“These folks are tremendous! They are so kind and attentive to each dog. Many photos and almost daily communications are sent to the "dog parents". They are attuned to any special needs a dog may have.”

“This was our first Rover and at first we were apprehensive to book, however, Katrina and Drew did a great job taking care of our two dogs. We got to meet Katrina and Drew before booking and immediately knew our dogs would be in good hands. They are nice and easy going people which we naturally gravitated towards. While we were gone they sent us pictures and updates of the dogs. Would definitely recommend. We will use them again over a dog boarding place in a heartbeat.”

“I know that Ollie had another great time with Gunner and Andrew’s family because he’s excited to see them, he has fun in the backyard and eats well. I really appreciate updates and pictures. Thank you Andrew!”

“Frank and Clarissa were great! They’re responsive and attentive and provided excellent updates. We were glad to have them watch our dog without any concern or incident while away.”

“We are SO thankful to have found Mary! Teddy was so well taken care of and loved while we were away. He got lots of walks, snuggles, and playtime with his new bestie, Izzy! Mary is absolutely amazing and we are definitely booking her for our next trip!”

“Once again Ella seemed to thoroughly enjoy her stay with Liss. Liss was very flexible and provided daily pictures. I appreciate knowing Ella is in good hands while I am gone.”

“Leslie was the best. We found her last minute after our dog sitter cancelled. She treated our dog like one of their own. So flexible, sent me great pics throughout the week. My dog was so well cared for and so loved. Highly recommend!”

“Jeremiah and family are so caring and loving with our dear dog!! Started with daycare 3 nights and moved on to boarding for 6 nights!! Our doodle was very well loved and taken care of. Highly recommend this family!”

“Trudy takes excellent care of my dog and keeps me posted on how her stay is going. My dog enjoys staying with Trudy and her family. They take her on walks and treat her like a member of the family.”

“I had a great experience with Rosemarie. Beginning with a prompt response to a late night request for availability, and ending with a happy pic of my pup - excited for his pickup... I was constantly kept in the loop. During my time away, I was consistently informed on my dog's daily activity through photos and updates, which ensured that I was confident of his comfort and happiness while in Rosemarie's care!”

“Brenna was a great communicator and our Frenchie appeared very comfortable at her house. We enjoyed our vacation more knowing he was being cared for in a dog loving home, instead of at a kennel. Thank you Brenna!”

“I could not be more pleased then I am with Shayla and my experience of boarding our Morkie with her and her family! Charlie was so well-cared for and seemed to love his experience at her fun/busy home. I received regular updates from Shayla which helped me to feel at ease since I had never left him with anyone. Also, the cute photos she sent assured me that he was having a great time and he was tuckered out from all of the fun he had too! ?”

“Brittany and her husband were GREAT!! She watched our dog Tucker for a few days while we were moving. She kept us up to date on how he was doing, and followed all of our instructions caring for him. We really appreciated her flexibility in timing dropping him off and picking him up - we unexpectedly needed to extend our booking an extra night, and was happy to accommodate this last-minute. I recommend Brittany without reservation - we'll definitely be re-booking in the future!”

“I boarded my dog with Barbara for the first time when I was out of town on a week long vacation. Ramona was very comfortable at Barbara's house and got along great with her dog Frankie! Barbara went above and beyond when Ramona got an upset stomach in the middle of the stay and needed to go to the vet. She was very attentive and noticed right away when Ramona started to not feel well, and recommended different vets to me when my vet couldn't get us in on the same day. She was very communicative with me during the whole time and helped to reassure me since I couldn't be there in person. Also, Barbara was very accommodating and welcomed Ramona to stay an extra night when I had flight cancellations and delays getting home. Knowing my dog was in a safe and caring place helped to ease some of the more stressful parts of travel. Would definitely recommend Barbara as a pet sitter!”

“Catherine was absolutely wonderful! This was Zuri's first time staying away from home and Catherine went above and beyond to make her feel at home. Catherine sent daily updates and photos, which were much appreciated, and lots of special treats and special love were given. Zuri also enjoyed having another dog to play with, as she is an only child. I would highly recommend Catherine and will definitely use her again.”

“We had an amazing experience! Our sweet 11-year-old golden retriever, Marley, was so well cared for and clearly treated like family. We really appreciated the updates and photos—it gave us total peace of mind. Marley came home happy, relaxed, and well loved. Highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Prior Lake
Taya seemed to love her time with Becky and her family! She definitely had a blast spending her days chasing, and being chased by, Spencer!! Taya gave Becky a little scare towards the end of the trip, but Becky communicated immediately and we collaborated and Becky handled it well! Also, so thankful for all the photos she sent us every day, to help ease the separation. We were all missing Taya terribly - but it was wonderful to know she was fine and obviously happy.

We were so happy with our experience having Ashley and Timothy take care of our dog, Patches. This is the first time we've had someone other than a family member watch her and we were able to relax on our vacation and not worry because we knew she was being taken care of. They provided photo updates which was great to see that she was enjoying her time. We would definitely reach out to Ashley and Timothy in the future if we needed someone to watch her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
