About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I never had a dog or cat growing up so I was always trying to find ways to spend time with others pets, including asking the neighbors if their dogs could come out and play! I have a dog of my own now who just turned 10 and have a cat as well. I work from home so happy to get out of the house and meet new pets friends! I am currently working full time from home. My schedule is pretty flexible so I can be available for drops ins and walks on both week days or weekends. I’m very detail oriented and love to make animals feels safe. Just let me know best practices for your pet so I can give them the same level of care you give them!

About: I’ve owned and cared for dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. From our neighbors cat who we invited to our birthday parties as kids, to the 3 precious dogs I’ve had the honor of being a mama to. Nash (weimer) left us in 2019 at 12 years old. We just said goodbye to Oliver (Puggle) in August of 2025 at 17 years old! And we currently still get to love on Riggins, our 10 year old Frenchie. With Nash and Oliver living such long lives, I have experience caring for all ages, from puppies to seniors. I work from home full time as a sales executive, so my flexible schedule allows me to step away as needed for care. I am also an early riser, so I am available to breakfast feed an walk early. My dogs are my babies, so I know the importance of having someone to rely on. If you need me to drop in and/or feed or give medicine, potty break/walk etc. at a specific time, I understand how important it is to not be late. If they need something at 3:30, it will be 3:30, not 3:45.

About: I have taken care of dogs for my entire life. When I was five we got our first Boston terrier and prior to that we had a yellow lab. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and we had a yellow lab who unfortunately passed away 12 years ago from a medical issue and now we have an English setter who is 11 1/2 and a another English Setter who is two years old. I also have worked part time at a doggy daycare. I currently work full-time as a teacher in Bloomington however I am more than willing to let dogs out before school or after school or in the early evening and during the weekends. I also have my summers off so I’m more than willing to walk dogs during the summer. We care for our pets in our home very diligently. We love and spoil our pets. We do have a fenced in backyard. We have an 11 1/2 year old English setter and adopted a 12 year old English Setter 1 year ago, who unfortunately passed away from cancer. We have a English setter who is two.

About: We are a dedicated husband-and-wife pet care team providing a premium, safety-first experience for your family's pets. By balancing our schedules, we ensure consistent, round-the-clock supervision, meticulous routine management, and absolute peace of mind. - What We Offer and Why People Choose Us Premium Dog Boarding: A kennel-free, loving home environment featuring frequent potty walks, structured play sessions, and on-schedule feeding. We are highly experienced in managing multi-dog dynamics safely and often care for multiple dogs in one day. - Specialized Feline Drop-Ins: Expert in-home care focusing on stress-free prescription medication administration (pills/liquids), fresh bowl rotation, daily litter box sanitization, and tailored playtime. - Small & Exotic Animals: Precise feeding and strict cage hygiene for birds, hamsters, and reptiles. - Real-Time Updates: High-quality photos and videos provided with every service so you're always connected. - Uncompromising Safety Standards We operate a strict "leash-before-the-door-opens" policy in our two-story townhouse. Because our backyard is unfenced, pets are securely leashed before stepping outside and remain leashed on all walks and park visits. - We prefer a free-roaming environment but strictly honor your preferences if you choose to bring your pet's familiar crate from home. - Our home includes two school-aged children (a toddler and a teen) raised to respect animal boundaries—perfect for pets who love gentle human socialization. - We don't just "sit" pets; we protect and pamper them as if they were our own. Whether we are dropping in to carefully administer your cat's medicine or welcoming your dog into our home, your pet receives the punctual, devoted care of two passionate professionals. - Still have questions? Let us know in our conversation during a meet and greet. Pet care is one of our daily priorities. We love animals and just want them to be as happy with what we do for them as how they want to be around us. We always treat your pets like they’re our own. We have a patio we use to hang out with our furry visitors, but mainly we keep them inside to reduce noise impact on the community.

About: I have a passion for pets, I am an owner of a cat and dog. I understand the importance of mental and physical exercise as well as the right time for affection and love. I have rehabilitated a dog of my own and gone through extensive professional training with him. I am familiar with signs of stress and I do my best to protect my pets. I have a soft spot for dogs but believe in a good home and loving environment for all pets. It is important that we remain the alpha and teach our pets that they can trust us. We will protect them out in the environment around new people, dogs, cats, cars, bikes, etc. They don't have to worry because they are our best friend and we got this!

About: I have a special love for animals and have been relied on by friends and family for many years to help out with their pets when needed. I am able to take care of pets of any age or breed, but am especially good with senior care. I am available to come help out after 5pm during the week, outside of my other job hours, and am available all day on the weekends. We have a fenced in backyard at home for when we had dogs to let outside. We now just have cats, and spend time playing with them, cleaning litter boxes, and loving them.

About: Pets make life better! They are family. If they behave well, they should be spoiled! I have always had dogs. I grew with up with dogs and now I have my own. I have never owned a cat because my mom is allergic, but I really enjoy them! I care for my friends two cats frequently. I love caring for, playing, and walking animals! I love getting outside to walk. I also love playing fetch and tug of war. I also enjoy playing with feather or ribbon cat toys! I am good with any age animal. They all need love and attention! My dog is 2, so I have been through the puppy stage recently. He has a lot of energy so I know how much exercise dogs need.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shakopee. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
