Hello! My name is Kara. I grew up always having and being around animals and now owning two cats of my own. I studied Animal Science at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls for three years before taking some time to work full time. During that time, I had the pleasure of working and competing with the university’s horses as a part of the IHSA Hunt Seat Team. I was also able to gain more experience caring, working, and training a large variety of dogs with many different needs at Paws and Claws Pet Resort. I worked there for a little over a year before moving to Prior Lake. I’ve also spent some time working in the Pork Industry as a Farrowing Technician where I would primarily care and deliver newborn piglets. I have experience giving topical, oral, and injectable medications and feel confident with animals of all different ages and temperaments! :)

I will not be able to have client's pets in my home due to my apartment's contract, however I treat pets with kindness and respect and will follow the client’s instructions with care. :) Unfortunately I am not able to take client’s pets into my home, however when at their home or with their pet; I am there to work and provide them with the best care I can. My full attention will be on them and keeping them safe and happy.

Kara did great checking in on our pups and getting them outside. She’s been a great communicator and sends lots of photos. She’s is great to work with!
She was very good with my older cat. I came home and he was happy and brushed. Definitely hire her again!

Kara has a great deal of experience working with pets. She has taken quality care and love for her own pets and has pet sat for friends. She has experience with dogs, cats, rats, hamsters and even horses. She researches breeds and the needs of various animals prior to caring for them. Kara is reliable and can be counted on for following through and puts the needs of the pets first.

Schedule
I work full time from about 8:30am-4pm (monday-friday), but I would be more than happy to watch or walk your pet during the weekends or before / after work! I get summers off from my full time job and will have more availability soon.
