“Samantha was so great to work with! She sent me pictures and updates of the home visits every day and gave my dog the love and attention she needed while I was away. Would absolutely hire her again!”

“Our cat is very shy and Patty actually managed a quick spotting at one point. We always were assured she was okay by checking food levels and litter box residue so we all knew that she was still okay. Patty was great in reporting her progress and we heard from her every day.”

“Amy has been so helpful for us! She’s looked after our Dog, Rabbit, and Guinea pig when we’ve been away. She’s always on time and follows our instructions perfectly! Very glad to have found her on Rover!”

“Kristin took great care of my two cats while I was gone! She followed all instructions very well and did a great job administering an inhaler to my cat with asthma which is not an easy task!”

“I had initially booked my visit with a different person who ended up not answering me. This left me looking for someone else… I was kind of worried. I looked at different profiles and came across Claire’s. I loved her bio and the sweet pictures she had of her fur baby and other fur babies. Claire came over a week prior to us leaving on our 12 day vacation to pick up the keys and to meet my babies. She was SO SWEET & fell in love with my babies right away. I knew from our first encounter she’d be a great sitter. During our trip she sent us lovely “report cards” (my nickname for them) she’d send such great pictures of our babies and leave a lengthy report on them during her visit. This is our first time being away from our precious babies and it was SO SO SO SO HARD & we miss them more than words can explain, but I never once wondered or worried about their care. I had told Claire we were very easy going and that in reality she didn’t need to play with the cats or try to win them over. They tend to hide from people and be shy & they honestly entertain themselves… my biggest things were making sure their raw food was discarded/cleaned up properly & that their litter robots got topped off and emptied once full. Claire did this effortlessly! She also still took the time to win them over & to play with them. (She has more than 1 job and I didn’t want her to actually waste her time at my place) but this didn’t stop her. She was able to get all my babies comfortable around her, purring, playing & snuggling. My heart is full and so thankful to have found someone reliable who will ALWAYS be my go to for my kids. Thank you so much Claire. We truly appreciate you!”

“Lucy was wonderful as always. She was able to do a last minute check in on my pups, and they adore her. She’s wonderful at communication and is a very patient person with both dogs and me!”

I have a young golden retriever who loves companions and is good with dogs of all sizes, and older one who is slightly more selective, but we stay very active! I will love your pet as my own, give them all the love, attention and activity they need. I will cater to you and your pet's needs to make you feel as comfortable as possible while you're away. They will be well cared for, well exercised and I’ll be sure to provide interaction, play and stimulation while you are away!
“Ann was so good with Bernie and Samira!! She sent a ton of pictures and left US a thank you for letting her care for them while we were away! I could tell they were very comfy with Ann and she was great at taking care of their needs! I am so grateful!”

“Ed really goes the extra mile, not only for the pets for whom he is caring, but also with keeping their “parents” entertained with stories, puzzles, and humor. We look forward to each time he sits for us!”

“Haley is super nice and easy to work with. My cats both like her almost instantly. She’s good at taking cute pics. Will be thinking of her next time we are on a trip.”

“This was our first time using Rover and Ben meet with us beforehand to talk about the care for Josie. He was excellent at communicating with us each day and sending us photos. He did all the tasks we asked of him and Josie seemed to really like him. He made this entire experience easy and we would book him again.”

“Jennifer is the absolute best! When my kid had left a pet mess behind before school, Jennifer cleaned it up for me, and also emptied the litter box for me, without me asking!! I am blown away by her kindness, and desire not to leave me with it when I was coming home from a work trip! So very much appreciated!”

“Haley was amazing. She was so sweet and loving with our dogs. She was detailed and asked great questions to make sure that they were cared for just like we would do. We will be using her services again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Burnsville
Evelyn has been absolutely wonderful taking care of Yoko. She consistently checked in, kept me updated, and communicated with me throughout the entire time I was away. As someone who worries a lot about leaving my cat for several days, Evelyn gave me complete peace of mind. Knowing that Yoko was being cared for by someone so reliable, attentive, and compassionate made all the difference. I truly appreciate the care and attention she provided, and I always felt reassured that Yoko was in great hands. Evelyn is someone I can count on without hesitation, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Pickles was well cared for by Stephanie. She let my cat be comfortable with interactions, using treats to reassure her. I received updates each day on her food intake and litter box usage. I will be booking Stephanie again. Stephanie was understanding and flexible with my weather delayed departure.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Burnsville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
