“We had a wonderful experience! They took such great care of our elderly (and sometimes grumpy!) Chihuahua while we were on vacation. Communication was excellent, and they were so patient and understanding of our dog's unique needs and personality. It was obvious they genuinely love animals, which gave us so much peace of mind. About: I have spent my whole life around animals. My passion goes way beyond standard pet care. I worked for two years as a professional dog bather and kennel attendant. That experience taught me how to handle all sizes of dogs safely. I can also do expert nail trims and baths. When I am not with pets I volunteer at a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in the mammal nursery. Caring for fragile wildlife requires extreme patience and strict schedules. My schedule is highly flexible! I am fully available most days for walks and drop in visits. I can easily adjust my time to fit your pet's routine. My Rover calendar is always kept up to date with my exact availability. Safety is my #1 priority! I have a professional kennel background and experience with fragile wildlife so I’m super observant and know how to handle animals safely. I’m extra careful about locking gates and making sure no one escapes through the front door. I'll strictly follow your feeding schedules and care rules and I’ll send you tons of cute photo updates so you know your babies are happy and loved!

“She is the BEST!! My 3 labs love her. I was on vacation for 5 days. She came in numerous times each day. Very flexible with scheduling. Will DEFINITELY use her again!!! ???❤️ My boys have her 12 puppy paws out of 5. Went above and beyond what I asked of her.”

“Megan is amazing! She was responsive, reliable, and super personable. She took great care of my little yorkie pup! I never had any reservation booking services with her. She is a huge dog lover! Highly recommend her for your dog needs! :)”

About: My husband and I have grown up with dogs and you will receive tons of pictures throughout the day! We have flexible jobs where we can work from home so your dog will always have someone to hang out with. Our house has a very large fenced in backyard where the critters can run around and chase all the rabbits and squirrels out. Your pup will have full access to the entire house including all of the furniture and beds. Please let us know if you would like to set up a meet and greet to ensure that all our furry critters get along. We basically schedule our days around dogs and their daily needs. Just let us know what their routine is and we will stick with what they’re used to. My husband and I both work hybrid/remote and someone will always be home with the dogs to hang out with them, let them out, etc.
About: I've lived with dogs my whole life and am a dog owner at my core! I so love caring for pets, providing for them and being their biggest advocate. When our pets are happy, we're happy :) I work from home in Prior Lake as a Graphic Designer and have a lot of flexibility with my job. I'm dog mom to our Great Pyrenees and I know a lot about senior care, medication administration, general communication and body language knowledge, walking and leash training. We're open to boarding well-socialized pups in our home, but they must be respectful of our older resident dog. They can enjoy the large, shaded back yard together on secure leads as we have an unfenced yard. We also have chickens (who are securely fenced in their own area!) I'm available mornings, evenings, overnights and weekends! I work from home full time in Prior Lake and have day time flexibility. I'd love to bring your dog along with me for walks! I care for your pets just as I would my own! I'm attentive, intuitive and thoughtful when it comes to taking care of your animals and home. I'm very respectful and trustworthy of others spaces. I will leave everything exactly as I find it.

Ann is amazing. She took care of our two cats while we were out of town. One of our cats had to have 2 different kinds of medications and Ann successfully managed it. She sent multiple pictures which we appreciated greatly! I highly recommend Ann to take care of your pets!

Christine’s passion for pets is perfectly demonstrated through the care she provides your pet(s). She’s very thorough & detailed oriented which makes the experience worry free. Also, she was willing to go above & beyond just pet care. We will definitively use her again if possible!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Prior Lake. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
