About: I've been an animal lover my whole life - growing up with family dogs, adopting my own dog after college, and subsequently acquiring two cats (through the cat distribution system, of course!). For the last two years, I have worked part-time as a dog-walker for a local professional company in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition, I have done house-sitting for friends and family while away, taking care of dogs, cats, fish, and plants! About: I had dogs and cats my whole entire childhood through high school years. Shortly after my husband and I got married, we rescued a husky, who we named Wylie. He was the center of our world for many years. He passed away in 2016. We started doing Rover a year ago so we could get our dog fix when our schedule allows. I work from home and love the companion of having your dog hang out with me. I typically get out for a couple of half mile to mile walks a day while I have a dog with us. We have great trails through the canyon and woods behind our house which offers great shade on hot summer days when dog walking. For dogs who can't be off leash, we would take them out to the bathroom and walk them around the yard. My office is on the lower level, with a walk-out sliding glass door that tends to be a favorite spot for the dogs to sit and watch outside. The dogs also love to be on our back deck, which is gated to keep them on the deck.
