“Jennifer did an amazing job watching our cats, including managing special diets and medications. Great communication and great attention to detail. Her kindness shows in how she interacted with us and our pets. We will absolutely seek her out again in the future!”

“Paige is incredible! She took such good care of my kitties and I had zero concerns being away from them. She was great with bringing in packages so they would not sit out all week. She played with the kitties, gave them lots of attention, and kept me updated every step of the way! I will for sure use Paige again to watch my kitties and highly recommend her for anyone else looking for a kind, caring, communicative, and all around amazing kitty sitter!”

About: I take very care of my cats and make sure they have a well balanced diet and life. I’ve babysat friends dogs and am very good at following any directions and preferences they give me. Cats and dogs give me so much joy and I always have the patience and love for them. I’m currently working a part-time job and I’m in softball currently, so the most available time I have are Fridays and the weekends at any time your pet will need me. I will be coming to your home since that works best for me, so I will care for you pet just like you would yourself. Any special accommodations you have for me, I will be sure to follow through since it is your home and your pet.

About: I’ve always loved animals growing up! Taking care of them and giving them love is what truly makes me feel happy! I’m a current volunteer with my local shelter(s), and I’ve also worked with animals at a boarding/daycare facility! I’ve had a lot of experience with lots of animals In my life and I believe working with rover will help me achieve my further goals in working with animals. I have my dog, Ruby, and three cats! I’m currently not in school or working so I have a lot of free time to dedicate myself to taking care of pets, so it would be very easy to have time! I’ve always been an animal lover and I would call myself a animal whisperer! Haah. I have never met a animal who didn’t like me. I am patient and delicate with every pet I meet and would treat every pet / animal as my own.
“Michelle was fantastic! I felt very comfortable leaving my cats with her. She did super well with their complicated feeding instructions. She also left great descriptions on how my cats were with many photos! Will definitely book with Michelle again.”

About: My family adopted a dog five years ago. A couple years later when I turned 18 I got a dog of my own. I Have had her for 3 years now. I’ve always had a passion for animals and even have a non profit rescue with my friend. I work at Target full-time Tuesday-Saturday 7:30-4. I get a 30 minute meal break which I normally use to take my dog out but can easily switch and have it be yours as long as it’s close to Chaska target (I have help at home if needed). I am very precise when it comes to caring for animals. If they are on a routine I follow that as closely as possible. My dog could also tag along if requested as she is friendly with other dogs and even cats.
“Olivia did a wonderful job with our 2 cats while we were gone for a week. She was on time and always spent time with the cats as well as sending a quick note and pics of them. We will use her again if needed.”

I’m familiar with the needs of cats and dogs of all ages and am dedicated to providing reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away! I just graduated from high school and am currently not taking classes over the summer. I work part-time at a barn, so I have a fairly open schedule. I am also very flexible and can meet the needs of any pet parent! In my experience, each pet sitting job is unique so I will follow each pet parent’s schedule and instructions. I pay great attention to detail and am responsible with timelines for tasks.
“Alyssa was so great with our kitty Marceline! She responded very quickly when I first reached out, and our kitty was comfortable with her right away. She had great attention to detail and was very pleasant to work with. I could tell from the pictures each day that our kitty was very happy with her! We would definitely use her as a sitter again in the future!”

We chose Josh to care for Jake and Levi while we went for a long weekend. He was excellent! He sent pictures at every meeting, medicated Jake appropriately and kept Levi happily fed. The other 3 cats were pleased with his time there as well! I heard no complaints from anyone 😺😹😽

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chaska. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
