the neighbor dogs. This was his second stay with Kendra, and he already recognizes her house and starts his happy hops when we pull into the driveway.

David is a phenomenal dog sitter. He goes above and beyond to make sure the dogs get along and treats your pet as his own. He sends multiple updates each day and also takes the dogs on multiple walks each day. We feel fortunate that we found him and look forward to using him again.

Laura and her family are fabulous! I felt great leaving Riley with them for the weekend after being invited into their home and seeing how comfortable Riley was immediately. They navigated a few minor “issues” without causing us concern while we were away. It was clear in the videos and pictures they sent that they treated Riley as their own. We will definitely be booking with Laura again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
