“Samantha was amazing! The photos and videos she sent were both adorable and helpful. Knowing our sweet, shy kitty had someone as kind and patient as her has been very reassuring so we were able to enjoy our week ling vacation. I highly recommend her!! ❤️”

“Patty made our first experience with Rover so wonderful and relieving. I could tell immediately she was someone who loved animals and was doing this out of that love and generosity. She left wonderful and detailed reports of our cats and we feel so grateful she is someone we can trust our pets with in the future.”

“Kristen is super kind and great with both of our cats! She was flexible and left great updates! Made us feel so comfortable having to leave town for an unexpected family emergency. Thank you so much!”

“Eva K. was very accommodating and I'm so grateful that they were able to help me out! My guy is a social eater so having Eva there ensured that he would at least eat something while I was gone.”

“Lucy is a very kind person, and my dogs love her. She comes and walks them twice a week when I’m busy with school and they are SO happy to get to spend some time outside with her. She sends photos and gives me little updates on them, and it makes me feel better about leaving my big, grown up babies.”

“Claire was super awesome for dropping in and hanging with our families cat and dog. Our dog has some separation anxiety but warmed up to Claire immediately and made us feel super comfortable knowing we had her to walk and hang with Zoe. Great communication and prompt visits! Definitely recommend!”

“Heidi did such a wonderful job with our cats and our dog, that I’m 99% sure the puppy was disappointed when I came home. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again (and look forward to doing so soon!)”

About: I have my own little dog that I take care of, and I am excited to take care of more. I am care giver at a health care center. Right now I am working on call as a nursing assistant in Apple Valley. I make my own schedule therefore I am free different days of the week. One week I could be free everyday and then I next I’m only free for a couple of days. My mom recently got a new fence for the backyard so our dog can roam freely without us having an heart attack that she’s going to run away 😂
“Eden was fantastic taking care of my furballs while I was gone! They loved him and came out to visit every time which is very rare for one of my kitties. I felt great relief knowing they were being taken care of everyday.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my life since I was a kid! I’m always the first person my family asks when they need someone to care for their pet! Early mornings or late evenings are not a problem for me. I’m able to work around your pet’s schedule to make sure they’re cared for. I have plenty of yard space for your pet to run and exercise in and have a nice neighborhood to take them on plenty of walks.
About: I have worked at dog boarding facilities as well as a pet store that housed cats for the humane society. I have years of personal experience with all kinds of animals. I currently work full time during the week so I am available in the evenings from 6 pm-11 pm and all day on the weekends. I have experience with safely walking and handling reactive dogs and animals as well as building trust with all animals I come into contact with.
“Keith and Baubee are the cream of the crop- our pets love them and they always take such great care and send timely updates after the visits. in a world that is constantly in Chaos, Keith and Baubee are a constant good thing for us.”

About: I became a dog lover when I was 6 and my family got our first bulldog Rufus (best dog breed in my opinion). I’ve taken care of my own dog and friends and family members’ dogs that have come in all different breeds and sizes. I have availability all throughout the week and can accommodate whatever time works best for you. I just graduated college, so I’m doing dog care while I look for a job. I will listen to your pet’s body language to make them as comfortable as possible when meeting them and assure that they are safe and secure before leaving.
“anna provided us with a great report on her time with jojo and maggie and provided us with great relief to know they were in good hands while we were at our son's wedding the dogs seemed very content when we finally got home and we will definitely request her services again if needed she was fabulous!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Burnsville
Claire is the best sitter! We always have a great experience! She is always reliable, followed all of the instructions we provided, and make sure our cats were well cared for while we were away. It gives us peace of mind knowing they are checked on, fed, and comfortable. We really appreciated the updates and the care they put into making sure everything was taken care of. We would definitely recommend and book again!

Evelyn has been absolutely wonderful taking care of Yoko. She consistently checked in, kept me updated, and communicated with me throughout the entire time I was away. As someone who worries a lot about leaving my cat for several days, Evelyn gave me complete peace of mind. Knowing that Yoko was being cared for by someone so reliable, attentive, and compassionate made all the difference. I truly appreciate the care and attention she provided, and I always felt reassured that Yoko was in great hands. Evelyn is someone I can count on without hesitation, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Pickles was well cared for by Stephanie. She let my cat be comfortable with interactions, using treats to reassure her. I received updates each day on her food intake and litter box usage. I will be booking Stephanie again. Stephanie was understanding and flexible with my weather delayed departure.

Ivy took great care of our two girls! Everything was communicated extremely well and it is clear she truly cares about the animals. Her notes were detailed and I love all the fun pictures. Having Ivy take care of Bella and Gracie gave me peace of mind during our 2 week trip.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burnsville. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
