“Thank you!!! Katherine was so helpful, especially given the last minute nature of our booking. Our cats warmed right up to her! Thankful for the reliable help :)”

“Kathy is peace in the storm. I was called out of state for a family emergency. She responded to my request immediately, was in our neighborhood dogwalking, and stopped in within an hour. She has handled sitting and walking with our needy coonhound with grace and aplomb.”

“Sierra was excellent with Hank and my ferret. She went above and beyond her requested visit filling dog food containers and taking out the garbage, which was another persons duty which wasn’t done.. The pictures were great and I am looking forward to working with her next time I leave town. This is the first time I have used Rover and I am impressed! Thank you!”

About: I have years of hands-on pet care experience through both personal and professional care. I currently work in in-home pet care providing dog walking and cat sitting services, where I assist with daily routines such as feeding, walks, litter care, playtime, and companionship. I grew up around both dogs and cats and have always been comfortable caring for animals of different personalities and energy levels. I’ve also cared for cats long-term in my own home, which has given me experience with daily care and building trust with pets. I focus on keeping pets safe, calm, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m available to care for cats & dogs on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM while my daughter is at school. During this time, I can provide feeding, walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention to make sure your pet feels happy and comfortable. I focus on following each pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, calm, and well cared for throughout the visit. I care for pets by following their usual routines, including feeding, fresh water, walks, and litter box maintenance when needed. I give plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection to make sure each pet feels safe and comfortable. I can also administer medications if needed. I make sure pets are cared for in a clean, safe, and calm environment, whether I’m visiting their home or caring for them in my own. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including managing multiple pets at once and ensuring each one receives proper attention and care. 💕
“Alma was great with our cats. They were well taken care of while we were away and we were kept up to date with wonderful pictures of them. The only thing I would say to be aware of when choosing Alma is to be very clear if you have a pet that requires food or medication at a specific time as her drop-bys to feed our cats in the afternoon changed day-to-day.”

“Eden was fantastic taking care of my furballs while I was gone! They loved him and came out to visit every time which is very rare for one of my kitties. I felt great relief knowing they were being taken care of everyday.”

“Lucy was wonderful as always. She was able to do a last minute check in on my pups, and they adore her. She’s wonderful at communication and is a very patient person with both dogs and me!”

About: With over 13 years of hands-on experience caring for my own two large dogs, Lahey and Xena, I understand the deep bond between pets and their owners. Growing up in a family that has fostered dogs of all sizes for years, I’ve gained invaluable experience with pups of all temperaments, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention. Whether your furry friend loves long walks, belly rubs, or just a cozy companion while you’re away, I provide personalized care to make them feel safe and loved. Your dog isn’t just a pet—they’re family, and I’ll treat them like my own! 🐾 As a dedicated pet sitter, I make sure to balance my responsibilities with my love for caring for animals. While I’m currently still in school, I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3 PM to 10 PM, and anytime on Saturdays and Sundays to provide your pet with the care and attention they need. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just companionship, I prioritize creating a comfortable and loving environment for your pet. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I’m happy to accommodate their specific needs—whether it’s sticking to a strict feeding schedule or giving them extra snuggles while you’re away. Your pet’s happiness and well-being always come first! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I strive to maintain a calm, loving, and familiar environment that keeps them comfortable while their owners are away. I follow their established routine—whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or any special care needs—to ensure they feel safe and stress-free. I also make sure to give them plenty of attention, belly rubs (if they enjoy them!), and mental stimulation to keep them happy. Respecting your home is just as important to me as caring for your pet, so I always leave everything clean and tidy, making sure their food bowls, litter boxes, and play areas are well-maintained. Lahey and Xena have been a huge part of my life for the past 13 years, and I’ve always prioritized their happiness and well-being. I ensure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and proper nutrition while also giving them the space they need to relax. They love long walks, interactive play, and, of course, plenty of snuggles! Over the years, I’ve learned how to read their body language, understand their unique personalities, and cater to their needs, whether that means giving them space or engaging in active play. With the same love and dedication I give to Lahey and Xena, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own—ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well taken care of while you’re away!
“Amy has been so helpful for us! She’s looked after our Dog, Rabbit, and Guinea pig when we’ve been away. She’s always on time and follows our instructions perfectly! Very glad to have found her on Rover!”

“Olivia was great! It's our first time to use Rover, and we're glad we chose the right sitter. Our kitties loved her and one of them showed his belly which is his sign of approval! One of them vomited (which she cleaned up) and she came back that same night on her own initiative to check on them, which was very much appreciated.”

“Jade was dependable and pleasant to work with. She was so great with our kitties which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation. I will definitely be asking her to sit for us again. Thank you, Jade!”

About: I have taken care of both my two dogs since I was 8 years old. I have trained both of my dogs, fed, and walked them daily. I have also house sat for two other dogs. One was less than 8 months old and the other was 2 years old. I house sat those two yorkies for a week. I am not working this summer so I will be able to take care of your pets 24/7. I am an animal lover and will take great care of your babies as if they were my own. I am flexible with strictness of schedules and particular pets as I know some animals have their quirks. I have one friendly beagle who is 9 years old. She is very laid back and typically spends most of her day voluntarily in her crate. She goes on daily walks but these can also be separated from your pet walks if needed.
About: I have always had a dog in my life! I also worked for a pet sitting service in the past caring for dogs and cats. I work in education and have time this summer to spend with your pet. I hope to continue in some capacity in the school year. I am reliable, trustworthy and will follow advice from you as the owner to help your furry friend be comfortable and feel loved with each visit.
“Sammy took care of our two cats as if they were her own and it is clear that both of our cats enjoyed her company, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Sammy is extremely friendly, trustworthy, and it’s obvious she is a huge animal lover. During our meet and greet, Sammy sat down on the floor to be at our cat’s level and she connected with our 2 cats very quickly. We will definitely book with her again. Thank you SO much for taking such great care of our cats, Sammy!!”

“Jennifer did such a great job once again caring for Tally, my 15-year-old cat who has diabetes and needs insulin. She kept me updated on how she was doing and she sent pictures. Jenny is so sweet and I know tally loves her company. Tally was very happy when I got home, she was purring, talkative and playful. She was definitely well cared for! We both look forward to having Jennifer visit again soon. 😃”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eagan. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
