About: I have taken care of both my two dogs since I was 8 years old. I have trained both of my dogs, fed, and walked them daily. I have also house sat for two other dogs. One was less than 8 months old and the other was 2 years old. I house sat those two yorkies for a week. I am not working this summer so I will be able to take care of your pets 24/7. I am an animal lover and will take great care of your babies as if they were my own. I am flexible with strictness of schedules and particular pets as I know some animals have their quirks. I have one friendly beagle who is 9 years old. She is very laid back and typically spends most of her day voluntarily in her crate. She goes on daily walks but these can also be separated from your pet walks if needed.
“Heather did absolutely amazing with my pups! I am always nervous about having new people around my pups, but Heather connected with them really well and it was obvious she cared for them. Highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up with dogs in the household while I currently do not have any dogs due to my two cats and living in a rental that doesn’t allow any more than two pets. I love dog sitting for my friends and family when they go out of town! I have worked with small to large dogs, dogs with special medication need's, dogs with behavioral issues/needs and puppies. I currently work from home Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday anywhere between 8 AM to 7 PM depending on my work schedule it changes weekly but I’m more then flexible it fit in walks or drop in visits. My weekends normally consist of just relaxing at home so I thought why not look into helping people with their beloved pets in the evening and on Saturdays and Sundays. Unfortunately, with my two cats living in a townhome rental, I won’t be doing services in my home, however, if I dog sit in your home I will make sure that your pet gets all the correct meals needed, on time medication‘s if needed, and plenty of play times and cuddles with walks throughout the day or as requested!
“Kathy has been such a godsend as we were looking for a drop-in sitter for our two pups. She is extremely attentive and makes sure the dogs get everything they need (food, water, potty breaks, exercise), while also enjoying them and making them feel loved! Her communication is awesome and she sends lots of photos and a detailed description of her time. I would highly recommend her to anyone look for care for their animals!”

“Lucy is a very kind person, and my dogs love her. She comes and walks them twice a week when I’m busy with school and they are SO happy to get to spend some time outside with her. She sends photos and gives me little updates on them, and it makes me feel better about leaving my big, grown up babies.”

“Amy has been so helpful for us! She’s looked after our Dog, Rabbit, and Guinea pig when we’ve been away. She’s always on time and follows our instructions perfectly! Very glad to have found her on Rover!”

“Perla did a great job looking after our 2 cats while we were away on vacation for 11 days. She took time to send us photos every day and took great care of keeping up on their food/water/litterbox. Our cats are normally very shy and took to her immediately, I will 100% use her services in the future 😊”

“Alma is our go-to when we leave town and need someone to take good care of our cats. We can always count on her to make sure they are loved and spoiled just enough until we get home.”

“Katherine was so wonderful! Nash can be selective and protective of me and his home, but he warmed up to her quickly and we will definitely be booking for Katherine again!”

“Jade was dependable and pleasant to work with. She was so great with our kitties which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. I will definitely be asking her to sit for us again. Thank you, Jade!”

“Olivia was great! It's our first time to use Rover, and we're glad we chose the right sitter. Our kitties loved her and one of them showed his belly which is his sign of approval! One of them vomited (which she cleaned up) and she came back that same night on her own initiative to check on them, which was very much appreciated.”

I am based during the school year in mankato mn, and twin cities in summer! i will let your dogs out when they need to go, walk them, play with them and love on them so they can have the best care!
About: I have always loved and cared about the welfare of animals ever since I can remember, and even had several different pets of my own growing up that I cared for, including a couple of dogs (one of which lived to be 17 years old!). I have past experience with volunteering at organisations such as the SPCA (providing care for cats, dogs, and rabbits) and caring for cats at AniMall Cat Clinic. I have helped several close ones and neighbours with pet care needs for their dogs and cats, which included: feeding, walking, providing transportation to veterinary appointments, and spending quality time with the pets, just giving them affection or playing games such as fetch/tug of war. I also have experience with: managing breeds that are reactive to other dogs (but still love the company of humans), administering oral and injectable medication to pets (usually with food), and caring for breeds that are often subject to housing or insurance restrictions, some of which have included: Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Huskies, Dobermans, and American Bullies. I focus on understanding each dog's individual temperament, communication style, and needs. 🐾 I require a meet and greet with all new/first time clients before officially booking a house sitting. I like to think about approaching a meet and greet a bit like job interviewing, with my intentions being to ensure mutual compatibility, alignment on expectations, opportunity to meet the pets included in the booking request, and to allow for both client and sitter to ask/answer any questions. Please know that scheduling a meet and greet does not 100% guarantee that the stay is confirmed. Both sitters and pet parents on Rover do reserve the right to change their mind at any time after a meet and greet and before confirming a booking if they conclude that it would not be the best fit for their needs. I will listen to/observe your pet's body language and demeanour before approaching, and will always interact with them gently and kindly. On walks and out in the yard, I always use a leash or harness to keep the pet safe. Furthermore, I always strive to keep an eye out for any potential hazards to pets while they are in my care, whether that is something that spilled on the floor, or an unfamiliar object in the yard, and will always act swiftly to remove the hazard so your pet will be out of harm's way.
About: I'm a passionate pet lover dedicated to providing the best care for your furry family members. I have lived with dogs since 5 years old. I have experience with senior dogs and their unique health needs, as well as experience with puppies that may have specific training needs. Although I have never owned my own cat, I adore them and have about 6 years of experience as a cat sitter. Your pet's well-being and happiness are my top priorities! I currently work full-time hybrid, so I can be flexible with your needs! I am available for in-home overnight pet sitting any day, and walking or feeding visits on weekday evenings and all day on the weekends. I currently do not offer sitting in my own home, but I am happy to come watch your pets in your home! I will make sure to treat your home just like you treat it, and I can attend to any needs such as getting mail or taking the trash out. As a pet owner myself, I know how scary it can be to leave your pet behind, especially with someone new. I can meet you and your pet beforehand to ensure it's a good fit for everyone, and I provide frequent updates while you're away.
“Sammy took care of our two cats as if they were her own and it is clear that both of our cats enjoyed her company, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Sammy is extremely friendly, trustworthy, and it’s obvious she is a huge animal lover. During our meet and greet, Sammy sat down on the floor to be at our cat’s level and she connected with our 2 cats very quickly. We will definitely book with her again. Thank you SO much for taking such great care of our cats, Sammy!!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
